for some reason, even if it doesn't make sense in the end, i can't help but think of how painful it'd be if malleus ends up forgetting how lilia, silver and sebek looked like.

if i remember correctly, malleus is extremely young for a fae, especially for a dragon. lilia doesn't have much time left, silver is a human, and it's difficult to say how long sebek will live as a hybrid. malleus is less than 200 years old, that's not even a fifth of his life, if being 1000 would be the age at which a dragon fae is considered an adult.

unless he manages to keep paintings, photographs, portraits, anything similar well-preserved, he might forget one day. the ones he held so dear to his heart may fade away as mere memories of days long past.

malleus is destined to live for hundreds, thousands of years for his people, so he wouldn't be able to join them any time soon. his family and friends would be gone in the blink of an eye.

i'm not sure how different a fae's memory may be from a human's, they most likely remember more, as they're born as a race that lives for centuries, but everyone forgets one day.
