Quel honneur. Quel bonheur. Quelle chance. De là nait la gratitude. De là nait la bienveillance. De là nait l'Amour.

Meow! I'm Elle, and I come with exciting news-my adoption fee has been generously sponsored by a wonderful Good Samaritan! Now, all that's missing is a forever home filled with love and tranquility. At my age, I've become a connoisseur of the simple pleasures life has to offer. While my vision may not be as sharp as it once was, I've mastered the art of savoring each moment. A cozy bed, a quiet nook for undisturbed naps-these are the elements that create the perfect haven for me. Food is another delight I've grown to appreciate, and the way to my heart is through treats and delicious meals. A well-timed treat or a satisfying meal can truly make my day purr-fect! I find joy in the balance between cherished alone time and the warmth of gentle pets and affectionate gestures. Ideal for a home without young kids or other pets, I'm in search of a serene sanctuary where I can bask in the love and pampering of a devoted human companion. Despite my visual challenges, I've adapted gracefully and continue to revel in the company of caring humans. Love flows abundantly from me, and all I seek in return is a calm and understanding environment where I can live out my golden years in comfort. If you're yearning for a gentle, sweet-natured companion who revels in cuddle sessions and embraces a quiet lifestyle, then we might just be the perfect match. Let's brighten and cozy up each other's lives by sharing our days together! Adopting me means bringing endless love and joy into your home-let's make it happen!

@lesbiancassius' (very late) february reads
yes I will do this monthly now.
books (as it turns out, I was busy. one book)
Enter Ghost, Isabella Hammad - An actor, Sonia, returns to visit her sister Haneen in Haifa and gets caught up in playing Gertrude in a Hamlet production in the West Bank. Stellar.
short fiction & poetry
Why Don’t We Just Kill the Kid in the Omelas Hole, Isabel J. Kim - obsessed with this on title alone. It has such a feel to it in the way it moves that I envy.
Parthenogenesis, Piya Patel - horror that makes me want to peel out of my skin and/or get a hysterectomy.
Eschatology, Eve L. Ewing - poem that was circulating recently and God. Fuck, dude. Yeah. Yeah.
Ouroboros, Megan Xing - The to-do lists in this got me because I was having my little freak out before my show went up where you think you can fix everything with to-do lists. Also heavily feeling replacing ineffective psych meds with yogurt, a pickle, and two advil.
I also read Cancer Buffet by Mary Hannah Terzino and Soft Opening by Elle Nash, but I was tired and don’t remember them.
(some) articles
Who Was Barbie? (A Symposium), n+1 magazine - this cemented to me that I truly, truly do not care about Barbie or the Barbie movie and if I have to hear anything about it ever again I'm smashing a bowl on purpose
A bunch of Hera Lindsay Bird’s advice column, which is delightful.
Let’s talk about Goodreads, Nicole Brinkley. There are many days I am glad I do not want to pursue a career as solely an author of novels. Godspeed to the authors out there you're braver than I will ever be.
Saving a Life, Patricia Lockwood - my god I have got to read a Patricia Lockwood book, and also my god getting grievously ill on vacation is one of my greatest fears so this one made me a little bit crazy.
The Secret Life: On the poet Molly Brodak, Patricia Lockwood - again, my god, I need to read a Patricia Lockwood book.
A Final Checklist Before You Print up Your Play, Rick Roberts - this reminded me so much of Joshua McGuire’s Rules For Writing Libretto, which I think of a lot.
“I think the word is dignity” — Rachel Corrie’s Letters from Gaza — I don’t know what to say. Read these if you can. They’re striking.
The Sexual Status of Aeschylus’ Cassandra, Paula Debnar - I can put an academic paper here you're not the boss of me. why I opened this one I don't remember but I was fervently texting friends in the middle of a certainly unrelated class about it because I've never been normal about Kassandra and Klytemnestra and I'm not going to start now.
tv/movies
Rewatching Severance, slowly.
Rewatching Sort Of, less slowly - this is probably niche to non-Canadian readers but it is a very good show.
Watched The Prince, which was a long time coming, and then wrote a paper about it. Bless.
tbr/nightstand
in the midst of Salvage the Bones, which is of course very good
Helen of Troy: from Homer to Hollywood
I'm gonna be rereading like every play off my Shakespeare class syllabus for the final which I wish I was more excited about

Two of Great American Family‘s major stars are teaming up for a new holiday movie.
TV Insider has learned exclusively that Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison will star in a new original holiday film, Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells. It will premiere in November as part of Great American Christmas 2024. The holiday event is in its fourth season.
In this upcoming film, Bure plays Gracie, who is Peachtree Inn’s perfect wedding planner and whose mantra, “No problems, only solutions waiting to be discovered,” makes blushing brides’ dreams come true. When Charlie (played by Mathison) brings his sister and future brother-in-law to their former hometown of Butler, South Carolina, expecting to create a magical Christmas Eve wedding at the Inn for Lindsay and Josh, the trio is stunned when Gracie stubbornly declines the job, saying it is not possible to pull off the perfect wedding two weeks before Christmas. Eventually, Gracie relents and agrees to plan the wedding, only to discover there are more hurdles to overcome than expected.
In addition to starring in Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells, Bure serves as an executive producer. Also executive producing the film are Holly A. Hines, Eric Jarboe, Jeffery Brooks, Ford Englerth, Gerald Webb, Paula Elle, and Trevor McWhinney. The film is produced by Mick MacKay. Supervising producers are Michael Shepard, Jonathan Shore, and Robyn Wiener. Serving as associate producers are David Oland and Trudi Thorwaldson. Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells is directed by Elle from an original screenplay written by Katie Main.
This isn’t the first film Great American Family already has set for its Great American Christmas 2024. Others include A Vintage Christmas starring Merritt Patterson and Christopher Russell; Love at the Kettle (working title) starring Carlos PenaVega and Alexa PenaVega; and A Christmas Less Traveled starring Bure and Eric Johnson.

Legally Blonde glee au?
Hmmm… okay okay okay.
Well the obvious choice for Elle feels like Brittany but then the more I think about it the more obvious it becomes to me that actually Quinn without the trauma of a teen pregnancy, family disownment, a car accident and being in glee club would absolutely be an Elle Woods by the time she hits college. So, let’s roll with that:
Finn as Warner, Rachel as Vivien Kensington, Santana as Emmett (sorry my Quinntana brain took over today), Mercedes as Paula, Sam as UPS guy, Brittany/Kitty as sorority sisters, Sue as Prof Hollingsworth & Schue as that sleazy other professor dude. Oh and let’s make Holly Holliday the defendant suspected of killing her husband. Or April Rhodes. Either option works.
Finn and Quinn meet in college. He’s the college football star and has no business becoming a lawyer, but his Dad (alive) wants him to do something important with his life than play sport and has more than a few connections among the Ivy League circles. So, Harvard Law it is.
Quinn isn’t as outwardly ditsy as Elle but she is constantly looked down on by her classmates because she’s a) blonde and b) values her material wealth a lot. Also, she’s made a point of dumbing herself down over the years to appear less threatening towards men. Smart girls don’t get husbands, after all.
Santana catches Quinn trying not to cry outside Sue Sylvester’s class on her first day at law school. They trade snide remarks for a while then part ways wearing matching smiles. It’s the highlight of Quinn’s day.
Quinn is allergic to dogs but she has a cat named Simon who accompanies her everywhere. Simon hates Finn.

⏱️Prendre son temps vs LE RUSH
Voici Paula.
