one of the silver linings of food having gotten so much more expensive is that eating at local restaurants ends up being the same price or cheaper than a lot of fast food. I just got a bowl of potato soup big and hearty enough to feed me for a meal and a half, a can of soda, a brownie and a side for $11 at my little local deli. even factoring in the tip it’s only around 13$. and now i’m supporting the local economy and a really unique place that’s the kind of restaurant i’d love to see more of. and maybe enough people will be able to start doing that, that it becomes more and more possible for more little local places to succeed. idk. i know everything is really scary right now. but i’m trying to find the silver linings. and a really good bowl of potato soup is helping out <3

We have finally finished this project, and thus, The World's Worst Dating Sim is finally DONE! Just in time for April Fools Day. Now, with our six new contestants, choose, uhh... who's dateable? Or not dateable? This last batch was determined almost entirely by People Telling Us Who To Add, contains multiple AUs, and is... hmm. "Unconventional" may be a good term? Half of these are probably undateable but you can still shoot your shot.

As previously, it can be a platonic date if you want, you just can't be neutral. Deadlander Lambda belongs to @cordycepsbian and has been moved into our studio for duration of this poll. Profiles below the cut.

A charming mystery from somewhere only described as "a faraway land", though he wasn't quite scheduled in this lineup, we think we can make an exception. This silver-tongued bug seems to be able to say just what's needed to get under your skin... and from the look of it, he's angling to take you somewhere private.

...come to think of it, haven't we seen that face before? On a poster, maybe? Well, it's not a surprise he's been modelling for things, he's certainly got a pretty enough face for it, but why do we feel... nervous, all of a sudden?

Well, we assume that you can do less lethal than the bandit who people mostly know thanks to her former job as a corpse disposal unit, but some people might be into that sort of thing, honestly. Are you, perchance, also a mantis?

As a note, because it was brought to my attention that sometimes my excitement/disappointment cycles can come across as very rude when interacting with others in the same fandoms- if I become negative about something, it's usually because I want it to succeed. I am so excited for the bones, but when the meal is delivered, the meat attached to them is just fat and gristle.

I also have a tendency to have very long and winding ideas but trail off in the middle because I get tired of typing/getting them out of my head/connecting all the dots on my internal murder board out loud, but still post what I have because I still want to say it and hope others can finish my thoughts with me.

I am trying to be more considerate when replying, but I am very blunt and tend to speak in what looks like absolute statements because in my head there's a lot of the conversation already filled in, so of course we're already on the same page. But sometimes we aren't even reading the same book.

So, apologies in advance if I come off as mean or talking over your points. I am a person that tells a story of similar pain when someone is expressing how they're hurting to show I understand and have felt the same way. Some people take comfort in that, some people think I'm trying to one-up them in their time of vulnerability.

I am excited! I am SO EXCITED to talk to people that enjoy/hate the same things as I do! I want to share thoughts and argue about the little details in a friendly way. Arguing without stakes is fun! Debating isn't about who wins or loses, but all the interesting points a different view can bring to all sides of the table!

alright i know you dont know me but. your art is really great, i can barely find the motivation to do art at all.

and it's worth saying. it gets better. but not on its own. it takes a lot of effort that's hard to make sometimes. you can't just wait. you gotta burn life's house down with the lemons. rip out life's spine and use it as a lasso to wrangle stuff back into place. the hard part is starting that process. im still stuck in the static but i know people who got out, it can happen.

sorry if this is weird from someone you don't know. i just hope i can help at all.
