you really got me thinking now about what i even like lmao. i'm really not very picky with tropes, tags, genres or shy of warnings, very much someone who will give everything a read at least once and see where i end up.

it's usually all thanks to the author's own way of writing, planning, detailing and imagination that has me continue reading their works - so it's really not me exaggerating when i tell you, you (and loren btw.) won't disappoint me since your writing gets better and better the more i read. <3

if i wanted to pitch some ideas to you, i might just have to dust off my own archive from when i used to write years ago lmao i'm sure i can find unfinished wips and mapped brainstorms somewhere neglected inbetween paragraphs lol but to maybe give a general idea or inspo so far..

I first (actively) got into Hetalia in early 2022 iirc. So I'm pretty new to the fandom but I can't believe it's already been 2 years!

My favorite Hetalia character fluctuates and it's so hard to decide tbh!! So it'd be easier for me to list my top favs instead: Nyo Russia & Russia, Nyo America, Canada, Germany & Nyo Germany, Nyo Belarus & Belarus, Romano, and Prussia. I like a lot of others too ofc... England, France & Nyo France, Nyo Italy, Spain & Nyo Spain...

If I were to pick a top top top fav it'd have to be Nyo Russia(if you couldn't tell by my pfp lol). I love her design and the personality I gave her in my head. I'm very picky about her characterization and tend to throw out many drafts attempting her. She is so complex... Although Nyo Germany, Nyo America, and more recently Canada are up there too. I love writing and reading them! I've also gotten a new appreciation for Arthur? I now get why he used to be a Tumblr sexyman lol. He's very versatile

My top otp must be Amecan I guess, though USUK was my first ship and it's still a top contender. I was obsessed with Gerpru for some time so it's also up there! I also like Rusger, especially the Nyo Russia x Germany combination which tends to be nonexistent in the western fandom. And Nyo Rusbela gives me brainworms that regular Rusbela doesn't for some reason

As for ships I dislike... I'm probably gonna have to go against the grain here and say Rusame. The art and fics of it are usually so beautiful but it's just really not to my tastes. I don't like it in any variation, though I'll still read it if it's well written. My friends are VERY into it so no shade to anyone who likes it lol. Other popular ships I'm also not into are Rusliet, Prucan, and Rochu.

And yeah I hydrate myself like a camel don't worry. Drinking tea nonstop is part of my culture. I hate coffee but my doctor says I need to consume more caffeine so I may have to force myself to start drinking it 😔😔

Hm. The main thing that comes to mind that isn't something Specific (or like a kink/smut thing which...I don't read a lot of smut fics anyway?) would probably be amnesia plotlines [she says, fully aware that that's a key part of one of her own original verses].

I guess it's not so much the idea of amnesia in and of itself, and more the way it tends to be used in fics, especially in a shipping context, it gets weird and uncomfortable and while I'm generally super into H/C tropes, something about the way amnesia storylines tend to play out just. Does Not Do It For Me.

Oh, omegaverse, I guess. Have never really understood the appeal of that.

Not a fandom trope, exactly, but the obligatory arc in team-based properties where everyone's fighting each other? Hate that. No thank you. Most of fandom also tends to hate those arcs though, lol, so it's mostly a thing I have to deal with in canon.

I'm also generally not into soulmate AUs, unless it's something baked into the structure of the fandom from the beginning (i.e., lifebonds in Valdemar) but there are exceptions to that (sometimes SW, particularly BSG).

Lately I seem to be invested in surrogate parent/child dynamics a lot? Or actual parent/child dynamics but involving adoption or otherwise connecting later in life rather than Raised From Birth.

Also, most whump/H/C tropes, though I tend to be picky about who gets hurt.

I tend to get invested in characters with Complicated Loyalties and/or Alignments, as well.

Also Batfam/DC comics stuff.

Uh, okay, a blitz through some of the things that have floated through my head lately:

I've been thinking a lot about Zarek lately, actually, for a variety of reasons (including a backstory/character profile fic that I swear will materialize someday). Watch him also take on a bigger role than I planned in The Other Battlestar, lol.

Also thinking about adaptations, and what makes a good one vs. a bad one; both because the Les Mis brainrot is still strong (I still need to do my rewatch of the 2012 movie, maybe this weekend), and in talking about the WoT TV series with my dad (he doesn't like it, thinks it takes things too far away from the source material; I agree that it's doing some Very different things to the point where it's borderline a different story at this point But the touchstones I like are still strong enough for me, even with the Heavy nostalgia goggles)

Crossovers! Crossovers are a lot of fun; there are still a handful of BSG/SW crossovers I want to write someday, plus the BSG1 crossover AU outline I started...like...two years ago, lol...

Always sort of in the background thinking about redemption arcs/morally grey characters and/or storylines (see above re: complicated loyalties and alignments being a Thing for me, lol). I haven't written anything on the subject in a while, but sometimes go back and reread old essays.

Why did you choose your url?

Tamtam, or rather Tam has been my nickname in real life for a while. It's just short for my actual name. And you know Tomtom navigation? They've had that slogan Tomtom go back when navigation systems where the hottest sh*t. So Tomtom -> Tamtam you get it? I use that name only for at least 15 years. 92 is just the year I was born since tamtam_go was already taken.

I had to check but my first reblog is form April 2016 so I guess it's been my tumblr birthday this month!

I was pretty active on deviantArt but stopped doing art when my drawing tablet broke and I noticed that some of my mutuals there were going away to tumblr, god knows why. And I just followed them and then I discovered simblr and then I really got back into simming and here we are now...

It's my simself, a really outdated one though. In between I've had my hair short and bleached and now it's grown back above collarbone. Someone once pointed out my simself looks like Loki Beaker...

So this is a relict from my DeviantArt days and I've used this header ever since I have this account. It's the last piece I uploaded on DA and was probably my best one xD I really want something more fitting to the theme of my blog but I really just can't let go of it...

I did have a small fight about the genetical aspects of the Naruto couple NejiHina. Listen, I don't engage in shipping wars. I turn 30 this year, I'm over this. And I don't have anything against relationships between cousins, you do you, okay? And I agree that in a historical view, Neji and Hinata should probably have married and would probably have married. I only told that one person, that genetically speaking Neji and Hinata are half-siblings since their fathers are identical twins. That was all. They were pretty pissed at me and asked me how that made them half-siblings. I tried explaining but I dropped it after another angry response...
