What was your craziest lab accident? Also did you know they used to have students make chlorine gas in college in the 70's in the USA (also in highschool too?? If my college chem prof is to be believed)

ummm the ones that FEEL the craziest are when someone's freezer goes down, because then suddenly everyone is moving as fast as possible to move stuff to new freezers.

i think in terms of "oh i should have called someone about that" accidents, the winner is the time i added bleach to my bacterial waste to kill the bacteria, but then it turned out i'd also dumped some chemicals in there that should NOT have been mixed with bleach. the beaker got hot and it formed a thick foam

other Mistakes:

dropping pathogenic bacteria

dropping a piece of equipment worth tens of thousands of dollars

the time i dropped the centrifuge lid on my hand and fucked it up

the time i bled? into a gel??

the time i was cleaning up our cell culture area and cut myself on broken glass that was just... there. for some reason
