I'm not including a situation where someone might be injured because in that case I'm thinking the bed goes to them by default or they are nominated for it. anyone who wants to be chatty goes to join the living room floor gang.

What are your thoughts and headcanons? Do you have thoughts on how the boys tend to approach assigning beds in inns? Who do the chain choose to sleep near when camping and why? What are their dynamics like when settling down for the night and getting ready for the day?

In "Mirror Vs Open Closet Door: Fight!" by Gintrinsic (here) Four refers to the chain's decision on how to split up between inn rooms as the "Link-per-room ratio" which I find very funny. He, Sky, and Time also talk about their thought process behind why they do or don't want to sleep in a room with some of the others which I find fun and interesting.

What do you think happens most often though?#each answer is a fun scenario so it's difficult to choose #but I think they'd try to act politely around Malon and Time for the first couple visits with straws or rock paper scissors #or showing generosity by offering the bed to someone else. (I bet Malon saying they're charming is quite the incentive #for more possible compliments. The chain as a whole would want to prove her right xD )#Once they're more comfortable in the house though I can totally see Wind and Legend making a mad dash for it while Wars yells after them xD #Wind probably ends up sharing with Four a lot since they're the littles #or Wind snuggles in with Wars Legend Wild etc #Wild and Twi/Wolfie have claimed the spot on the floor by the fireplace.#For inn rooms / castle rooms / camping - I tend to group them by how they're grouped a lot already #but a lil mixed up #Time - Sky - Wars are the good rest trio. they want a good night's rest please let them get their beauty sleep. often joined by Four #Wars goes between this group and wherever Legend is depending on how chatty he is that night.#Twi - Wild - Hyrule are snuggle/proximity buddies #Legend is attached to Hyrule's hip or sets up near Warriors to gossip and gripe. I can also see him setting up near Wild #in the eye of the storm as it were or just an interesting place to be. Wild and Hyrule can get to chatting about everything and anything #so if Legend wants background noise (Hyrule and Wild podcast omg)-#or a conversation he can be half a part of and jump in and out of while getting ready for the night or in the mornings-#this is a good place to be. add Wind and things get a bit more chaotic.#Wind gravitates to Wars and Legend too when curious and chatty. He gravitates towards Time when he wants something calmer.#Four tends to be near Sky or Twi or to Legend's group for the same reasons #I can see Four and Twi having a little book club going during downtimes where they talk about what they're reading. Sky likes to listen. <3 #Wind thinks they're nerds but so is he and he can't resist a good story so he orbits and sometimes settles in and peppers questions.#it's funny that Time Sky and Wars want to sleep the most but Legend follows Wars to chat (and ends up bringing people with him xD )#there could be some conflict there oooo #Twi is by Time #it's almost a circle but with clusters of sleeping bags near on top of each other and filling the gaps

idk why I’m doing this to myself but I started plotting an au centered around keir so I downloaded pdf versions of the last three books and used the search to pull up every mention of his name from MAF on. he was mentioned/named a total of 176 times (most of that in WAR and most of that was because of the darkbringers) and I think I’m coming out as a keir-sympathizer cause bro wtf were all of these scenes??? if I had to watch a couple fuck in front of me without control of my own body I would hate those people too

#aside from that bit with thanatos and his daughter keir could actually be read as a sympathetic character #but because our perception is colored by feyre’s unreliability as a narrator #and the fact it’s been revealed mor wasn’t entirely honest about what happened to her that brings the whole situation into a murky #kind of grey area now I don’t doubt the nail thing (kinda sorta it’s complicated tbh) but it does make me wonder how truthful she was about #life in the hewn city and how much of a mask the city puts on for rhysand that same way he does when he deigns to visit what is supposedly #his ancestral home (and how closely he and mor are related but that’s a separate rant)#idk there’s just a lot of unanswered questions I have around keir and his place in the night court and I don’t think him getting the #‘evil for evils sake all i want is power and idc how i get it’ brush is fair to him or an example of good or nuanced storytelling #(not that I ever expect that from sjm but the point still stands)#anti rhysand #anti night court #just for good measure this is really just supposed to be me talking to myself #words on the wind

#I hadn’t posted about this but last night I found out that my cousin’s kid had gone missing while travelling with friends in Barcelona #they’d lost contact with him 24 hours earlier #and couldn’t find him anywhere #and my mum was with my cousin at the police station for a few hours while they launched an investigation #that basically went from the Victoria police > Australian federal police > interpol > Barcelona police #nobody had any idea where he was and it was genuinely terrifying #anyway I just woke up to a message from mum #saying that they found him and he was okay #his phone and wallet had been stolen #and the poor kid had been wandering around Barcelona for almost two full days trying to find the airbnb #what a massive relief #we were all so worried about him #I guess he was initially a little drunk and shaken up by having his stuff stolen #so didn’t think to wait in the last place he’s seen his friends #and by the time he sobered up he was dehydrated and exhausted and hungry so wasn’t thinking any clearer #especially seeing as it’s been pretty hot there #anyway let this be a psa reminder that if you’re visiting a country where you don’t speak the language #ALWAYS make sure you have a planned meeting point that you know how to find #in case you get into a situation like this #and at the very least learn how to ask for help in the language the locals speak #god he’s so lucky he didn’t end up passed out from heat stroke #or worse

#about mav #he wouldve loved it #it rained last night so everything was wet and lightly swampy #it was windy but not super windy #if i squinted i could almost see him running through the grass with his nose up in the wind #he wouldve really liked it #ive never done anything like that before #but it brought me a lot of comfort #i can say with pretty good confidence that this was probably his favourite place out of everywhere we visited #he loved every adventure but he loved tall grass most of all #he was an extremely fun little dog #im glad we got to do this last walk together

i spent all morning looking for the cheapest ways to get to venice next monday and i feel like i've cracked the code or something i think i got it

#i have to talk it with my mum cause she's the one with the money #but i've seen some good ideas #i have 5 options for now #for some reason flights to and from venice from madrid are expensive as fuck #so i'll have to get to another airport first #here are my options. keep in mind the exam i have to take is on monday 10 at 9:30 am. also ideally i wouldn't want to pay a hotel room #in venice. cause they're expensive as fuck #so let's see. you can also help me out all help is welcomed:#option 1. on sunday i get on a train to barcelona. i sleep in bcn (most likely in a hostel at the airport)#and at 6:35 am there's a flight to venice from bcn for 64€#i arrive at 8:25. i go take the exam #and there's another flight off from venice to bcn at 16:45 for 75€#this is the cheapest flight out of venice i could find so this will always be the flight back #and then i arrive at bcn at 18:45 and have cheap trains to madrid at around 20:00 #option 2. i think this is the most likely one. it's similar to the previous one BUT instead of bcn i'd be flying from alacant #why is this important? because i have family there #more precisely my grandpa's sister. who just had a surgery #and my grandma wanted to go visit her. she was literally talking about this two days ago #so. if my mum agrees to it. she could drive us three to alacant on sunday #we would sleep at my great aunt (?)'s place #and then i'd have a flight at 5:45 to venice for 70€#i'll get to venice at 8:00 and then the going home plan is the same #if she doesn't agree i have trains to alacant for 49€. and even if i wouldn't sleep with family (i have tons in alacant not just #the great aunt) hotels are definitely cheaper than in bcn #option 3. there's a flight from santander on sunday 9 for 14€ !!!!!#i could get on a night bus to santander for 71€ and be there at 6:30. the flight is at 10:10 and i would be in venice at 12:15 #i would have to sleep in venice but i think it would compensate for the flight being so cheap #and then you know the drill with the flight to bcn #option 4. this is also quite likely i think this is the cheapest and my favourite i think.#i could fly on sunday to florence from madrid for 54€. i would arrive at florence at 12:15
