Masks and Apples

(Dunno how well made this is, I feel rusty and I’m not sure if I wrote Kieran in character well!)

Kieran x Reader

Genre: Fluff, Romantic

Summary: The Festival of Masks is here! But Kieran has something he wants to tell you…

You smiled down at the pokeball in your hand, scanning the masked crowd for Kieran. You had something you wanted to give him, and you could only hope he’d accept.

You, him, and Carmine had all traveled back to Kitakami for this year’s Festival of Masks. And while you still didn’t have a mask for this year, you didn’t mind much.

“Hey look, this kid doesn’t have a mask!”

You turn your head to see a trio of older teens, all sporting a mask of the not-so-loyal three.

“Kitakami doesn’t have the space for an outsider like you!”

“Huh?” You felt a pang in your heart, wondering why these kids were being so mean to you. The mask stall was closed, it should make sense that you didn’t have a mask.

“Leave them alone.” A familiar voice sounded behind you, a hand sneaking to intertwine with yours.

You turned to see the familiar ogre mask Kieran wore.

“Oh look it’s Kieran!” They snickered at you both, “Or should I say Ogre boy?”

“Should I teach you a lesson? You know not to mess with me.” Kieran’s eyes went dark for a moment, an expression you haven’t seen in a long while.

The three teens all shuffled uneasily, eventually turning to leave. Kieran turned back to you with his bright eyes and a warm smile, hand still holding yours as he tugged you along to the candy apple stall.

With candied apples in hand, you both had moved to a quieter spot of the festival, seated on a bench.

“…Hey (Y/n)?” Kieran eventually piped up, tossing his now finished apple stick in a nearby bin. “I’ve got something for you.”

You couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh. “So do I.”

You gave each other a knowing look, and you both took out your pokeballs at the same time.

Yours held an Applin, so you only hoped Kieran’s did as well. Your face lit up at your hopes being confirmed, the smallest Applin you’ve ever seen popping out to rest on your lap.

“It’s so cute!”

“Do you accept?” Kieran asked shyly, your Applin already resting on his shoulder.

“I accept, Kieran.” You smiled brightly at him, leaning over to kiss his cheek.

A Family Matter

Hi all today I wanna talk about some of the new faces we are gonna see in the Indigo Disk, but more importantly I believe the situation is a….family matter (cue Steve Urkel)

But anyhoo starting out with the one EVERYONE picked up right away

Drayton, the dragon trainer….from unova….

I think he’s most likely Drayden’s grandson

Now on to one that’s a little more tricky but I happen to think is kinda obvious

Crispin, the flaming hot BBL member who has a passion for cooking

Now some people think he’s Alder’s grandson but like we already met his grandson.

There’s only one person (imo) his parent could be….

Inspired by his families gym/restaurant perhaps it inspired Crispin to follow in his father Chili’s footsteps

Now we’re cookin with fire stones, next up we have

Lacey, and your all probably thinking she couldn’t possible have a parent native to Unova….well my friends, I did a little digging (🤭🤭🤭) and I rustled up her father or grandfather…..

Like Clay and Lian (ancestor) she has the gemstone (jade) of her family

Now finally we get to our final BB League member the one who I had a hardest time sussing out a possible relative for

Amarys, the steel stype specialist

I admit I nearly gave up

Some folks believe Lenore is her mother, but that won’t work first off hair color and eye color is off, and the type specialties aren’t a match either

There is one person though who while not being a physical match does fit with Amarys better then Lenore

That’s right call me crazy, lock me up in a padded cell right next to Ghetsis, but I believe Colress is Amarys father

Okay I know that Lacey is Clay’s daughter and we’re all wondering who Lacey’s mom is but like… what if there is no mom? What if Lacey is adopted?

Like Clay was just in the mines, mining away. When he just finds baby Lacey toddling about. He freaks out because who in their right mind would just leave a BABY in a MINE that is DANGEROUS. So he just scoops her up and returns to town looking for the parents. It turns out she has no family so he’s just like “Welp I guess I have a daughter now.”

Also imagine his Excadrill looking at baby Lacey and immediately thinking “I shall protect this tiny human with my life”.

Just… single dad clay.
