Ooohh!!! I love creating Pokemon teams!! Hold up I'm about to go full nerd mode --

Okay so I crafted one for Luke on a whim since he's so connected with animals all ready. We got

Toppy the Rattata,

Theo the Teddiursa,

a Ducklett,

a Chatot,

a Slurpuff,

and a Carbink! (Though Bunnelby, Buneary, or either Nidoran would also work)

(As a bonus, Layton's team includes an Unown, a Sigilyph, and a Galarian Weezing. Phoenix has a Talonflame, a Masquerain, a Sigilyph, and either a Dragonite or a Salamance. Just some sort of Dragon.) (Bonus bonus, Claire has a Chingling/Chimecho on her team.)

Apollo team is a lot harder a think for me. I am coming up with this on the fly okay here we go

Hisuian Arcanine,

a Litleo,

a Larvesta (or maybe even a Slither Wing?),

a Basculin (evolves into Basculegion, of course),

a Goomy (also Hisuian form),

and then maybe a Cacnea. Because prickly jokes.

And then Snufkin team can go one of several ways!! Either he has no traditional team (but there is a Celebi always following him around...), he has an entirely Fish team (Arrokuda, Veluza, Finneon, Bruxish, Magikarp, Barboach), OR he has the team I built for him in ScarVio

a Dragonite (his Moominite, if you will),

a Smoliv,

a Finneon (/Basculin; would tie him to Apollo more),

a Dedenne,

a Klefki,

and either a Larvitar or Bramblin, I can't decide. (Sudowoodo also good.)

Hopefully my theming comes through on Snufkin and Apollo's teams lol thanks for asking this!!!

I found a Skrelp and he's filled with RAGE, I love him so much. He's not like actively trying to harm me, he would try to hit me with his poison if that was the case (I have protective gear anyway dw) but whenever I feed or interact with him he headbutts me it's very cute

I was thinking about the Legendverse and some of the gym leaders/ elite 4 members retiring as time moves on, right? My focus was Sinnoh, and as I was checking out gym leaders and the pokemon they used. In doing so I realized that up until the last two gyms, all the gyms leaders have only 3 pokemon. Now I know that Pokemon isn't meant to be super challenging, but I just feel like the leveling scale here is....pretty bad? Not as bad as Johto, but like. Noticably off. And it's not just Sinnoh, I feel like all the regions seems to have a problem with this. So I decided to rework some teams :). Because I can. My goal wasn't to make these gym fights super hard, but simply give the gym leaders a more reasonable amount of pokemon. The 6th gym leader should not have 3 pokemon. Powerful Pokemon, yes, but not 3.

I only did the gym leaders after the third one, since I feel like it's reasonable to have the first three gym leaders have 3 pokemon, then the next three have 4, and the last two have 5. Then the elite 4 and champion have a full team of 6. I didn't do the elite 4 since I was just focusing on the gym leaders. I'm also using the platinum ranking of the gym leaders, so the third gym leader is Fantina, meaning her team stays the same. Okay? Okay!

First up we have Maylene. I know that Lucian has his signature pokemon be Gallade in platinum, but I don't care lol. I think it would be cool for Maylene to have a Gallade, especially since we're going with the platinum order. That being said, I can also see her having a heracross! But I'ma focus on Gallade right now.

Hopefully this isn't too intense for the 4th gym leader. If so, know that Heracross is also a suitable 4th pokemon! Lucario will always be her ace though.

Okay, I'll be honest, I wasn't completely sure about Bibarel, given how it's not that strong, but as someone who used one before, I think it's decent enough! I want Quagsire to be Crasher Wakes second strongest pokemon, so I'm boosting it by one level and making Bibarel level 34 instead. Sadly, this means no earthquake for Quagsire still....unless I just make him level 36. I might do that. But this isn't about him, this is about Bibarel. So!

I wasn't entirely sure what to do here, so I just decided to make Bibarel annoying. Rain Dance so Floatzel's swift swim is activated, double team cause double team is annoying. Hyper Fang and Aqua Tail/Waterfall are just damage lol. Nothing too deep here.

Bryon is notorious for being easy if you have earthquake or a reliable ground type move. Just spam that and you're done. So that's where Bronzong comes in. It has levitate, do you can't immediately kill it with earthquake. Plus it can learn trick room, so I get to do trick room shenanigans. I do worry that this might be a tiny bit advanced for a casual player, especially children, so I'm having trick room be an optional move. Also, in order for this to work, Bronzong has to be in the front of the team, so magnezone and steelix are getting a one level up that before. Bastiodon stays the same though.

- Hypnosis/ Trick Room

In another world where I can go ham,I would have Bronzong be a pure setter with reflect and light screen + trick room, with either gyro hall or psychic being it's only attacking moves. But I think this movest is good for a standard pokemon game. Byron is the 6th gym leader, and I want him to actually feel threatening. For granted, I'm sure he is if you don't have a reliable ground ( or fire) type move, but still. Make him scarier >:). Oh and uh. I evolved his Magneton. Unless that thing had an eviolite- which I'm pretty sure didn't even exist in gen 4- just evolve it. You're the 6th gym leader Bryon, like come on.

Candice is next and I'm conflicted. She's the 7th gym leader, and by this point the player is skilled enough to take on fully evolved pokemon. However, I worry about staying too far with the source material, even with the changes being evolving her sneasel and Piloswine. So, here's both teams, for convenience sake. Glaceon is a perfect fit, imo. A new eeveelution introduced in Sinnoh being used by a Sinnoh character? Great! Also like. She has a Glaceon in her rematches sooooo. Yeah.

- Icy Wind

- Shadow Ball

- Return

Literally her rematch movest but with icy wind instead of Blizzard and Return cause Glaceon's gen 4 movepool sucks. But this works fine. Water Pulse especially for all the fire, rock and ground types. Will this help much? Not really, the ice type is not a defensive type. But it makes things better, alongside Abomasnow.

And finally!!! Volkner!!!! Look me in the eye and tell me Volkner wouldn't have a Rotom. Have Rotom appliances. Why? He got bored one day and made it some himself. Anyway. Rotom Wash is really good coverage for a team all weak to ground types. Both because it had levitate and the added water typing that makes it a lot more bulky. If not Rotom Wash then definitely Rotom Heat. It doesn't have the coverage but it's a mix of fire and electric. So ingnitionshipping lol. But let's focus on Rotom Wash for now.

Pretty simple stuff imo. As the last gym leader, I feel like Volkner should be able to do some cheeky stuff like Will-o-Wisp and substitute. If I was allowing items, I would have given Rotom leftovers for longevity. But again, wanna try and keep this friendly n fun for casual players and kids. Hopefully I did well!

Hiiii <3 I love your Kieran stuff! Could I request a terrifyingly powerful Reader (male, female or enby, I don't care) whose a force in battle but a gentle giant outside? Eri-core or Red-core, tbh. I could see then being multi-type specialist for Fairy, Electric and Ice type Pokemon- maybe with someone cutesy or feminine as their partner Pokemon (like Froslass, Bellibolt, Azumarill or Gardevoir?)

Just Kieran really disliking them because he thinks they're narcissistic due to being a force in battle that doesn't really talk to their opponents too often, only to later realize that not they're just gentle. Or not, you can spin it however you like! I just like your writing :3

Hope you don't mind the rambling at the beginning, I'm not into competitive Pokemon stuff at all but creating cool strategies is still super fun!!

Kieran x Terrifyingly Strong Reader

You don't limit yourself to just one type of Pokemon. Tinkaton is your ace, but you also use Cetitan, Galarian Slowking, Ceruledge, Gyarados, and Garchomp.

Cetitan is a bulky monster who gets the ability Slush Rush, which doubles its speed in the snow. Galarian Slowking can set up snow with Chilly Reception, at which point Cetitan sweeps.

Ceruledge is solid for coverage and gets powerful Ghost and Fire moves. Gyarados and Garchomp are my two personal favorites for double battles, since Gyarados gets Intimidate and is immune to Garchomp's Earthquake. Not to mention Garchomp + Rough Skin + Rocky Helmet is a mean combination.

Tinkaton is the definition of scary and cute, her hammer is made of the parts of another Pokemon! With Gigaton Hammer and Protect, she sweeps everything in her path.

But back to the actual headcanons, Kieran is intimidated as HECK by you. You easily sweep his team whenever they battle, and your neutral expression the whole time makes it feel like you're mocking him. He's so frustrated that he can't win.

He thinks you're just some stuck-up strong trainer, to be honest. You don't talk much, and when you do, it doesn't come off as friendly or warm. He starts to hate you, at first.

...But then, he sees you caring for one of your Pokemon after they get hurt. Your Gallade damages one of its blades, so you do your best to patch it up before taking it to the Pokemon Center for immediate care. The whole time, you're humming a soft melody to soothe your Pokemon's pain. Kieran watches in shock-- it's nothing like the stone-cold Y/N he's used to. You.. actually care about your Pokemon? And you're so gentle with them too. He's amazed.

Kieran finds excuses to hang out with you after that. One of his Pokemon gets hurt, and he immediately seeks you out for help. The Elite Four is super confused because they thought Kieran hated you, but now he's suddenly... not?

Kieran finds that his heart flutters when he listens to your voice. He can't describe the feeling, but he just feels at ease around you. He realizes soon enough that he's fallen in love with you.

So on Twitter I talked a little about compiling all my headcanons into a single place, so I made this presentation as a way to condense all my thoughts

I tried to sort most of it chronologically (by game & appearance) but I did lump together the games by trilogy/duology (for those avoiding spoilers). There's also bits of AU lore I came up with (imagining some of the relationships and events of AA but Pokemon in the world), along with team builds and partner headcanons for side characters

Thinking about Pokemon in the Locked Tomb universe and who Harrow and Gideon's partner Pokemon would be. Cubone and Aegislash (Shield Forme), respectively, were the first that came to mind but also:

What if Pokemon were just another thing that the Ninth House didn't really have? At least, not like the other houses do. Palamedes Sextus and his Porygon 2 he's had since it was a data glitch, Coronabeth Tridentarius and her Regirock gifted to her on her 8th birthday (Ianthe got Enamorus).

John Gaius has spent years collecting the most viscerally upsetting Pokemon he can find. Toadscool, Wugtrio, Shedinja, Drowzee, etc. He's also got shiny Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle and all their evolutions because of course he does, the dick.

Anyway what if the Ninth's just crawling with Ghastly, Litwick, Greavard, Sandygast, etc and people are just like "yeah we just don't go to [x] area anymore. fuckin ghosts, what can you do lmao." Alecto's Mewtwo is kept in stasis with her in the Tomb, no one knows where Anastasia's Mew went. Prospective congregants are discouraged from bringing their Pokemon with them bc they're a strain on already-limited resources, and Pluto isn't a great planet for the majority of types anyway.

Then Harrow and Gideon roll up to Canaan House, partnerless, and see all these weirdos surrounded by non-human entities of various sizes. Harrow, rolling with the punches, explains when questioned that Ninth House um... creatures are not very hardy and would likely have perished during the shuttle flight. Tragic, really. (Very Anastasian.)

There have got to be some sick ass ghost types haunting Canaan House, too. As tempting as it would be to say "oh, Harrow and Gideon find their first Pokemon while exploring!" I have to ruin my own fun.

Teacher gives Gideon (and all the other Cavs) a Klefki. Harrow would inexplicably have a Psyduck imprint on her immediately after stepping off the shuttle, and it never leaves her alone.

Also. You probably don't need a deadly neurotoxin if you're trying to kill a bunch of kids on the Ninth. Drifloon's got them.

Swablu hunting was much more eventful then I thought! While I did find a Swablu (her name is Rhythm and she's so cute) I also found a Cyclizar! He's the biggest 'mon I currently have and I'm on my way to pick up a bunch of supplies for him. It seems like I'm going to be able to explore much more with his help, which is amazing

I'm calling him Gearshift and I'm super excited to ride around with him!

Leaks about Dokutaro (aka the Poison Peach) who granted the Loyal Three their deepest wishes (to become stronger/wiser/prettier) by fixing them with the toxic chain...

Kieran vowing to become stronger and rumored to be the Champion in the Blueberry Academy arc...

Codes for 'zombie' in the DLC that haven't aired for the Teal Mask...

What I'm wondering if the player is asked to come to Blueberry Academy to help defeat the 'Champion' because they have taken control of the school and made everyone into 'zombies' with toxic chains - all part of Dokutaro's master plan (which may involve Ogrepon, may involve Terapagos) and you, as the main character, have to fight your way through the school and the 'Elite Four' to get to Kieran and free him from Dokutaro's influence. I also think that perhaps the evolution for Dipplin might go from Grass/Dragon to Poison/Dragon (to keep with the theme of caduceus and healing but the opposite, and also tying in with what happens to Pokemon influenced by Dokutaro - wouldn't be surprised if a new poison-move boosting item is introduced as well).

I know there's theories that the professor wearing a scarlet blazer and violet pants might be the villain (and she might still be involved, maybe she releases Dokutaro and introduces Kieran to it in a bid to get Terapagos) but thinking about how the first half of the DLC is more exploration and the latter half is battling makes me think about the Team Star battle mechanics but also how to raise the stakes and what makes sense story and lore wise given everything that's being set up.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong. This is just speculation after all...
