The "Province" series is a documentation of the contemporary image of space around villages and small towns. These are places far from large cities, often away from frequented transit routes and expressways. The province is the area on the margin, on the side, everything that fills the space between large centers. Ordinary and normal. I have been observing the Polish province for two and a half years. The space I photograph never ceases to amaze me. Changes are introduced to make it better, simpler but also nicer. Temporary solutions often grow into subsequent layers and become the background for subsequent changes. It is a space that is recycled many times. There are layers of paint on the buildings, changes in owners, and for me it's also another decade of history. You can clearly see fashions and styles that arrive in the provinces with a delay. Sometimes I find myself in places I not believing I haven't traveled back in time. My project is also a journey through a map full of absurdity and ugliness. At the same time, it is a sentimental story about a world that is disappearing. There are almost no people in my photos. The space itself says enough about its inhabitants and users.
