i recently set up windows on my computer for the first time in like years and i need everyone to know about "winget" it's a commandline tool made by microsoft to download and install programs, kinda similar to a package manager like apt.
You can export a list of all the programs you have installed (which work with winget) and then reimport that list on another computer
an example command would be:
winget install VLC
and it may tell you that thers multiple packages with the same name

but just pick the one that isnt the microsoft store and that instead

You can also run `winget update --all` to upgrade everything that can be upgraded through winget. sometimes you may have to reinstall programs with winget because it doesnt detect it that well.
you also often have to manually confirm to run things as administrator, however you can just run the command prompt or powershell in administrator mode as well.
It's part of the "App Installer" windows app which you can unfortunately only get from the microsoft store (or maybe from the repository?), but it should be part of all the shit that you already had installed when you installed windows for the first time. try it out and learn more abt it here
