For, Since, and Ago

We use for and since to say HOW LONG We use ago as a time word to say WHEN   We use for with words referring to a period of time. Examples:  for three days, For an hour,  For three weeks, For ten days, For a long time,  For a month.   I have been waiting for two hours. He has lived in London for a long time.   We use since with words referring to the start of the period. Examples: Since Monday, Since 9 o’clock, Since 24 July, Since Christmas, Since January, Since 2011 Since we left, Since he was ten years old.   She has been here since morning (from morning to now.) John has lived in London since he was 10 years old. I have been waiting here since ten o’clock (from ten o’clock to now.)    We also use ago - a time word with the meaning  “in the past” refers to a specific length of time.  Examples: Two minutes ago, Five years ago. Three days ago, A (one) year ago. Ten hours ago.   He left his office ten minutes ago. I came to this town one week ago.  

Compare ago, for, and since:

When did Mary arrive in London? She arrived in London three weeks ago.   How long has Mary lived here? She has lived here for two years.   How long has Mary been in London? She has been in London since 2022 (from 2022 to now).  

Sentences:

How long have you known him? I have known him since 2021 (from 2021 to now). I have known him for three years.   Where does she live? How long has she lived there? She lives in Paris. She has lived there since she got married. She has lived here for five years.   When did you last go to the cinema? I went four weeks ago.   Who plays the piano? How long has he started playing the piano? David plays the piano. He has started since he was seven years old.   Who is here? When did she come? How long has she been here? Laura is here.  She came three days ago. She has been here since Monday (from Monday to now).   Who is married? How long have they been married?  When did they get married? Lynn and Mark are married. 1. Thì Hiện Tại Hoàn Thành: Khái Niệm và Ý Nghĩa

Thì hiện tại hoàn thành trong tiếng Anh là một trong những thì quan trọng nhất, diễn đạt về các hành động hoặc sự kiện bắt đầu từ quá khứ và kéo dài đến hiện tại, hoặc để chỉ ra các hành động trong quá khứ có ảnh hưởng đến tình trạng hiện tại. Bài viết này sẽ phân tích chi tiết về cách sử dụng và cấu trúc của thì hiện tại hoàn thành.

2. Cấu Trúc và Cách Sử Dụng Thì Hiện Tại Hoàn Thành

Cấu Trúc:

Thể Khẳng Định: S + have/has + V3/_ed + O Thể Phủ Định: S + have/has + not + V3/_ed + O Thể Nghi Vấn: Have/has + S + (not) + V3/_ed + O? Trong đó:

"Have" được sử dụng với I/you/we/they. "Has" được sử dụng với he/she/it hoặc bất kỳ danh từ nào là số ít.

3. Cách Sử Dụng:

Diễn đạt về hành động vừa mới xảy ra.

Miêu tả các hành động bắt đầu trong quá khứ và kéo dài đến hiện tại.

Thể hiện kinh nghiệm hoặc trải nghiệm tích lũy cho đến thời điểm hiện tại.

Diễn đạt trạng thái hiện tại là kết quả của một hành động trong quá khứ.

Đề cập đến các hành động đã xảy ra nhiều lần trong quá khứ. Sử dụng khi thời điểm xảy ra sự việc không quan trọng hoặc không rõ ràng.

4. Dấu Hiệu Nhận Biết Thì Hiện Tại Hoàn Thành

Để nhận biết thì hiện tại hoàn thành, chúng ta có thể dựa vào các từ như "for", "since", "just", "already", "never", "ever", "yet", "recently", và "up to now", cùng với vị trí của chúng trong câu.

5. Cách Chia Động Từ và Các Trường Hợp Đặc Biệt

Cách Chia Động Từ:

Động từ kết thúc bằng "e": thêm "d". Động từ một âm tiết kết thúc bằng phụ âm: nhân đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm "ed". Động từ có hai âm tiết, trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ hai: nhân đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm "ed". Động từ kết thúc bằng "y": Nếu trước "y" là nguyên âm, thêm "ed"; nếu trước "y" là phụ âm, đổi "y" thành "i" rồi thêm "ed". Động từ bất quy tắc: Be - was/ were - been; Begin - began - begun; Break - broke - broken. Các Trường Hợp Đặc Biệt:

Sử dụng "have" để diễn đạt ý nghĩa của "đã có, đã từng". Động từ "be" trong thì hiện tại hoàn thành diễn đạt về trạng thái kéo dài từ quá khứ đến hiện tại. Thì hiện tại hoàn thành thường đi kèm với các từ chỉ số lần để nhấn mạnh số lần hành động đã xảy ra.

6. Câu Bị Động Trong Thì Hiện Tại Hoàn Thành

Câu bị động trong thì hiện tại hoàn thành có cấu trúc như sau:

Thể Khẳng Định: S + have/has + been + V3/_ed + (by O) Thể Phủ Định: S + have/has + not + been + V3/_ed + (by O) Thể Nghi Vấn: Have/has + S + been + V3/_ed + (by O)? Wh- + have/has + S + been + V3/_ed + (by O)?

7. Ứng Dụng Trong Bài Thi IELTS

Thì hiện tại hoàn thành là một phần quan trọng trong cả bài thi IELTS Writing và Speaking. Trong Writing Task 1, nó được sử dụng để mô tả các xu hướng từ quá khứ đến hiện tại. Trong Speaking, nó được dùng để diễn đạt về trải nghiệm cá nhân hoặc các sự kiện ảnh hưởng đến hiện tại.

Synopsis :  Present Perfect (Prequel):  Suite a une rupture douloureuse, Toey, un jeune photographe thaïlandais, décide de partie au Japon dans les montagnes de Higashikawa afin d'essayer d'oublier sa petite amie.

Sur place il fait la connaissance de  Oat, un compatriote qui est lui aussi en vacances, il voyage seul et lui avoue qu'il est en couple et sur le point de se marier, Oat fait ce voyage pour profiter de ces derniers jours de célibat.

Après une soirée trop arrosée, ils passent la nuit ensemble, et finissent par se liés jusqu'au moment ou Oat lui révèle l'entière vérité sur sa vie de couple. 

Synopsis :  Present Still Perfect (suite): Après que Toey est revu Oat a l'aéroport avant son départ pour Koh Kodo, alors que ca faisait 4 ans qu'ils ne s'étaient pas revus suite a leur voyage au Japon. Tous les souvenirs de leur idylle japonaise refont surface. 

Oui mais voila... Oat s'est marié et il est le papa d'un garçon de 4 ans.

Alors que Toey avait fini par enterrer ses sentiments pour Oat. Voila que ce dernier remet tout en question quand après une journée et un message envoyé par erreur par Toey. Oat se retrouve devant l'hôtel pour séjourne Toey.
