Note: These are all my personal observations and patterns I've noticed over the years. Take what resonates with you more and leave the rest. Lemme know in the comments if it hits home!

Sun - Mercury conjunction natives speak boldly and hold their head high. They are well-mannered and won't tolerate anyone disrespectfully treating them. Can get support from father or uncle. Will be close to their sibling if they have any. A tight conjunction can point to identical twin siblings in some cases. Can become famous for their personality.

Moon - Mercury conjunction natives are flirty and know how to seduce their partner. These natives are conventionally pretty. If they have a sibling, they might not get along well with them or may have conflicts in their relationship. Can be good at science or fond of knowing about the universe. Some with this placement can become a scientific researcher. They can understand complex formulas or could be in search of finding the truth about aliens, the paranormal, death, or what lies beyond this 3D plane. Sometimes, they can get obsessed with certain thoughts and can be seen as weirdo. They can be hilarious to talk to. In some cases, it can point to neurological issues or mental health issues if afflicted.

Saturn-Mercury conjunction natives are reserved and can have a dry or dark humor sense. They are good at standing up for others rather than standing up for themselves. Can face a lot of maltreatment or discrimination at work or in society but would win over them later in life. Can become a motivational speaker or can write an autobiography. Can have conflicts with their father or male authorities.

North node - Mercury conjunction natives can speak to the dead or can sense things beyond our realm. Can experience psychic visions or have the ability to predict their future. Lucid dreamers. Good placement to pursue a career in astrology, tarot, UFO researcher, paranormal investigator, crime investigator, detective, researcher, etc. Good at following a path that the majority won't. Libra Sun & Aquarius Sun

Leo Risings often grow up in chaotic households and struggles with feeling misunderstood by others. They never feel appreciated for who they are, and what they do.

8th House and 12th House Placements

Traditionally ruled by Scorpio, the 8th House is associated with death, taxes, rebirth, karma, and transformation. It can be a very dark and intense house. People with 8th house placements experience transformations in their lives back to back. They can carry this deep, intense presence with them whenever they go.

The 12th house is traditionally ruled by Pisces. Secrets, hidden enemies, intuition, isolation, and spirituality are prominent themes for the 12th House. 🩷Admittedly, in my years of practicing astrology I've not placed much importance on aspects beyond glaringly obvious ones. I've often felt that aspects can become a very technical way to explain energies that may be better understood through looking at the rest of the chart from a bigger picture perspective.

Yes, looking at squares, sextiles, etc. can provide insight but to me personally it can sometimes feel like getting 'lost' in the details, especially when it is unclear what counts as an aspect and what doesn't. Sort of similar to when people start looking to the endless, ever expanding range of astroids (eros, valentine, aphrodite, cupido, vesta, etc.) to intuit someone's approach in love, when realistically Venus & Mars alone can provide incredible, personal insight.

However, all of that being said, aspects are still a very valuable tool to use when analysing a chart, and understanding how to come to a consensus about defining what 'counts' as an aspect can be benefical.

A lot of people only consider aspects to be significant if the orb is verry tight (for some the cut off is as small as 3°), and this is a reasonable approach, as otherwise there would be way too many aspects to interpret and the major themes highlighted in any given chart would get a little lost. Though, I just want to shed light on a pattern I've seen in my research/observations-

In my experience (and traditionally), aspects, particularly conjunctions should be given an orb range relative to how fast moving the planet/astrological point is. *I want to note that this isn't by any means a new idea, but I just don't see it being talked about much.

This means that the Moon & ascendant especially, being very fast moving, can find themselves affected to a much greater extent by surrounding/aspecting planets even if they are somewhat far away. It's already known that the luminaries are to be given a wider orb range, but I've seen conjunctions especially have an even wider range of influence on a chart's Moon or ascendant than what is typically thought.

The way fast moving planets demonstrate stronger sensitivity to aspects can be understood if you think of how a child is going to be profoundly influenced by the teachings and energies of the adults around them, since they haven't lived very long yet and have little other experience to go off.

In contrast, someone who is very old has been around for a long time and has seen many things (planets) come and go while they stay the same, so these influences really don't phase them. Saturn is barely going to be affected by the Moon even if there is a 0° conjunction, but the always 'new', ever changing, fluctuating, watery nature of the Moon can feel Saturn's influence very intensely even if it's fairly far away.

I don't think it'd be particularly helpful/ideal to refer to every planet remotely close to the Moon (or ascendant) as a conjunction (especially considering how different Nakshatras bring very different energies to the table), but that doesn't mean the influence should be entirely discounted. Moon & asc in particular call for a more open minded, flexible approach when it comes to reading surrounding energies. My understanding of people through astrology has really expanded by being more aware of how sensitive vs un-phased the planets themselves are and adjusting my interpretations accordingly.

As mentioned earlier this definitely isn't a new idea or anything, but I do think that it's a good/interesting reminder to observe natal charts as if the planets in it are sentient (as they are) and have different ways of responding to the rest of the chart. I've seen people go 'my Moon is 16° away from Jupiter so it doesn't count as a conjunction' and then go on to completely disregard Jupiter's influence on the Moon when in reality, there's no real cut off point of influence. Yes, it may not technically be a conjunction, but the influence is still there.

Our charts are like an ecosystem, full of life & completely interconnected. All of the energies are fluid, constantly interacting, alive. There's no real numerical point where suddenly there is 0 effect, but we assign numerical points to loosely create a necessary distinction between energies & highlight the aspects which are especially strong,

To give an example of what I'm getting at, if you have the Moon at 2° Libra, and Venus is at say, 28° Libra; this is a 26° orb.. technically, wayy too large to be considered a conjunction, but I believe that completely discounting the way Venus' presence may influence the mind & heart of this person would be a mistake. Yes, it will definitely not be as strong as a conjunction with an extremely close orb, but it's still close enough to be felt by the Moon, being a very energetically porous, receptive, psychic planet.

I may have to go back and edit this later, I'm very tired and I'm not sure if I'm communicating the concept as best as possible, but for now, thankyou for reading & I hope this provides valuable insight/a new perspective for someone 🩷

a conjunction is when 2 planets occupy the same sign and are within ~5 degrees of one another. it holds a pretty neutral energy - but whether it sways to a more chaotic neutral or good neutral, largely depends on the planets, sign, and house they occupy.

here, the planetary energies blend together, making what is essentially one entity. again, depending on the other dynamics at play, this energy can feel complimentary or completely disjointed.

throwback to the time I actually went bonkers and wrote an entire paragraph on conjunctions (I think they're classified as conjunctions 💀) in the song Famous Last Words by American rock band My Chemical Romance

The lyrics "awake and unafraid/asleep or dead" are incredibly significant in the song, and are repeated four times in quick succession after the lyrics “Cause I see you lying next to me/with words I thought I’d never speak”. These lyrics are a direct contrast to each other, with 'awake' and 'asleep' directly juxtaposing each other, and the usage of inclusive and exclusive conjunctions. 'And' is an inclusive conjunction, and due to the nouns surrounding it, has a positive connotation. He is awake, and not afraid of what is coming next. Conversely, 'or' is an exclusive conjunction, as it gives a choice between two (or more) options. The words 'asleep' and 'dead' also tend to have negative connotations. In this case, the words also refer to the uncertainty of not knowing whether the patient is asleep or if he has died. It also links in with him not knowing if he will go to sleep like normal and wake up in the morning, or if he will die in the night.

People with Mercury - North node conjunction in the birth chart are smart, shrewd, and are expert at making others agree with their point. If Mercury is Rx, it still applies to the above point, but the natives themselves don't realize their potential. Retrograde or not, these natives can sell water to a fish. Their rich imagination can make them a good writer or become famous overnight. They might be into the paranormal or in some cases, can talk to the dead. Some can get the ability to predict their future through their dreams and psychic visions. Messing with these natives can become a nightmare as they can be quite vengeful and would hit back at people who hurt them years ago. These natives quietly plan and wait for the right moment, and the other person won't have a clue. Can speak more than one language. Can marry someone who speaks a different language from them. In some cases, it can lead to thyroid issues, mild dental issues, sinusitis, etc.

People with a Sun-North node conjunction can have ego clashes with their father. Father might be a political person or an extremist of some form. In some cases, points to a father who is racist/ homophobic or something of that nature. In some cases, it can indicate a stepfather/ adopted father. Can develop su*cidal thoughts or might elope with their loved one. Can be short-tempered but is a quick thinker. They know how to protect themselves in a difficult scenario and come out unscathed. If settled in foreign lands, one can achieve fame pretty soon, for good or bad reasons. Can marry a foreigner as well. Can be a show-off in some cases.

People with Moon-North node conjunction are confused AF and indecisiveness is their default state of mind. Carry their secrets to the grave. These natives are curious about knowing others' secrets and would expose them at the right time or use them to gain the advantage over enemies and such. prone to abdominal-related issues or hard-to-diagnose diseases. The mother of these natives might gossip a lot behind others' backs. Can experience nightmares or sleep paralysis more than others. Can dream of drowning, being in a tornado, dreaming of snakes, etc. These natives are so sensitive that people with bad energy can drain them completely. Just being around certain people can make these natives anxious or sweat nervously. In some cases, it can lead to mental health issues like autism, PTSD, BPD, schizophrenia or be mentally challenged.

Good placement for pursuing a career in the army, police officer, judge, lawyer, etc. These natives, in some cases, might experience sudden negative events in their lives out of the blue, like accidents, getting arrested, getting shot, financial loss, etc. If these natives have a younger sibling, they may have gotten into an accident or in rare cases, the death of a sibling, depending on other factors in the chart.

People with a Jupiter-North node conjunction can be money-minded and can have strong political opinions. Follows world politics, can criticize one's government. These natives are diplomats and have a good grasp of knowledge on worldly things. Good placement for joining politics or pursuing a career/ study abroad. Can work two jobs or have more than one source of income. These natives might reject their own religion and may be agnostic/ atheist/ pantheist. In some cases, can become an alcoholic or a drug addict. They seek variety in both food and in partnerships/relationships. In some cases, they might cheat on their partner or get cheated on or marry more than once.

People with a Saturn-North node conjunction can experience back pain and mental stress or depression at a young age. These natives would love photography and love the beauty of nature. They could be buying cool gadgets and are good with computers. These natives like to learn and stay updated on technology-related inventions. Good placement for STEM careers, orthopedist, ophthalmologist, physicist, etc. In some cases, it can indicate a physical disability or the need for a caretaker to look after them.

Fixed Star Aldebaran

(al·deh·br·uhn)

The fourteenth brightest star in the night sky, meaning "follower" in Arabic due to its perceived following of the Pleiades star cluster. A pale rose color, it is the southern left eye and brightest star of the Taurus constellation.

As a Royal Star of Persia around 3,000 years ago, it was known as the "Watcher of the East" and was used to mark one of four of the cardinal directions, the other royal stars being western Anteres, northern Regulus, and southern Fomalhaut. It was also used to mark the spring equinox, but that has changed due to precession of the equinoxes. A fixed star appears to move about 1 degree every 72 years.

It also serves as one of fifteen of the Behenian Fixed Stars, being considered as especially useful in magical applications of medieval astrology of Europe and Arab origins. The following are its associations: Planets Mars & Venus, gemstone ruby/garnet, and the plant milk thistle. Its image is the likeness of god or a flying man.

For a fixed star like Aldebaran to have influence in a natal chart, there must be a tight conjunction of less than a 2° of orb, even better of it is less than 30' of orb with planets or angles.

According to Ptolemy, the star is Mars-natured and brings about courage, firmness, integrity, and strength. Wealth and honours may be favored, but Aldebaran has the tendency to withdraw what it offers due to lacking durability. There are also ties to danger, illness, sedition, and violence.

Fun Facts: Aldebaran rules three inches above the breast, consistently is associated with rain, and is a symbol of Archangel Micheal. In addition, the alchemic element Ytterbium[70], previously named Aldebaranium, is the fourteenth of the lanthanide series and found in phosphate minerals.
