the american public school system sucks ass. i had to be in an hour and a half long meeting consisting of the director of special education for my district trying to get it taken off my iep that they provide me large print printoffs, my case manager blaming and belittling me for them not following my iep on me, and the “vision specialist” trying to get me to not have notes provided even though i cant take notes and focus on a lecture at the same time???? and my last year case manager took off having tests read aloud to me off my iep without my knowledge and consent which isnt the first thing that was taken off without my consent. they went from speaking about how good at self advocacy i am to blaming their failures on me not advocating for myself. absolute insanity.

Intriguing

Y/N was just a housekeeper. Often overlooked by the wealthy patrons of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. It wasn’t hard for them. After all she was just “the help”, to be used or chastised, but never actually treated like a person.

The worst of the abuse had come from the Lannisters, the family that actually owned the hotel. They lived on the top floor and were her employers. The socialite, the “Queen” of high society for NYC, Cersi was the worst of them all. Often she would be ridiculed or harassed for mistakes that others make, receiving a sharp slap if she dared to stand up for herself.

But she couldn't quit. HR would never believe her, the Lannisters were untouchable. And unfortunately they paid just enough to make her grit her teeth and bear it.

Until the day that he checked into the hotel.

The entire staff was abuze over the arrival of Oberyn Martell. The flashy playboy wildchild of the largest rivals of the Lannisters. His staying at their hotel was a pure power play. A way to get under their skin. Martell International was engaged in negotiations to buy one of the Lannister properties, the Seven Kingdom’s Resort in Barbados.

Everyone knew there was bad blood between the families. A nasty history that was whispered about behind hands. A scandal about Oberyn’s sister being killed at a wild party that was thrown by the Lannisters at the exact resort that Oberyn was there to purchase.

The penthouse was supposed to be empty. At least that was what the printoff said. So Y/N had used her keycard and entered the suite.

Champagne bottles and glasses littered every available surface of the suite. Room service had set up a veritable feast on a sideboard, picked halfway clean by those that had partied in the room.

Y/N huffed. She had been given an hour to clean the suite. It would take four or five other people to clean the mess made by spoiled rich brats. But of course they were short staffed today, Cersi had demanded that her little brunch she was throwing for her bitch friends be completely covered. A servant for every single person in attendance. For all forty of those “friends”.

Charlie, the housekeeping manager, had almost cried when the hotel general manager had shuffled 20 of their maids to be pressed into service for the party. He had tearfully begged Y/N to take the executive suites, knowing that she could handle most situations efficiently by herself. So here she was, hands on her hips as she stares at the disaster in front of her.

Y/N growls in annoyance as she wheels the cart further into the suite and gets out the bathroom cleaning tray. It was always easiest to start in the bathrooms and work her way out. She doesn’t knock, there’s not supposed to be anyone where. So when she pushes open the door to the master suite, she gasps in shock.

There are...bodies everywhere. Men, women all naked and intertwined on the massive bed. All of them asleep, save for one.

He’s devilishly attractive. Closer cropped chestnut hair, silver threaded throughout the slightly curly locks. A thin strip of hair lines his jaw, bringing attention to the sharp lines of his face. The aquiline nose sets very nicely with the wide brow and intrigued eyes.

He unfolds his body easily from the rest and stands, unashamed of his nudity. Y/N flushed hotly as the lean and golden skin hypnotized her as he smirked.

“Oh! Mr. Martell, please forgive me. I was told that the suite was cleared for cleaning.” Y/N stammered as her gaze darted to the floor.

Oberyn chuckled as he reached for the bright yellow silk robe that was draped carelessly over one of the suite's many overstuffed chairs. He shrugged it on and tied it loosely as he picked up a silver cigarette case that was adorned with an intriguing symbol. A sun with a spear. The same symbol that adorned all of the Martell International holdings.

“My dear, I did not realize the Lannisters would be so brazen in their attempt to sway me.” His eyes flickered over her briefly as he took out a cigarette and put it to his lips. The light flared to life as he lit the smoke and took a deep breath, inhaling the smoke.

“But I must say, they know exactly how to tempt me.” He comments as he blows the smoke out, smirking at the NO SMOKING sign that was right by his head before turning back to her.

She didn’t understand why he wasn’t yelling, cursing her for interrupting his interludes and sending her away. Threatening to have her fired, something that she heard at least three times a day.

Instead, Oberyn walked closer to her. Only it was more like sauntered, or stalked. Either way, she knew that a predator had her in his sights. His eyes were alight with mischief as he reached out and lightly trailed a finger down her arm.

“Feel free to join us. You look like you hate the Lannisters as much as I do. ” He quipped. “You will do just nicely.”

Y/N couldn’t deny that Oberyn Martell was intriguing. A shiver ran through her body at the wicked delight that was promised in his chocolate eyes.

A few hobbies I have are crafting and cooking. I have been taking random photos of my food lately for accountability and trying new recipes and its been really fun! I made a HUGE mealplan binder with printoffs and stuff and got a cute book and it makes the chore of meals less of a chore more fun! A hobby I want to pick up again would be kayaking. Its been a few years and my mom wants to go this summer and I am really looking forward to it.

Gift giving. I love giving gifts to people and making things for them or picking it out. Like currently working on my dads fathers day present. Its a nifty gamer and nerd gift basket full of snacks, word puzzles, and other things ! I like putting time into things.

I have not worn makeup casually since a friends wedding in 2019. I cannot stand anything on my skin, sometimes even lotion bothers me! I do love seeing others in it however!

Week one of NaNoWriMo: I wake up early every morning to write, I'm ahead of the word count by at least 500 words, the plots comes easily to me.

Week two of NaNoWriMo: I'm still meeting the word count every day, but it's late afternoon by the time I finish. The plot is steady but I pause every few minutes to think of what's going to happen next.

Week three of NaNoWriMo: I have to physically strain for more plot ideas. I don't really know what's happening and neither do my characters.

Week four of NaNoWriMo: Everything's on fire. I black out as I type pages of nonsense late into the night, the last bit of my soul leaving my body as I update my word count, trading my innocence for a .jpeg 'congratulations' printoff I consume straight out of the printer, stuffing the warm paper into my face.

April 1: Week 10- No more joking around.

So I haven’t been on for about 2 week, I’d posted week 8 and then went afk for a little while but it appears to have disappeared... don’t know what happened there. Can’t do much about it now sadly, so a post break explanation might have to do.

I’d originally said that I was going to take a week off (so I should have came back last week) but I ended up getting really sick with a throat infection, and then a cold but because my immune system is already low with everything else that’s going on it’s taken longer to get over it (still not really over the cold though). But I still managed to get some things done while I was away so I’m excited about that.

I have reorganized some of my study apps, but I want to do a separate post about that because I have a fair bit to say on that specific topic so I might do that in the next few days. I also managed to find a decently sturdy lever arch file which has my Go! Billy Korean and HowtostudyKorean pdf’s at the moment, but it needs some dividers to help distinguish the two. I’m not sure what exactly it’s called but I also found in my collection of old school supplies its like a piece of plastic that acts like a cover that has a plastic spine that slides on and off to hold the pdf printoff for the beginner IYAGI series and maybe also the TTMIK dictation test pdf if there’s enough space.

Since we had the TTMIK spring sale recently I also went a little bit mad, since I don’t get chocolate at Easter I decided to get textbooks because why not so I bought “My First 500 Korean Words” and “Real-Life Korean Conversations for Beginners” while also getting the free link to the dictation test pdf. And I found out my family had a similar idea so I had the IYAGI and “My Weekly Korean Vocabulary” books gifted to me which was super kind and really exciting because they look like gorgeous books even if maybe a little higher level than I am right now but only 10 lessons shy so I think I can wait ^_^

So I haven’t done anything in Level 2 for a while, I have done some proper revision in Level 1 especially since I’d forgotten how to conjugate tenses which needed to be sorted before progressing but I figured doing some general revision for the whole level wouldn’t hurt just in case. I also decided to revamp A-tracker to solely be for Korean to see if that would help with how I spend my time studying since I’d stopped using the other categories I’d had on the app due to various reasons so I have it broken down into:

I wanted to split the TTMIK ones just because I’m curious to see the difference in time split between the two. I’m still trying to work out exactly what I want in a study plan so I think it’ll be a good way to get some information.
