Do it All
Synopsis: You are a Formula 1 driver trying to graduate from college. It’s hard to do it all, but the grid helps you do some of it
young female mercedes driver reader x 2033 F1 grid
(george is at williams with alex, logan is the reserve)
Education has always been something important to you. Your parents raised you to be a good student and that’s what you turned out to be. You were always one of the “smart kids” and didn’t mind going to school day after day, year after year. People usually get confused when you tell them this because you don’t meet many scholarly Formula 1 drivers, but here you are.
Your life was always split between racing and school; You remember doing homework sheets at karting tracks, writing essays between media duties in F2, and rushing through assigned readings in airports. It was stressful, but the work for each always paid off.
You’ve made your way through the Mercedes Junior Program, Formula 3, Formula 2, and was recruited in 2022 by Toto Wolff to race in Formula 1. You were 18 at the time, but too good an opportunity to pass up, so he offered you a three-year racing contract at Mercedes, starting in the 2023 season. You were over-the-moon excited about the opportunity, but it didn’t stop you from wondering about college.
You knew it wasn’t necessary, very few drivers went to university, but that didn’t stop you from wanting to attend. College had been in your vision for ages, you couldn’t just not go. The real problem was that Toto had approached you in August to race for Mercedes, and you had already gotten into your first-choice school and was days away from traveling there to set up your dorm.
You thought about your options. There was no way you could turn down Toto’s offer to join his F1 team, but there was also no way you go away to college and drive for Mercedes. One of your passions had to be pushed aside, and it wasn’t going to be racing.
So instead of traveling to your chosen college to settle into your dorm, you were traveling there to have various meetings about your future at that school.
After talking with the head of the university and a few professors, you compromised with the idea of online education. You would use online textbooks and the resources your professors posted onto the class’s website to complete all your assignments and participate in the lessons. You would be held to all the same expectations as the other students and would get your degree and diploma at the end of all of it, just not traditionally.
You agree that your schedule will be asynchronous (completely independent, you’ll make up your own schedule and do the work on your own time) to match your incoming lifestyle and discuss some other minor details. You leave what would’ve been your campus saddened and already a bit stressed, but nonetheless prepared.
You spent the rest of 2022 getting used to online school again and training on the sim to prepare for the day you leave for England. Because the Mercedes headquarters was in the UK, you were renting an apartment to call “home base” there with one of your friends that was attending a university in England.
You probably should’ve been more nervous on your first day at the office, but you weren’t. You’ve been in the junior program since you were 13, you’ve met Toto multiple times, and Lewis had been named your mentor long ago. Whenever you two were in the same country, he always made an effort to watch your races and help you improve in whatever ways he could.
You also were familiar with a couple of the drivers on the grid already. Despite the age gap, you had raced alongside Lando, George, Alex for years and had encountered Charles, Pierre, and Esteban a few times as well. You were in F2 with Oscar and Logan for a bit and formed a quick friendship with both of them. Because of these connections, by the Spanish Grand Prix, you were quite friendly with almost all 19 drivers.
And by the Spanish Grand Prix, almost all 19 drivers also knew that you were completely stressed about your schoolwork. They all knew you were a college student and had a lot of respect for you for it, especially during exam season. Even though you were majoring in mechanical engineering and were around cars almost every day, you were overwhelmed with anxiety.
It was impossible to ignore; if you walked into the Mercedes hospitality or garage, it wouldn’t be uncommon to see you sitting at a table, on a couch, or sitting in an empty hallway with your laptop in front of you and your focus captured. Your state of mind didn’t majorly affect your racing, you made sure of it, but it did affect your personality, and because they were your friends, the drivers decided to help you as much as possible.
Because Lewis is around you the most, he makes sure you’re taking proper care of yourself. When he finds you studying in your driver’s room or working in the hospitalty in between duties, he makes sure you’ve eaten and have a water bottle by your side. If you haven’t, he’ll run to buy your favorite snack and beverage for you and drop them off with a few words of encouragement.
Lando, George, and Alex make sure you don’t drown yourself with work. If everyone’s at home and they’re aware you’ve been working for a few hours, they’ll text you asking to join them in a video game as a stress reliever. They keep you occupied for a few hours and fill the time with updates about their own lives and their own friendly banter.
They worry about you when they have breaks from racing and don’t hear from you for days at a time, then return with tired eyes and a quiet persona. Sometimes they’ll facetime you and don’t hang up for hours to make sure you cook yourself a fresh meal and fall asleep at a decent time.
Oscar and Logan are the most common visitors to your driver’s room and hotel rooms, and they make sure you actually see the countries you travel to. They’ve showed up to your hotel room randomly a few times and just told you to hurry up and get ready.
These visits always end up with the three of you in a cool, new place where you’re free to talk as much as you want and laugh as loudly as you’d like. They don’t live in the UK with you but the three of you are together so often you barely even notice.
Charles, Pierre, and Esteban make sure you enjoy everything you’re doing. They know how stressful being a young rookie can be, and they can only imagine what you’re going through as a university student, and the three of them don’t want your young adult years to be filled with just work and stress.
They try to help you study; Charles quizzes you on different subjects, if you chose French as your language, Esteban would give you answers, and if you need a distraction, Pierre is by your side trying to make you laugh.
You’re a little more laid-back when you finally submit your exams, but you don’t completely relax until you know your scores. You get good marks on all of your tests and are relieved when you discover all your hard work has pulled off.
Lewis is the first person you tell, and he matches your excitement completely. When you burst into his driver’s room and tell him your results, he brings you into a hug and leaves a kiss on the top of your head. “I knew you could do it, Y/n, I’m so proud of you” Lewis is one of the few Formula 1 drivers that did attend college so he knows first-hand how difficult it can be.
George, Alex, and Lando are almost as relieved as you are when you tell them your grades. The three of them are glad to have their friend back and hope the year until your next final exams comes slowly.
Oscar and Logan take you out to celebrate the night you tell them. You guys walk around town with ice cream as a reward and go to an amusement park with the bright idea for you to “scream out your frustrations from the last few weeks” Surprisingly, it works and by the end of the night, you feel lighter than you have all semester.
The bottom-line is, the drivers care about you and can’t wait to see your smile again after every exam season.
a short little student reader fic because I love the concept, I’m just not too sure how to write it
hope you love it tho 🫶

i've been receiving a few replies on the topic so i'll make a post about it again. i've jumped back into dq10! yes, the japan-only mmo! yes, you can play it too!
there's a free trial with the base game and the first expansion (version 1 and 2) albeit with some restrictions like a level limit, not being able to use the nearby chat (there are a few quests this makes uncompletable but it's not a big deal), and not being able to use the traveller's bazaar to buy and sell with other players.
i'm not affiliated with anyone who makes any tools or guides and don't know them. it's a little outdated but there's a bunch of information over at https://dqxabbey.com/ that's take you through making a japanese square enix account, activating the free trial, and installing the game. then using a translated version of the launcher and config program and installing dqx clarity which replaces story text and certain terms like monster names with fan translated versions, and runs the rest of the text through a machine translation and injects it into the game. if you really like it, they also have guides for buying the game, buying a subscription, and buying from the dq10 shop. i own the game myself now and can help answer questions about that.
bear in mind: the game kicks you out if you try to connect from outside japan. several years ago they started allowing connections from the us (maybe all of north america? idk) since western fans were finding ways to play anyway. however, i live in the uk so i still get kicked so i have to use a vpn. dqx abbey mentions proton vpn which has a free version so i use that sometimes. proton vpn used to let you at least choose from the free servers. it now auto-assigns one, you can still click 'change server' a few times until you get one in japan or the us but it will time you out if you do it too many times. you may have to sort out another vpn for yourself.
now go! i'll see you in astoltia!
ps if you really don't think you'll ever play it, or don't care so much for spoilers and want to know what the hell the game's about. i recommend watching the videos on it by battle geek plus

Book bannings and schools mishandling books rant:
Book bannings, particulary school book bannings are weird and arbitrary and that's how they look to kids too.
I went to a number of different schools in Nassau County Long Island as a child. One school banned Goosebumps books as "too scary." And the teacher didn't consider them "Real reading" anyway.
That same school had banned Where's Waldo? (Wally to you UK readers). And "I spy" / "Eye Spy" books (where you search for the objects in cluttered picture, similar to Where's Waldo. They claimed it wasn't really reading.
Well, here's something the "clever" people running that school didn't realize. I'm visually impaired. Optic nerve damage since birth. And "Eye Spy" books were a good form of exercise in helping me focus my eyes. I can't control my own eye movements and those books helped a little but SOMEONE deemed them "not educational."
And my family was pretty poor. And didn't have a car. Trips to the public library weren't as often as I liked and my mother had a bit habit of not returning things to the library so that was also a factor on if we could take anything out.
In another school I went to comic books and graphic novels (Novels in comic book format) were not allowed. I strongly suspect there were parents who thought "graphic" meant sexual content as that's what I came across when asking people who were pro-banning Maus (the graphic novel about a mouse in the holocaust). The English teacher claimed comics are "not really reading." One kid made a great argument about how Shakespeare and classic literature has been adapted in graphic novel form but she argued that it is like a very abridged version since they put pictures instead of written descriptions. I had the impression she hadn't physically seen these graphic novels but assumed.
When I entered Junior High school the school library had a great book on Hebrew folklore that I liked and another book about beliefs in the occult. I tried to take them out and got a lecture from the librarian that those are "reference books only" and cannot be borrowed from the library. umm... Why? And what's the point of a Junior high school "reference only" book? How often do Junior High school kids get to sit down in the library for long stretches at a time.
In seventh grade a teacher from BOCES assessed my reading level. (I was skipped around a lot so I was only eleven). She determined that I had a third or fourth grade reading level at the time. I said "Well, that can improve, right?" (because I loved to read). She replied with "Usually at this age your reading level becomes stationary." I was ELEVEN! Who does that? It was like a deliberate effort to sabotage and discourage my love of books. And ironically, somehow, in English class we were reading The White Mountains, which was a great Scifi novel. And I was not struggling, I was enjoying it.
In my nineth grade English literature class we were handed text books. I always loved these because they were essentially anthology collections of great short stories. The teacher NEVER used the text book. She never assigned any story in it. I saw Harrison Bergeron listed and I had just seen the TV movie version so I wanted to read the original story. I asked the teacher about it and her "words of encouragement" were "That's not going to be assigned. You don't have to read that. Don't bother." I read it on my own.
This same teacher had ordered me to stop reading ahead when we were assigned chapters of Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. I loved that book. When I asked why she said "Because you'll forget what you've read."
Well, here it is, almost thirty-years-later and I haven't forgotten at all. Thanks for "Encouraging" me to read.
Another "Encouragement" was when I was in a programming for visually impaired students and the teacher had a book case full of the classics. And "You can read them but only if you write a book report for me after each one."
Well, I just wanted to read them. She wasn't my English teacher. Why should I write her a report? It wasn't going to impact my grade, just slow down my ability to read the next one. So I started to pretend I hadn't finished one book and would discretely move on to another. I did this several times.
One teacher's assistant didn't believe me when I came back from summer break having discovered a love of Anne Rice novels. She started to quiz me on The Queen of the damned to prove to her I read it. (This was before there was even a movie version, mind you). Why do these things? You're going to discourage kids from reading.
In yet another school I went to I was surprised that not only were all of these things allowed and encouraged but the school library even had a coffin shaped book case full of Goosebumps books.
To me this was surreal as I had it engrained into me that Goosebumps was "Not real reading." And "didn't belong in school." I guess that particular school was being reactionary to the books being fashionable among kids (the way Harry Potter would later be). And since kids liked them "Something must be wrong."
But thirteen-year-old me still had the mentality of "Wow, I can't believe this. I wonder how long before they decide they made a mistake and that these should be banned." The below image is similar to the book case the school had.
Combine all this with schools obnoxiously always assigning grim and depressing stories about "coming to terms with loss and death" and it's a wonder any kid likes to read.
I've met grown adults who think all books are about coming to terms with death because that was literally ALL They were assigned as kids. Old Yeller, Charlotte's Web, On my Honor, Bridge to Terabithia... "But kids should learn about death and loss." Yes, but not when it's literally EVERY book they've ever been assigned! It's a wonder anyone grew up loving books.

"The Church of Scientology continues to produce short videos as counter-programming to Alex Gibney’s hugely popular HBO documentary Going Clear, posting them at the website of its propaganda magazine, Freedom.
We’ve watched these videos evolve over time. In the most recent ones, which attack the credibility of Gibney and two of the stars of his movie, former Scientology executives Mike Rinder and Tom DeVocht, the vids feature short interviews with current Scientology officials.
And while what they have to say is mostly forgettable, their appearances have been invaluable for us. They provide us sharp, current images of dozens of important figures in Scientology, and stills taken from video are practically the definition of “Fair Use” so we can use the images as often as we like. (Hey, Dave, did you really think this through?)
The church has produced several films about Rinder, and the newest one consists of about a dozen Scientology executives remarking on what a terrible person he is and what a bummer it was to work with him. One of them claims that Rinder was demoted so much, at the end he was the guy grabbing coffee for the others. Actually, as Rinder explains in Going Clear, after he had been brought out of “The Hole,” where he’d been a prisoner for about a year and looked gaunt, his final assignment was to work as a spokesman for the church who “handled” BBC journalist John Sweeney. Those images in the movie are pretty hard to deny, and we don’t expect that many people who have seen Gibney’s film will find this video a very effective blow.
We asked Rinder about the people in the video, and he pointed out that none of them were actually people he worked with much.
“None of the people I actually worked with are in there. I mean, I know all of those people and I had interactions with them. But it’s strange that for 30 years I was the international spokesman and now they’re saying I did nothing, and only brought coffee for people,” he said. “They’re scared to show the people I really worked with, because it would remind people that they all disappeared.” He’s referring to people like Church of Scientology president Heber Jentzsch, who was also imprisoned in “The Hole.”
If the video is weak sauce as far as counter-programming is concerned, it is a bit of a goldmine for us. Because it includes so many images of people we hear about but rarely get to see.
And one of the most interesting of them is Claire Edwards. She shows up very briefly, uttering this line about Rinder: “Never interested. Never asked me how I was doing. Never anything. It was just a very, very cold person.”
It’s a pretty forgettable part of the video, but we were stunned because we know who she is — she’s the sister of Neil Gaiman, the world famous fantasy and sci-fi author.
We’ve written pretty extensively about Gaiman and his background in Scientology. Neil’s father David Gaiman was a very important figure in the history of the church, serving as the face of Scientology in the UK for decades. He was also a top member of Scientology’s notorious “Guardian’s Office,” was named an unindicted co-conspirator for his role in the Snow White Program’s 1970s infiltration of the US federal government, and he also played a part in Scientology’s intimidation and harassment of author Paulette Cooper. (Which is why he plays an interesting part in our book, The Unbreakable Miss Lovely, which comes out in only 9 more days! Sorry, couldn’t help ourselves.)
Neil himself (which also happens to be his Twitter handle, @neilhimself) grew up in Scientology, provided a fascinating interview to the BBC at only 7 years old, became a Class VIII auditor, and even ran the Birmingham “org” as its ED, executive director. Sometime in the 1980s, however, he walked away from Scientology, though he doesn’t talk about it much.
But that’s understandable, because the rest of his family are about as rabid about Scientology as it gets. His mother has given huge amounts to help fund Scientology’s initiatives in the UK, his sister Lizzy Calcioli has gone on television to defend the church, his nephew (Lizzy’s son) Alessandro Calcioli became famous for winning the right to get married in a Scientology org in England, and Neil’s other sister, Claire, is a Sea Org worker in Los Angeles.
But we had rarely seen or heard anything about her — until now, with her appearance in the video about Mike Rinder.
Tumblr media
OK, Neil, we know you don’t want to talk about the beliefs or odd rituals of Scientology because you don’t want to cause problems with your family. But how about standing up on your two hind legs and saying something about Gibney’s film? Surely you’ve seen it? No?
Anyway, we’ll continue to wait for Neil to say something about the abuses and deprivations of Scientology, which as a former staffer he knows all too well, and we’ll move on to another really interesting person who showed up very briefly in one of the new videos put out by the church.
Norman_Starkey
Norman Starkey was once captain of the yacht Apollo, flagship of L. Ron Hubbard’s mini-navy when Hubbard ran Scientology from sea. Starkey also ended up in The Hole, and when we were compiling a list of its prisoners, here’s what Amy Scobee told us about him: “Trustee ASI [Author Services, Inc., Hubbard’s literary agency]. His rank was Captain Right Arm as he was actually a captain of one of the Sea Org vessels in the early days and worked with LRH. He became a shadow of a man. He was on the Anderson Cooper week-long series on violence in Scientology, claiming Miscavige never laid a hand on anyone. He once got his ears boxed so bad that he had ruptured his eardrum. He once was made to wear only diapers by Miscavige. He was part of the group of people who were made to sleep out on the grounds and only take a shower with a hose and poop in a little bucket while chipping rock all day. I saw him hauling wheelbarrows in a blue boiler suit several times after he would be in trouble. He’s originally from South Africa and his wife is Maria Starkey — Miscavige’s typist or secretary (and person who handles his dogs). Norman also held the AVC Aide post for a while.”
But Norman also has another really interesting role in Scientology history. In July 2013, after we broke the news that Leah Remini had defected from Scientology, and that her journey out had begun in the most fascinating way — with a row and a scene at the 2006 wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in a castle outside Rome — Mike Rinder filled in some more details of that story at his blog.
We had said that Remini, according to our sources, had become curious that Scientology leader David Miscavige, who was best man, was there without his wife, Shelly Miscavige, and appeared a little too friendly to his “communicator,” a female assistant. Leah started asking why Shelly wasn’t at the wedding, and she got a rude response from spokesman Tommy Davis. Leah, incensed, went off to write up a report about the entire night. What Rinder added was the fun detail that what had seemed to set off the night’s craziness was that Starkey imbibed, and then chatted up a particular Hollywood figure — we’ll let you see who in Mike’s version.
Gosh, isn’t this fun? Hey, Dave, keep the videos coming. We’re getting so much out of them!
——————–
Scientology in Ireland is crashing
We’ve said it in past years — thank goodness for Irish law. In that country, Scientology has to open up its books and reveal how much revenue it’s taking in. And once again, the yearly report is dismal.
Scientology in Ireland took in under 50,000 euros last year, down from the 73,000 it took in the year before — and way down from the 603,000 it received in 2006.
Pete Griffiths, we blame you!
But seriously, although there are surely local conditions which might not be repeated elsewhere, these results are consistent with what we’ve been seeing around the world — Scientology involvement is crumbling, and fast.
What would it do without its whales?

Top Benefits of Enrolling in a Medical Coding Course: What You Need to Know
Tumblr media
In recent years, the healthcare industry has undergone a transformative shift, driven by advancements in technology and the growing need for administrative efficiency. Among the many career paths within this field, medical coding stands out as one of the most promising and in-demand professions. If you're based in Kerala and are considering entering this field, enrolling in the best medical coding course in Calicut could be your gateway to a rewarding and secure career.
This blog explores the key benefits of pursuing medical coding and why choosing a reputable course in Calicut can be a strategic move for your future.
What Is Medical Coding?
Medical coding involves translating healthcare diagnoses, procedures, services, and equipment into universal medical alphanumeric codes. These codes are essential for billing, insurance claims, record-keeping, and statistical analysis in healthcare settings. By assigning standardised codes, medical coders help maintain consistency and accuracy in patient records and streamline administrative tasks.
Why Medical Coding Is a Growing Career
The demand for skilled medical coders is on the rise, not only in India but also globally. Healthcare providers increasingly rely on accurate documentation and coding for insurance reimbursements and compliance with legal requirements. This surge in demand has led to a spike in training programs across the country, with many students now opting for the best medical coding course in Calicut to secure a stable and fulfilling career.
Advantages of Joining the Top Medical Coding Program in Calicut
1. High Demand and Job Security
One of the most compelling reasons to pursue a career in medical coding is job security. With the healthcare industry expanding rapidly, there is a consistent demand for professionals who can manage and code medical data accurately. Completing a reputable course in Calicut increases your chances of employment, as well as career advancement.
2. Attractive Salary Packages
Qualified medical coders are well-compensated for their skills. Entry-level salaries are competitive, and with experience and additional certifications, your earning potential can increase significantly. A strong foundation through a top-rated course in Calicut can prepare you for both on-site and remote job roles.
4. Global Career Opportunities

This global standardisation means that coders trained in India can find work opportunities in countries like the USA, UAE, Australia, and the UK. The best medical coding course in Calicut equips you with the skills necessary to meet international requirements.
5. Quick Entry Into the Workforce
Unlike other healthcare professions that require years of study, medical coding courses are relatively short. A reputed course in Calicut ensures that you are job-ready upon completion.
6. A Non-Clinical Role in the Healthcare Sector
If you’re interested in the healthcare field but prefer to stay away from clinical roles that involve direct patient care, medical coding is ideal. It allows you to contribute meaningfully to the industry while working in an administrative capacity. Choosing the best medical coding course in Calicut ensures you receive the right theoretical and practical knowledge to thrive in this role.
7. Opportunities for Specialisation
As you gain experience in the field, you can specialise in specific areas such as inpatient coding, outpatient coding, or risk adjustment coding. IELTS vs PTE: Which is an Easier English Proficiency Test?
Tumblr media
If you're planning to study, work, or move abroad, one of the first things you’ll need to do is prove your English skills. Two of the most popular tests for this purpose are the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) and the PTE (Pearson Test of English). A common question that comes up among test-takers is: Which one is easier—IELTS or PTE? The answer really depends on your personal preferences, learning style, and how comfortable you are with technology. If you're preparing for the test and need some guidance, exploring resources or seeking support from ielts best coaching in ahmedabad might also help you better understand the test format and your strengths.
Let’s take a closer look at both tests and compare them so you can figure out which one suits you best.
1. Test Format
IELTS is offered in two formats: Paper-based and Computer-based. It tests you in four areas:
Listening
Reading
Writing
Speaking (this is done in a one-on-one interview with an examiner)
PTE, on the other hand, is completely computer-based. You’ll use a microphone for the Speaking section, and everything is assessed by a computer. The sections in PTE include:
Speaking & Writing (combined)
Reading
Listening
Which is easier?
If you feel more comfortable speaking directly with a person, you might find IELTS easier.
If you prefer typing and interacting with a computer, PTE might feel more straightforward.
2. Scoring System
IELTS uses a band score system ranging from Band 0 to 9, with scores assigned by human examiners. PTE gives scores between 10 and 90, and your results are calculated by an automated system.
Which is easier?
PTE’s scoring is automated and consistent.
With IELTS, the scores for Writing and Speaking can vary slightly depending on the examiner.
3. Speaking Section
In IELTS, you’ll have a conversation with a real examiner. In PTE, you speak into a microphone, and a computer evaluates your answer.
Which is easier?
If speaking to a person makes you nervous, PTE might feel less stressful.
If you’re more comfortable speaking face-to-face and expressing yourself that way, IELTS could be the better option.
4. Writing Section
IELTS includes two tasks:
Task 1: You’ll describe a graph, chart, or letter.
Task 2: You’ll write an essay on a given topic.
PTE has different types of writing tasks:
Summarizing written text
Essay writing
Sentence completion tasks, where you’ll have to choose the correct words to complete sentences.
Which is easier?
If you prefer writing essays in a more open-ended format, IELTS gives you more freedom to express your thoughts.
PTE is more structured, which can be easier if you’re good with grammar and typing quickly.
5. Test Duration
IELTS takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete. PTE is a bit shorter, lasting around 2 hours.
Which is easier?
If you’re worried about fatigue during a long test, PTE might be more manageable since it’s shorter.
6. Result Time
IELTS results take around 5 to 7 days for computer-based tests, or up to 13 days for paper-based tests. PTE results come much faster, usually within 2 to 5 days.
Which is easier?
If you need your results quickly, PTE has a clear advantage due to its faster turnaround time.
7. Availability and Acceptance
Both IELTS and PTE are accepted by thousands of universities, colleges, and governments worldwide, including in countries like the UK, USA, Australia, and Canada.
Tip: Make sure you confirm the requirements with the university or visa program you’re applying to. Some may have a preference for one test over the other.
Conclusion
So, is IELTS easier or is PTE the better choice? Ultimately, it comes down to your personal preferences and strengths.
Choose IELTS if:
You’re more comfortable speaking to a person in a one-on-one setting
You like writing essays in a traditional format
You’d prefer the option of doing the test on paper or computer
Choose PTE if:
You’re comfortable using a computer and typing
You need your results quickly and prefer automated scoring
You’re more at ease speaking into a microphone than in a face-to-face conversation
If you’re still unsure, it might help to try practice tests for both. You can get a feel for the format and see which one you’re more comfortable with before making a decision.
FAQs
1. Which test is more accepted, IELTS or PTE? Both are accepted worldwide, though some institutions or countries might have a preference for IELTS. Always check with the relevant authority before booking.
2. Is the PTE test easier for non-native speakers? It depends on the individual. Some people find PTE easier because it’s more technology-driven and less focused on human interaction.
3. Can I prepare for both IELTS and PTE at the same time? You certainly can, but it’s usually better to focus on one to avoid spreading yourself too thin. Choose the test that aligns best with your strengths.
4. Which test gives faster results? PTE typically provides results within 2 to 5 days, making it faster than IELTS, which can take up to 13 days.
5. Do preparation strategies help with IELTS or PTE? Absolutely. Whether you’re preparing for IELTS or PTE, having a focused study plan and practicing regularly can make a significant difference in your scores.
