i feel like i'm in a surprisingly small minority of people for thinking that andrew hussie is like, a legitimately great writer and not just an irony-poisoned douchebag who lucked into a really memetic webcomic idea. i mean she is that too but i also think she has a rare talent. psycholonials really revealed that potential to me and i think it'd be a shame if homestuck is all she'll ever be known for

trying to go through the psycholonials tag why are you people saying the art is ugly and bad what the hell. did you actually read the whole thing or were you turned off by the Pixels on the first page

“it’s not as imaginative or interesting as anything in mspa” what the hell are you talking about.

do you understand how hard it is to get these colors to look this gorgeous together. do you even try to be immersed in zhens mental state (which is quite obviously what the art is evoking especially for characters like percy or the cops).

i would argue that not only is the juxtaposition of this style incredibly whimsical and fun as hell but actually some of it’s more technically advanced than art in homestuck

look at this guy! look at the level of rendering and shadow! how are you thinking this is ugly!

read psycholonials. made a clownsona. you know the drill. i also just like drawing in the hero mode style, so this was a good excuse.

it was a fun read; i enjoyed it. i would recommend reading it yourself if you are interested.

Well this took a far higher effort than it was really worth but after hitting the layer limit several times on Paint tool Sai, I have finally finished THIS!!

A full redraw of the Ring 3 lineup of Psycholonials, It was real fun trying to re-interprate these designs in a style somewhat closer to MSPA, but also a huge pain in the ass, augh! I don't think I want to even look at another clown after spending days on these dang things!

(I really hope actually looking at this that Tumblr doesn't fuckin eat the image quality but we'll just have to see!)
