Puddlelight cannot catch a break, I'm pretty sure she's wanting to be the main protagonist or something.

Let's see, she got into a romance with a loner and had kits *after* she became deputy.

She took a walk one day to catch a breather from her kits and stepped into a bear trap.

She becomes mates with one of my medicine cats immediately after so now she has a secret romance going on.

She had to get amputated because the wound got so bad.

She keeps getting sick!

And the entire time my clan has been unable to keep a deputy for very long. I think the deputy position is cursed...

But hey! Puddlelight is very caring and optimistic about things regardless of what's been thrown at her!

1. StarClan. It's how it's written in the books.

2. Fireheart. FireHeart just always rubbed me the wrong way. Same with Fire'Heart or Fire'heart. Like that's just unnecessary...

3. Either or. I think they're synonymous.

4. My personal naming system is whatever makes sense. Like, I'm not gonna go for Angelglass or Buffaloblue for a cat in the forest... it needs to be realistic enough. But names like Hope- or Thaw- bring me joy...

5. I... I fucking hate- like absolutely DESPISE the canon explanation for why meddies can't have kits. Why don't they say it's like nuns? Like it's the absolute devotion to StarClan? No kits or relationships, instead devoting themselves fully to StarClan.

6. My FanClans, Dark Omens, are my babies... HiddenClan, MoorClan, BoulderClan, and PineClan! My sister and I have worked on them for YEARS.

7. ....so fucking many. I mean, Newtpelt of MoorClan, Applesneeze of HiddenClan, Doeleg of BoulderClan, Cedartooth of PineClan and his transfem sister, Spottedclaw.

8. A whole bunch of them. I absolutely adore GreyFireSand... my beautiful poly ship. I also am toying with the idea of BristleRootShadow... because how cute would that be? I can't even count how many cats I hc as queer.

9. I think age should be... ever so slightly. I like to think the cats 9 lives sorta revitalize them... (even though I don't like the 9 lives thing in my own personal hcs) and bring them back to their prime.

10. I like Ashfur as the imposter... mostly. Though I do kinda wish it was Mapleshade... or someone who we didn't expect or was harder to guess. It would've been interesting if it was Maple. She kinda feels like she was there for OotS and then disappeared.

11. I love the books... but after the writing team split up they've gotten worse and worse. It's hard to say.

12. I love the prefix Heather- but I hate the names that rely on color of eyes... like... poor guy only gets one possible name if they have blue eyes and are named Bluekit. You're gonna be Blueeyes.

13. I want more clan nationalism and traditions in warriors. More "my clan's better because we can speak to StarClan like you HEATHENS can't!" In warriors.

14. I don't remember the full one... but it started with Pale- but the one HeroPaws gave me was Wolfspeckle so. OH IT WAS PALETHORN

15. I have read all the books and I am deeply ashamed of it.

16. Yeah... I can't use like, Squirrelflight but Minnowtail is fine. Stuff like that.

17. I treat my cats like people. Like, realistically cats with human intellect. Dark Omens deals with disabilities in the second arc with Puddlelight and Crookedfoot. Puddle struggles with anxiety and ASD, but it's largely ignored by his clan who has trouble seeing it whereas Crooked, who was born with a twisted foot- is acknowledged because they can see his disability/disorder and his success is celebrated. This drives Puddlepaw to violence and joining the Dark Forest cats... and I won't spoil past that besides the fact that eventually, the other cats come to understand their wrongdoings in how they treated Puddlelight.

Are female cats called mollies or she-cats?

Is your preferred naming style traditional (as in prefix refers to appearance and is restricted to locale and suffix refers to the individual’s traits)? Lyrical (anything goes)? Canon only (only uses prefixes and suffixes canon has used)? Some hybrid of them? Something else entirely?

Name one thing you consider not canon. Explaining why is optional. It can be a book, an event, whatever.

Do you have any fanclans? Gush about them if you’d like.

If you’ve answered yes to the above, how many tortie/calico toms are in them? I’m not judging; I’ve got a tortie tom in my own fanclans.

How many canon characters do you interpret as LGBT+? No need to go over who exactly, just “this is the amount of characters” is all I want to know, but if you want to go over who you think is LGBT+, go right on ahead.

Is age a deterrent for choosing a cat as leader? Example, Squirrelflight, Crowfeather, and Reedwhisker are nearly old enough for the elders’ den.

How pleased are you with revelation of the Imposter’s identity? As in, are you pleased with who it is? If not, who would you have preferred instead?

Would you consider the Warriors books good in terms of overall quality?

What’s one warrior name you really love? What warrior name do you really hate?

Do you find clan expletives/insults charming, weird, fitting, or something else I can’t think of? Words like foxdung, mousebrain, etc.

Do you have a government-assigned warrior name? What is it? Did you “cheat” to get it or did you roll with the first thing you got?

Do you actually still read the books or do you just get the synopses from second-hand sources like the wiki or a friend?

When you make Warriors OCs, are you okay with using a name that belongs to a canon cat? Is importance a factor? (Such as you’ll use Appledawn, but not Jayfeather)

How much does realism matter to you? Do your battlecat OCs follow realistic cat behaviors with a slightly more intelligent mind, or are they human minds in fuzzy coats? Are your designs realistic, stylized realistic, semi-realistic, semi-fanciful, or entirely fanciful (note that if a fanclan setting’s gimmick is “warriors, but they’re also monsters!” this doesn’t really count)? Do they age realistically? Are real-life genetic quirks treated with the same weight as they are in real life (tortoiseshell toms, vitilago, blue-eyed white cats, albinism, etc)? Are disabilities (either born with or gained) realistically handled with your cats?

I am so curious for the outcome of this thing.

Also this should be a no-brainer, but I feel I need to say this outright. DON’T MOCK OTHER PEOPLE FOR THEIR PREFERENCES OR SAY THEY’RE LESS VALID BECAUSE OF ONE REASON OR ANOTHER. This is so I can gather data, not for people laugh at others for not having the right opinion.
