Welcome to a quick but important language lesson before our lovely Korean speaking members join the QSMP!

I call it:

“No, that Korean speaker is not casually saying the N-word.”

The Korean word for “I/me” is 내가, romanized as “nae-ga”

The Korean word for “you” is 니가, romanized as “ni-ga”

They are not saying a racial slur. It is literally the word for me/you. please understand the context, and get familiar with hearing these words all the time in normal conversation.

Read this article, this is what they have had to deal with in the west before.

Above all, extend grace and understanding to the new members and new communities. Research things yourself, and educate your friends about their language and culture to avoid misunderstandings. Realize that for many of these new people, this may be their first time interacting with another culture- let alone so many at once. They will be learning themselves, and may make mistakes. Be patient and for the love of god don’t scare them off. spread love <3

So. Let me get this straight (well not STRAIGHT but you know what I mean LMAO) Jungryeok:

Yelled "I LOVE YOU" to Quackity as his first impression (also mentioned THE QSMP GLOBAL SERVER multiple times. King)

Has the energy and volume of an illegal power plant (and the humor to match)

Knows SO MANY little bits of language that he picked up and continues to pick up easily (VAMOS!!, SEE YOU TOMORROW!!!, etc.)

Calls people trash (and Foolish Mr. Stupid)

Calls himself Chun-Sik's mother

INSTANTLY started swearing and exchanging swears at the top of his lungs when asked (to the dismay of Acau)

Drinks heavily and does not hesitate to talk about drinking heavily (TEQUILAAAAAA)

Had a cool talk about culture and their countries music with Roier and Quackity (and can also BEATBOX LIKE A BOSS)

Asked Chun-Sik if he wanted to ROB ACAU'S HOUSE

MADE KISSING NOISES WHEN FOOLISH AND ROIER HUGGED???

I've watched the latest Acau video and it's so cute, all the comment are like "he is called badboy but he is the ultimate good boy" "He is a bad boy but he is too sweet" "Goodboyhalo really saved us that day"

Even if you don't understand Korean, Acau videos are really well edited, and the comments are cute. You should definitely take a look. (It has the moment where he roasts quackity house with the "it's perfect to live alone")

Welcome 양띵 to the QSMP!

I know that the current state of the QSMP is a bit iffy and many may not feel comfortable watching QSMP right now (valid response), but I still feel like a warm welcome to these new Korean creators is still needed regardless as they are being introduced to an international community, which is a very scary thing ngl.

Intro to Yangdding!

Yangdding / YD / 양딩 (she/her) is a really popular Korean minecraft creator who has been a leader in the Korean gaming space for a long time, she has made videos regularly for nearly 11 years! and has broken lots of records, like being the 1st YouTube channel to reach 1 million views!!

YD is a creative person, mainly does minecraft series content with mods but plays a variety of different games & has a separate channel to show all of the irl adventures she has, along with her husband and dogs too. she also knows Acau!
