the juxtaposition of how quasimodo and frollo sing about esmerelda (comparing her affection to heaven, comparing her dancing to hellfire) and the juxtaposition of their physical location while they’re singing, with quasimodo being in his tower/being physically closer to heaven, and frollo kneeling down to sing into what is presumably a fireplace (i know that in the disney film he is actually in front of a fireplace, the red light at the end might be mirroring that?). the way you can hear the bells ringing at the end of hellfire in the musical cast recording suggesting that they were singing at the exact same time (“and as i ring these bells tonight, my cold dark tower seems so bright”) but going about their feelings in VASTLY different ways. just GODDD im absolutely deranged about them

Quasimodo is beautiful

Do you just look at Quasimodo and want to cry because he's so beautiful and amazing?

A few times, I've been treated badly for thinking this. They've said he's ugly and it's wrong to find him beautiful and sweet. They said I watched the Disney version before the book, which isn't true. They said I don't understand the book.

It's just an attempt to discredit me because they can't believe that anyone would find a disabled person beautiful. It's saddening to see the ableism in this fandom.

Anyway, I love him so much, he's perfect!
