Don’t get me wrong, I’ve tried Discord RP. Unfortunately, I was never able to really get into them, or write much with my OCs.

Forums are just… such a superior platform to me (apart maybe for on the fly writing on your phone, but I can’t do anything qualitative like that).

I mean just look at what you can do, all using free coding template! No need to pay in order to have a tiny header on the side! All free!

Now that’s what I call immersion, and it’s honestly one of the most important part for me, it helps so much to project your characters into the universe created by the staff.

Thinking about dragon populations and typing again: the main difference between the Old Timer and 9th Pass Benden dragons was the size, but what if hundreds of Turns of line breeding had resulted in some really weird differences?

What if all of Benden's dragons were just...Really dark coloured, or really light? What if all the bronzes and blues were on the green end of their spectrums? All the browns are super red toned? Do they have oversized heads and gangly legs? A tendency for big eyes? Extra toes? Too much wing membrane?

All the Old Timers pitch up like "Well, yeah, that is a dragon, and I guess they're not too different..." but sometimes it's a little uncanny valley when they spot them flying over.

(This isn't a specific musing about inbreeding itself (or why Anne's canon that triple helix DNA magically solving that problem is weird) but sometimes I just like the idea of riders being able to tell where a dragon comes from at a glance – "oh, that brown has a massive tail, do you think he's from Doeth's line?". Like how sometimes dog people can tell who bred what dog.)

Mes nuits blanches ne sont pas blanches, à peine claires Semées d'étoiles. Petits trous dans la toile étanche Tristes strass sur le voile.

Il y a de ces rêves qu'on fait sans cesse. Il y a de ces cauchemars qui réveillent nos faiblesses. Il y a tellement de choses qui se passent les yeux fermés que parfois, on refuse de les ouvrir. Peut-être par peur de mourir. Peut-être par peur de vivre. Il y a tellement de choses qui se passent les yeux ouverts que parfois, on aimerait les fermer. S'enfuir. Vivre ailleurs. Le temps d'une nuit, le temps de quelques heures.

Et moins je dors et plus je pense Et plus je pense et moins j'oublie.

Ceux qui rêvent ont bien de la chance. Quant à moi j'ai des insomnies.

Le concept principal du forum est d'exploiter les rêves de votre personnage, notamment les rêves récurrents. I've spent a few months (on and off) creating a Faceclaim for my rpg avatars. I'm adding to it as I go through my archives, but for now, I've cataloged around 250 faces.
