So.. Raboot is still baby
He’s like that fourteen year old, edgy boy, out of your middle school class, who pretends he doesn’t have any emotions, but lowkey is the softest thing ever.💕💕

I really liked this scene in episode 69 (heh), the animation was more fluid and bouncy which made the emotion they were conveying a lot more impactful.
That paired with Sarunori's crying face and the voice acting for Gou made this such a great scene. I don't know how to explain this but the emotions just felt so sincere and real. I had to pause and replay it a couple times to really process this! They did a good job.
Initially I wasn't very interested in this anime, anipoké just wasn't as interesting as watching playthroughs of the games. I tried watching a little, curious since SatoGou became one of the most popular ships so fast, but I find that I'm more interested in Gou as a character than the ship itself.
Gou, a young boy who doesn't like socializing and prefers to stay home, researching pokémon that he can't help but love since it's all just so fascinating. Meeting with Satoshi, a big extrovert who has a passion and loves Pokémon just as much as he does, and spending time with him has definitely changed him a lot as a person.
Seeing him perplexed at Rabifoot/Raboot's sudden personality change earlier in the season and finally coming to terms with it after a lot of effort, but when the same issue occurs with Jimeleon it's quickly dealt with just illustrates how much Gou and his relationship with Pokémon has grown.
I've once thought "it's kind of selfish of him to catch all these Pokémon and dump them in sakuragi park without giving them special care just for the sake of his dream", but now I know that he loves every single one of them and always visits them when he can.
Just having someone around who's always cheerful and never shuts up can change someone a LOT. Gou must've felt quite lonely and isolated, living in a house where no one's home and purposely not attending school just to avoid seeing people. I'm sure a lot of people have resonated with his story, especially in episode 62 where it shows a younger Gou getting overwhelmed and frustrated when being confronted by his teacher about his lack of socializing, and the connection with Jimeleon.
But now that he has Satoshi, I don't think he'll ever have a day where it's quiet. Koharu doesn't need to worry anymore, since they have each other. Those two may not share the same goal, but they're exactly the same when it comes to their love of Pokémon and have a bond like no other. I hope Journeys ends well! I will definitely miss it and rewatch it a lot when it's over.

finished the swsh arc in journeys and i think it was pretty good adaptation of the climax
things i liked
dande using an ultraball at eternatus
the few extra lines of rose’s backstory that at least makes it make a bit more sense
how satoshi and gou threw the ball at eternatus together, which was a thing i really wanted in the game but i guess they didnt want to make a whole cutscene for that and didnt want hop to discuss custody rights with mc but whatever
the double evolution, though i thought rabifoot had so many chances in previous eps to evolve but they saved it for this moment.
raihan appearing at all in the climax
things i wasnt so mm about
raihan’s lines towards sonia, which i think i heard complaints about before but actually seeing it was kinda mmmm why
overall it was pretty good, and if i had watched it in the height of my swsh obsession i think i would have appreciated it. that or i would have continued mourning the lack of hop, but journeys really does sell dual protag sato/gou like swsh sells mc/hop so it worked really well

NOOOOO rip Pretty brat boy, but I’ll take the pun on Nigou jari boy lol FSHJgsfhjgfs Rocket Gang was awesome this ep, seriously.
Also FREAKING HELL, they did indeed make HIbunny evolve this early! And I actually kinda predicted something yesterday on twitter: it’s gone mute! We won’t know who voices Rabifoot until it stops its emo phase :O wow.
This is gonna be an interesting arc for Gou. But anywho, Good ep.
