i keep thinking about a hundred line au. more headcanoning, rain code spoilers, and mild spoilers for 100line's first 100 days under the cut:

Fubuki has Takumi's "retry" ability, so she's the one time traveling to bring about a happy ending. I suppose you could say she's the protagonist here!

Speaking of protags, Yuma is an all around attacker who can buff his nearby allies with armor with one of his moves. However, his skills change to boosted attacking moves if an ally dies in the same turn, making him a vengeance-based killing machine.

You may be wondering why Yomi has a support role. Well that's because he actually goes out there bossing everyone around to do his bidding, lol. With his whip, he motivates his allies, curing their fatigue, creating high voltage, and giving them attack boosts at the cost of some friendly fire damage

Yakou's job is generally applying armor to himself and others, but also inflicting bleed on targets. If he happens to have a debuff, he gains an attack boost.

Makoto is still a clone of Yuma, created as a result of some hemoanima experiments. Despite being a clone created for war, Makoto is quite friendly with Yuma, and they'll often be hanging out in the same rooms during free time.

I think Kurumi would play a similar role to Nozomi in terms of mechanics and some aspects of the story.

Zilch has a muzzle and ears purely for aesthetic purposes. Despite all the animal motifs in his class armor, not a single one of his abilities reference it.

Pucci's mech is shaped like a big teddy bear. I feel like that's important to note.

Shinigami is their super puffy, super cute, morally dubious commanding officer! Her personality doesn't change much- she just happens to have a leadership position and way too much sway in running things lol

Gift Giving in Rain Code

playing 100line had me remembering how it always made me sad that rain code never lets the player give gifts to the other detectives. they're a cute and fun way to flesh out the cast and deepen character bonds.

it'd be fun to have some sort of magical gachapon machine in the city that dispenses gifts if you gather collectable "Shinigami-coins" similar to how you find shinigami statues laying around, so there are more reasons to explore kanai ward. or maybe detective points could even be spent on it so there are more reasons to do side-quests.

if you give the best gifts, you can unlock a conversation or event with the other detectives like a sort of upgraded gumshoe gab. it'd be even better if you can unlock interactions where the cast could hang out as a group...

so here's my comprehensive list of what i think the cast's favorite gifts would be if you got to do danganronpa-style gachapon gifts:

Speaking of The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, what did you think or are you thinking of the game?

First of all, I want to congratulate everyone, Congratulations to all the fans who are dedicating themselves to playing and creating content for this work, and congratulations to the creators too.

I haven't seen all the endings, but the most I've seen is that it's a really crazy and interesting game in a good way. I unfortunately won't be able to play but I can try to watch someone's entire gameplay. The characters are interesting, My faves have become what everyone already knows: Takumi Sumino, Eito Aotsuki (mixed feelings), Nozomi Kirifuji and Kako Tsukumo.

I made a remake of an old drawing when I talked about this game, it's been a while, so you might notice some differences, maybe I tried to improve again if I redo it again, just a silly crossover art, I'll still love Rain Code either way. The battle uniform is quite attractive, the gameplay system, I'm neutral about it and I'm here for the story, I'm fine with receiving spoilers, but I can wait for everyone to finish so I can find out.

I think I'll keep my opinions about the story and characters when I finish seeing all the endings and routes, even though my profile is focused on Rain Code I can try to draw or make an edition of the characters from The Hundred Line like I did with Zero from Tribe Nine (I miss drawing him, I saw chapter 3), Anyway, I hope everyone is having fun, I'm seeing some great content on Twitter/X, and I hope sales are good enough to save the company.

I've been kind of active on my Twitter because of the hype of The Hundred Line and I've changed a few things, when it cools down a bit more I'll go back to normal, i think. I'll still try to make Rain Code drawings here if you still want.
