Give it up for the Green team! There are many lean Green machines but some like Luigi and the Jolly Green Giant just didn't make the cut.

Happy Easter! To celebrate I've made a video about the Easter eggs I snuck into my animated films over the years, in chronological order going as far back as 2004 with Manga-Gaga Omake 100 all the way up to my most recent film What a Waste! The video will be premiering at 2pm (UK time) today!
Check out the video and sketch below!

Rakugakids
Tumblr media
JP release: 23rd July 1998
PAL release: 4th December 1998
NA release: N/A
Developer: Konami
Publisher: Konami
N64 Magazine Score: 80%
Tumblr media
Rakugakids is odd in that it came out in Japan and Europe – but not North America. It’s a 1-on-1 fighting game where magic crayons have brought the creations of children to life. This created a fun cast of inventive characters – showing Clayfighter that something fun can be done with its concept – these fighters even change shape as they perform moves.
Tumblr media
It has a really lovely visual style, and some neat touches like shadows and a stage that features a mirror. The fighting itself it a ton of fun, and I’m not someone that enjoys the genre. There are a lot of moves for each characters – the moves reminded me of Super Smash Bros in a way.
Tumblr media
The presentation and how much fun it is to play – even the movement and jumping feels extremely fluid – makes this one of the N64’s standout fighting games, which is a nice change for a platform littered with poor examples.
The way fighting works has obviously been carefully thought out, and belies Rakuga Kid’s image as a novelty title.
- Martin Kitts, N64 Magazine 22
Remake or remaster?
A crisper looking version of Rakugakids would be lovely to see.
Official ways to get the game.
There is no official way to get Rakugakids.

⏰🥊Clock your enemies cuckoo with Springgear!🥊⏰
Yes, I have made a silly alarm clock oc named Springgear, inspired by the game Rakuga Kids (Nintendo 64)! They have springs for limbs, and have boxing gloves perfect for punching and knocking even the most realistic and serious enemies silly! They might not look like much at first, but they certainly pack a punch in their cartoon logic. They also only communicate in the various sounds clocks can make, or in writing, as they’re a selective mute. (Also it’s hard for them to do sign language when they kinda permanently have boxing gloves for hands y’know.)

I mean.. There is myemulator.online where you could play the game on a browser without downloading stuff but umm if anything that's like for a last resort for me. I am however trying to find safe roms of the game to download along with an N64 emulator if I just cant play the game just my computer/laptop alone, I'm sure you'll find something just be careful ya know.
Also as someone who played this game a few times in the past and a few times now, Its actually really fun and charming! it actually gave me a lot of joy tbh. And its pretty easy to get use to the controls. Its not as hardcore or competitive compared to something like idk another smash/street fighter clone or whatever. but yee. very cute and fun artstyle
ooo ok thank you!! yeah im typically not a fighting game person but rakuga kids doesnt look too scary to try out. it does look like a really fun game, and the artstyle is super charming. i'll have to give it a shot!
