Vitalik Buterin with His Bizarre Moves

Remember the news that Rune Kristensen proposed creating a fork of Solana?

“Solana is best suited to write a new blockchain. It doesn’t have a name yet, but we are already thinking about a brand. Perhaps it will be some NewChain that will complete the Endgame update,” Rune Christensen, Danish prince of the cryptocurrency world. He became famous as the founder of MakerDao, one of the most important systems in the cryptocurrency world.

So, Rune began investing in Bitcoin, even when many did not believe in the future of blockchain technologies. However, he always thinks about the long term.

But for some reason Christensen’s remarks offended Buterin and Vitalik decided to sell all his MKR (MakerDAO) tokens for half a million dollars. Was he offended that Rune wanted to run the protocol on Solana rather than Ethereum?

Let me note that literally a few days after the token sale Vitalik visited the Discord channel of Reflexer Finance and left a strange message there: “MakerDAO wants to try itself in strange directions?”

For example, I don’t see any problem at all with Rune choosing Solana, since the blockchain is known for its high performance due to its ability to process up to 65,000 transactions per second.

On the other hand, Ethereum remains the most popular and widely used at the moment. Moreover, blockchain has a huge community of developers and many decentralized applications.
