Texting the BAU: Would they still love you if you were a worm?
I'm not sure if anyone's ever done this before, but I was inspired by the AI voice tiktok that I saw of 'Hotch' answering this question! The user that posted the tiktok I saw was 'shiftershiz', I thought their video was really cool and I owe them the inspiration for this post!
This post has Hotch, Garcia, Morgan, Rossi, JJ, Reid, and Prentiss. If you'd like to request a temp agent that I didn't include, or an earlier one that got written off, please do so in my inbox, I'd be happy to make more :)
I apologize if some of these pictures are a bit longer than others, I cut the conversation into two 'screenshots' when I could but sometimes it was easier just to stretch them out a teeny bit.
(Almost) all of these can be read as either platonic or romantic, the only hitch is that I mention Will in JJ's post so unless you're envisioning a throuple that one won't work </3
Images under cut to avoid a long post, happy texting!

"my heart always wants to run."
Spencer was unfocused.
The hum of the air conditioner in the precinct wasn’t enough to drown out the thousands of thoughts in his head. What he should have been doing was analyzing the geographical profile of the current unsub, maybe even collecting witness statements or completing paperwork, but no. Spencer Reid was unfocused on the case and completely focused on you.
Ever since Hotch presented the case your entire body language had changed. It was like you had folded in on yourself, deflated in a way that made Spencer’s heart crunch. On the flight to LA, you nervously bit at your nails as the team spoke, bouncing ideas off each other, not contributing to the conversation like you usually did. You took a backseat in this case and for the life of him, Spencer couldn’t figure out why.
The minute you joined the BAU you were as elusive as they came. You barely spoke about yourself, never attended group gatherings, and kept conversations strictly professional. Spencer used to brainstorm reasons as to why you were so reserved, but he stopped once he started thinking of ways to get you to like him.
He would bring you the mini muffins from the cafeteria that were always sold out by noon, but you would always politely decline and claim you had just eaten. He would sit next to you on the jet and make small talk to which you replied with one-word answers. He always made an effort to include you in conversations not pertaining to work but you just would not budge. The only time he got a glimpse into the real you was when he made a stupid off-hand joke about Aristotle and you chuckled from your desk. He did his best to ignore the feeling that swelled in his chest.
Now he was getting a glimpse into your life in a way that he didn’t expect. You were on edge. Something about this case was personal to you. He noticed it in the way you took small gasps every time a new body was found, or how you opted to do paperwork instead of being in the field. As someone who has seen you do a million takedowns with a smile on your face, Spencer knew something was wrong when you opted to stay back. The unsub was kidnapping pairs of sisters, murdering one, and letting the other live. It was gruesome and cruel, and he was accelerating. Spencer should have been doing literally anything to help, but his attention was on you.
“I can feel you staring,” you breathed from your place at the large conference table, not looking up from the paperwork.
“Oh, uh-” Spencer fumbled as he sat up, “I’m not- I wasn’t really staring, I would say I was observing.”
You put your pen down and looked up at him, eyes squinted as you looked at his face, “Why?”
There was an edge to your voice, like you were already pissed and he was just making it worse.
“Well, you usually write faster, you have a notch in between your eyebrows like you’re thinking really hard about something, or trying not to. And you, uh, scratch the back of your ear when you’re nervous,” he blurted out, sitting up straighter, “and uh, I wanted to make sure you were… okay,”
His last sentence made you sit up straighter as your whole face softened. You looked down at the papers in front of you then back up at him, “I didn’t realize anyone noticed,” you whispered voice low.
“Well,” he started, getting up and moving to sit down next to you, “you’re one of us… aaand we’re profilers, we kind of notice these things.”
You let out a small laugh as you shook your head and looked up at him. His hazel eyes were practically sparkling as he stared at you. If you were being completely honest, it was intimidating.
“I’m sorry, I’ve been,” you squint your eyes, thinking of the word to think of, “distant. I’m just not used to all of this, it’s overwhelming.”
“No, it’s okay,” he said almost instantly, voice soft, “This job is a lot, I don’t blame you. But today… this case,” his voice trailed off.
You took a deep sigh, resting your hands in your hands as you shut your eyes for a minute before you spoke, “My sister… she died. I don’t want to talk about it but, this case reminds me of it. Reminds me of her.”
“I understand,” Spencer hummed, in such a soft voice that it almost instantly soothed you.
“God, it happened so long ago I just don’t understand why I can’t get over it,” you shook your head, rubbing at your face before speaking again, “it’s like every time I remember it, I shut down. It’s like I’m broken or something.”
Spencer paused for a moment, looking you over before speaking, “Did you know that grief can actually alter your brain chemistry? Research has shown that the intense emotions associated with grief can increase levels of cortisol which can impact memory and cognitive function. In fact, there's evidence suggesting that the brain of a grieving person might resemble that of someone with a traumatic brain injury.”
You looked over at him, eyes a little wide as if you were taking in everything he just said.
“I don’t know if that helps but-” Spencer started but was cut off by the sound of your voice.
“It helps,” you breathed a laugh, “it really helps, so uh, thanks.”
“You know, I’m always here if you need someone to talk to-” He spoke before tumbling over his words, “I mean we’re all here if you need someone, not just me but all of us.”
You gave him a tight-lipped smile which he returned, “Thank you, Spencer,” you looked back at your paper before glancing back at him, “I might take you up on that offer.”
With his cheeks tinged pink, he nodded, picked up his messenger bag and exited the precinct conference room where Derek was stood in the doorway, clapping a hand on his back as he exited, “You’re in deep, pretty boy,” he commented with a laugh.
“Shut up,” Spencer said under his breath, his cheeks now growing a shade or two darker.
You had said maybe the most you ever had to him in your entire four months of working there and Spencer left the room blushing. He was for sure in deep.

Accidental Baby Genius | Part 2
Based on the request from part 1
You tell Spencer about his child, years later.
Fluff/angst/no smut 🖤 🧸
Enjoy some AI renderings of Reid’s son 🫶🏻
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3.5 Years later
“Mommy!” Your son raises his arms when you walk in the door. He hugs you tight around the neck.
“Roman,” you sigh and hold him for a minute. You push away the gnawing realization that’s been plaguing you for months.
He looks up at you with big brown eyes and sweeps his wavy brown locks from his face. You put your hand in his hair and mess it all up again and he laughs. Even his laugh- the way his face contorts- it’s so achingly familiar.
The cut of his jaw as he approaches three years old is becoming more pronounced. You can’t unsee it in him, Spencer Reid is his father. And if his looks weren’t enough of a convincer-
“Rome read me three Dr Seuss books and The Very Hungry Caterpillar today,” your sister informs you,
“Four!” He pouts.
Your two year old was reading at a fucking first grade level if not higher. You sigh, in awe of him.
A familiar heartache seizes you. Spencer has no idea that this amazing little boy is his son.
“I think it’s time,” you shake your head and inform your sister.
“I think so too,” she agrees.
Roman as back to his spot on the floor, building a Lego set of the Star Wars star destroyer which is huge and you can’t figure out how to build. But he’s over half done and you can watch him move around and articulate how to do it all day long.
You noticed about a week ago that he’s started to lick his bottom lip when he’s thinking, or bite it when he’s nervous. It’s not a trait he got from you.
In fact the only thing he seemed to get from you was his nose and ears but the jury was still out on that one. It’s like you birthed a mini Spencer Reid.
“Hey Romi,” you call him by his nickname and wave him over.
“Do you remember how you asked me about your dad?”
“Uhuhh,” he uses his palm to brush his hair back with his hands which are too big for him.
“How would you like to meet him?” He turns in your arms and lights up.
“Does he like reading?”
“He does,” you answer and fight back tears.
“What about counting, because I can count all the way to five thousand,” he starts talking faster when he’s excited.
“I think so,” you caress his small face and kiss his forehead.
“I didn’t know if this was still your number,” you say when Spencer answers his phone.
“I’ve had it for years, what’s up?” He seems distracted and you don’t want to do this over the phone.
“Can we talk… in person,” you ask.
“Sure?” He hasn’t spoken to you since about a month after you left the team so abruptly.
“How’s lunch tomorrow?” You ask.
“I thought you moved?” He presses.
“My sister and I moved to DC last month, I’m working at the pentagon now,” you inform him.
“Wow, okay,” you hear shuffling in the background. “Let’s do pizza, you still like Ray’s?” He asks because you two ate there all the time.
“Yeah, how about 1230?”
“Sounds good, see you then,” he hangs up.
Your sister takes your shaking hand but you calm yourself by looking at your beautiful boy.
You think Spencer will want to be a dad, you think he’s mentioned it before. Especially with how absent his father was. But you’re nervous and unsure. He would have every right to be angry with you, Roman was almost three. But it’s better late than never right?
-
“Spencer,” you beam nervously and he hugs you. He seems taller, his hair seems curlier, and he’s got some facial hair. He looks… matured. You wonder what he’s been through, what he’s seen with the BAU since you last saw him.
“Y/N, how are you?” He asks.
“Good, I’m good,” you guys sit outside and make idle chat about work.
You fall into easy conversation over pepperoni pizza and he laughs about some joke your coworker made about Aristotle.
“You said you needed to talk to me?” He crosses his legs and pushes his hair back with his palm(just like Roman does.)
“Spencer…” you shake your head and look down at your lap. Your throat tightens and it all comes down to this moment.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” He leans forward and drops his pizza.
“I’m so sorry,” you don’t expect to cry but you do. He drags the metal outdoor chair closer to you and touches your shoulder:
“Sorry for what? What’s going on?” He seems worried.
“I didn’t just leave the BAU for a new position,” you sigh and wipe your eyes. You turn in your chair towards him and pull your knees to your chest.
His brows are furrowed, full and dark just like your sons.
“I got pregnant,” you huff out a shaky breath.
He slides his chair back. You can’t look at him.
“What are you saying?” His voice is low.
“This is Roman,” you slide your phone across the table towards him. Your lock screen is a picture of your son staring at the camera as though he’s far beyond his years.
Tumblr media
Spencer inspects it, his eyes scanning the photo frantically.
“That- he…” and then a tear falls down his face. “Do you have more pictures?”
You take your phone and give him your camera roll.
He swipes for a while, he’s biting his lip, his eyes bloodshot.
“He looks just like me,” he whispers a broken whisper and sits back down.
“I know,” you can hardly speak.
“How long have you known he was mine?” He doesn’t sound angry, just… sad.
“I’ve suspected it for a while, he started talking a year ago and… he’s just so smart. Sickeningly so…”
“He could talk at 1?”
“Spencer he can read books and do math at 2 and a half. I could kid myself on his looks for the first year or so of his life but…” you grab his hand and squeeze. “I’m so sorry.”
“Why did you leave? Why didn’t you tell me you were pregnant?” He asks and looks up at you.
“Because… you had just lost Maeve and there was a chance that the baby wouldn’t be yours and I didn’t want to make things harder on you,” you sniffle.
He rubs at his eye like he used to do when he got a headache.
“Why tell me now?” He asks.
“He asks about his daddy. And now that I know for a fact who that is… you deserve to know.”
“Daddy,” he whispers and his voice cracks as he looks at a photo of Roman as a baby baby.
“He’s even wearing…” he points at the picture.
Tumblr media
“My sister was trying to make a point,” you smile softly.
He laughs a little at that.
“Do you want to meet him? You don’t have to. You never have to…”
“Of course I do,” he stops you.
“I don’t want anything from you. That’s not why I’m telling you this,” you assure him. “You can be as involved or not involved as you want.”
“Y/N, he’s my son. I want him to know me and I want to know him,” now he’s squeezing your hand. You nod, you’re relieved.
——
“Okay, are you ready?” You ask your son the next day.
“Yes!” He holds up his toy train that he brought his dad to the park.
You spot Spencer at a picnic table in the shade and pick up your son. The wind blows his hair around as you approach. Spencer stands, his eyes lighting up as he beholds Roman.
“Spencer Reid, this is Roman Jacob Reid,” you say proudly.
“Hi,” he smiles and waves at Roman who you stand on the table.
“I got you a train. It has my name on it, see. R-O-M-A-N,” he points at the letters. Spencer lets out an amazed huff and takes the red engine.
“It’s perfect!” He exaggerates.
“I’m changing his last name tomorrow,” you whisper to Spencer. “If that’s okay.”
“That would be amazing,” he smiles down at you.
“Okay stand back,” Roman pushes Spencer away from the table. “I’m going to show mommy that you’re strong because I’m strong and if I’m a superhero you’re a superhero!”
Spencer glances at you and has no idea what he means but then Roman jumps off of the table towards Spencer in a giant leap with a howling laugh. Spencer doesn’t miss a beat and catches him swiftly with the biggest smile of his face.
“See mommy! Strong! Now I know he’s my daddy for sure!” Roman exclaims.
“Romi be gentle with him,” you warn.
“Romi,” Spencer whispers as he tries out the nickname.
“Mommy says you’re a special agent, are you a spy? Like double oh seven?” Roman asks absentmindedly as he places the train into Spencer’s shoulder and moves it back and forth. He’s sitting on the table in front of his dad who looks like the world just fell in his lap. Your heart feels so full.
“Maybe, what do you know about 007?” He grins at his son.
“Some stuff,” he shrugs.
“I do know magic,” Spencer informs him.
“But magic isn’t real!” Roman swats his dad’s chest.
“No?” Spencer pinches Romans ear. “So you always have a quarter in there?”
“Woah!” Roman stands on the table in awe. “Do it again!”
“What about this? Is this yours?” He reaches towards his other ear and brings out a lollipop.
“It is now,” he giggles and snatches it. “Thank you,” he hugs Spencer around the neck.
Spencer looks at you and you’ve never seen him like this. He seems content, amazed, like he’s finally found a puzzle he can’t solve. You’re hugging Roman’s stuffed bear to your chest as you watch them.
“Thank you,” Spencer whispers to you and hugs Roman again. “Now let’s go get some ice cream,” Spencer says.
“Uh-oh you said the magic word,” you taunt as Roman squeals in excitement.
“I wanna be on your back,” Roman tells Spencer who obliges. He wraps his arms around Spencer’s neck, his legs around his waist while Spencer supports his legs.
He follows you to the ice cream shop across from the park. You think for the first time in a while, that everything just might be okay.
“Would it be weird for me to thank you?” You ask Spencer.
“Thank me for what?” He asks and licks his ice cream cone. Roman is in your lap, gently picking singular sprinkles off of his ice cream and eating them first. Like always.
“For him,” you hug him gently and kiss his head. Roman doesn’t react, too lost in his ice cream.
“You carried him, birth him, and raised him on your own until now. I should be thanking you. You’re incredible,” he stares into your eyes. Your heart skips a beat and you look away.
“Let’s just say we’re both grateful for him,” you smile. “I never knew, where you stood on children. If you ever wanted them.”
“Children bring such a light into our lives, especially people like us who work in the dark all of the times they remind us of wonder and innocence and show us compassion and patience. In their presence we are given the opportunity to rediscover the joy in simple moments, the thrill of exploration, and the power of unconditional love. I’ve always wanted children,” he explains.
You don’t know why you had any doubts about him.
“Well, they can be trying too,” you look down at your perfect child. “So I hear,” you shrug and both of you laugh.

Exagerado (S.R)
Tumblr media
Plot: Spencer is very interested in Brazilian culture and also in Reader, his co-worker.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x !Fem!Reader
Contents: just really fuffy with bit smut god i love it
Request: ai! imagino mt a reader cantando exagerado pro spencer e ele tp 🤔 e indo atras da tradução 😢😭😢😭 + ele aprendendo português pra surpreender elaaaa n da mtt fofo
A/N: my first request omg i’m really happy and this one is so cute, i’m in love. And please, go listen the song mentioned here in the fic. Hope you like it, love y’all.
It was July. The weather outside was hot and muggy, with the midday sun blazing in the sky. All I could think about was getting a substantial meal—real food, not just any quick snack. In Brazil, lunch is a full spread: rice, beans, salad, steak, and even coffee afterward. When I told Spencer about this, he was utterly fascinated and bombarded me with questions, claiming it was his right as a good friend to know everything about me. Now, we were driving through the city, searching for something more satisfying than the donuts served at the police station, which I wasn’t particularly fond of.
Since Spencer isn’t a fan of driving, I was behind the wheel. Spencer, who specializes in geographic profiling, was effectively my human GPS. He mentioned a Brazilian restaurant on the other side of town and seemed genuinely excited about it, knowing it would help alleviate my homesickness. Yet, despite my nostalgia, I also consider the U.S. my home. As we drove, Spencer insisted on listening to my MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) playlist. Though he might not be genuinely interested in Portuguese, given his expertise in complex languages, I didn’t think it would be too challenging for him. I’d never taught him any Portuguese, though.
We found ourselves stuck in traffic. Glancing over, I saw Spencer staring out the window. Realizing that silence would drive me crazy, I decided to strike up a conversation. "Did you enjoy the playlist?" I asked.
He turned his head toward me and said, "Oh, yes. It’s quite intriguing. Portuguese is such a beautiful language, but with about 260 million speakers worldwide, it's relatively small compared to some other languages." I smiled. I always found it interesting when he spoke about scientific facts. His enthusiasm for detailed information was both captivating and endearing.
"I’m glad you like it. I do too. Why don’t you pick a song for me to sing while we’re stuck in traffic?" I suggested.
He raised an eyebrow. "Y/N, you don’t sing."
I rolled my eyes at his implication that I might be a terrible singer. "Well, Dr., I may not be a professional singer, but that doesn’t mean I can’t sing. Come on, it’s just for fun. I promise my voice isn’t too terrible."
All I heard was his loud laugh. Spencer can be a bit of a pain sometimes, reacting in ways that others might find awkward. He can’t hide his true feelings, and his exaggerated reactions can be quite amusing. Although it can be frustrating, I understand it’s just part of who he is and find it hard to stay mad at him.
"Alright, I’ll pick a song..." he said, scrolling through my Spotify playlist. He stopped when he was almost at the end, his finger hovering over the screen. "...This one. It looks like a good choice." His smile was infectious, and I felt a flutter of excitement. He had chosen a song I particularly liked, one that was close to my heart. I couldn’t wait to start singing it, even though I was a little embarrassed about performing.
I felt a surge of excitement and quickly grabbed the water bottle from the back seat. After taking a refreshing sip, I turned my attention back to Spencer as he selected the song. It was about an impossible love, one of my favorites. To me, it felt as if Cazuza were still around and knew us—he might say that "Exagerado" was a tribute to me and Dr. Reid.
As the first notes of the song began to play, I glanced over and saw Spencer’s gaze locked on me with a hint of amusement. I used the water bottle as a makeshift microphone and gave him a playful wave. Despite blushing and feeling a bit embarrassed, I started to sing, “Amor da minha vida, daqui até a eternidade…” My free hand reached out to hold his right hand as I continued with, “Nossos destinos foram traçados na maternidade…”
I kept singing, trying to stay in tune while he seemed genuinely engaged, following along with the lyrics on my phone. The song's final verse, “Thrown at your feet with a thousand stolen roses. I'm exaggerated, I love an invented love,” perfectly captured the playful, dramatic flair I was embracing.
In the midst of my performance, I was overjoyed to have forgotten about the traffic and the fact that I was singing just for him. When I finished, Spencer applauded, and I thanked him for the private concert. Despite knowing my performance wasn’t flawless, his compliment made me feel appreciated. His charming reaction only added to my contentment.
A few minutes later, the traffic began to clear, and we resumed our journey to the restaurant, the mood uplifted by the shared moment.
                               ━━━━━━━ ⟡ ━━━━━━━
One week later, we were in a different city, dealing with a new case. The team had wrapped up a long and intense week, and we were all eager to return to the hotel and unwind. I was sharing a room with Spencer. The hotel was typical but comfortable—boasting a king-size bed that looked like a cloud, a spacious shower with a rainfall head, and a lovely view of the bustling avenue below, where city lights twinkled like stars.
I was utterly exhausted. I sank onto the bed, feeling the softness envelop me as I let out a sigh of relief. My muscles ached from the week’s strain, and I reveled in the sensation of the plush bedding. Spencer, meanwhile, was methodically setting down his briefcase on the desk. He loosened his tie with deliberate, practiced motions, clearly eager to relax after the day’s work. As I closed my eyes, savoring the rare moment of peace, I heard Spencer’s voice cut through the quiet.
Reluctantly, I opened my eyes to find Spencer gazing at me with a blend of curiosity and nervousness. "Yes, love?" I asked, using one of my favorite nicknames. I always found it endearing how he blushed every time I used it.
He shifted uneasily before speaking. "Do you remember the song you sang in the car last week?" he asked, his voice carrying a hint of hesitation. "I took a moment to look up the English translation of the lyrics, and I was wondering if the plot sounds familiar to you..."
I sat up, intrigued and slightly puzzled. "What do you mean?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as I tried to understand his sudden interest.
He seemed to fidget, leaning against the wall before coming over to sit beside me on the bed. His nervousness was evident. "Well, we've been friends for a long time," he started, his voice unsteady. "And sometimes, when I think about dating someone, you're the only person I can imagine. So, I've kind of... invented this hypothetical love story in my mind where we could be together. It’s been driving me crazy. I even started learning Portuguese to see if I could approach you better and spend more time with you. And, well, I’m already rambling, aren’t I?”
"Sweetheart, it’s alright," I said, trying to keep my tone calm and reassuring. "I’ve imagined something similar with you too, because I really enjoy our time together. You’re incredibly smart and funny, and I even love your magic tricks. Honestly, when I’m with you, I can’t help but think about getting closer and kissing you..." I winced internally as I realized how direct I was being. "Sorry, I didn’t mean to be so blunt. I was just trying to be romantic," I added, covering my face with my hands, feeling a rush of embarrassment.
He gently took my hands away from my face, his gaze softening as he looked at me with affection. "It’s okay, I want to do this with you too," he said quietly. As he spoke, the distance between us seemed to melt away. He leaned in and kissed me—a kiss that was soft yet lingering, filled with unspoken promise. The warmth of his lips on mine was intoxicating.
When we finally parted, I traced my fingers lightly over his face, savoring the closeness. I kissed him again, and then once more, each kiss deeper than the last, as if we were both exploring a new, exciting world together. His lips on mine felt like a dream come true, transporting me to a place of pure bliss.
Then, he began to trail kisses down my neck, each touch sending an electric current through me. His lips were warm and soft, creating a sensation that made my pulse race and my skin tingle. The intimacy of the moment felt all-consuming, a powerful connection that went beyond anything I had ever experienced. Every kiss was a gentle, yet intense reminder of how closely our fates were tied. I could feel it in every fiber of my being, like an undeniable truth that had been there all along.
My breathing grew shallow as the excitement built within me, my body reacting to the gentle pressure of his lips. I felt a deep, primal desire stirring, an urgent need that seemed to echo the profound bond we shared. "Spence, I want you," I whispered, my voice trembling with longing.
He placed one final, tender kiss on my chin, his breath warm against my skin. With a soft, sincere tone, he murmured, “Tudo que você quiser, meu amor (Anything you want, my love).” The promise in his words only heightened the intensity of the moment, filling me with a sense of anticipation and a deep, consuming desire.

OK GUYS A POST FROM @radiant-reid GAVE ME THIS IDEA AND I REALLY WANTED TO CHECK AND SEE IF IT WORKS
It does! If you go to an AI bot and ask it to write something for you it will! Im only gunna use this bot for art ideas and maybe for promt ideas too. But in this case I did an experiment for some Spencer Reid fan fiction. Should I make this a series? And see what the bot makes for some well liked characters?
(Spencer Reid X Reader)

Title: A Chance Encounter
Spencer Reid was sitting in a coffee shop, lost in thought, when he heard a soft voice say, "Excuse me, is this seat taken?"
He looked up and saw a woman standing in front of him, holding a cup of coffee. She was standing there shyly, and her eyes sparkled with intelligence and warmth. Spencer couldn't help but be captivated by her beauty.
"No, it's not taken," he said, gesturing to the empty seat across from him.
The woman sat down and smiled at him. "Thanks. My name is Y/n," she said, extending her hand.
"Spencer," he replied, shaking her hand.
They struck up a conversation, and Spencer bc found that he enjoyed talking to Y/n. She was smart, funny, and had an insatiable curiosity about the world. As they talked, Spencer felt a connection forming between them, and he realized that he was beginning to develop feelings for her.
Over the next few weeks, Spencer and Y/n continued to meet at the coffee shop. They talked about everything from literature to science, and Spencer found himself looking forward to their meetings. He wanted to tell her how he felt, but he was afraid of ruining their friendship.
One day, as they were walking out of the coffee shop, Spencer mustered up the courage to ask her out on a date. "Y/n, I know we've been meeting here for a while, and I really enjoy your company. Would you like to go out on a date with me?"
Y/n smiled and replied, "I'd love to, Spencer."
Their first date was at a museum, where they explored the exhibits and talked about their favorite paintings and sculptures. Spencer felt like he had finally found someone who understood him, and he knew that he wanted to be with Y/n for a long time.
As their relationship progressed, Spencer and Y/n faced challenges, but they worked through them together. They supported each other through their personal and professional struggles and grew closer every day.
Years later, as they sat in the same coffee shop where they had first met, Spencer looked at Y/n and said, "I'm so glad that I met you that day. You've changed my life in so many ways, and I can't imagine living without you."
Y/n smiled and replied, "I feel the same way, Spencer. You've brought so much joy and happiness into my life, and I'm grateful for every moment we've spent together."
And as they held hands and looked into each other's eyes, Spencer knew that he had found the love of his life in Y/n.

A/N; I dont want this to be me just using AI to get some like on tumblr so if I do make this a series Ill edit it and add my twist to it. AI is getting dangerous for artists and writers and a lot more people, all because its just a robot creating things for free for someone to use and I dont want me to ‘capitalize’ off of it. As a Artist and a Writer, Im kinda worried for my un-forsaken future because of this thing.

So I apologies if I missed something, but I had a crazy weekend and was light on social media. A few days ago there were some posts that mentioned Noah had dropped a new album of piano instrumentals, but since then I've heard/seen nothing. Did it wind up being a different Noah Reid or something? I even checked the Noah tag and can't find anything, so maybe I just hallucinated it?
Heh. There was great conversation and speculation across the interwebs. There is a collection of instrumental music on Amazon Music that is credited to a Noah Reid. Is it a real person? Is it an AI hallucination? Unclear. But we do have confirmation that it's not THE Noah Reid.
Given Noah's last minute promotion of everything, it's entirely possible that one day he'll drop an entire album and just never tell us about it, but today is not that day.

Analogue Intelligence: A portrait of the Glasgow School of Art through its waste.
Gareth Donaldson, Winner Sustainability Degree Show Prize 2024
I began this project by exploring waste streams in and around Glasgow in the hope of finding usable waste materials which would uncover design opportunities. My focus was to address issues of unnecessary waste and mass consumption with an aim to reshape the public perception of waste. The project challenges planetary degradation, planned obsolescence and materiality, with the purpose of contributing to circular design thinking.
By conducting primary research in the Southside of Glasgow, I hoped to gain an insight into my project direction. Interviewing people from industry as well as community interest groups I looked to shed light on waste production and consumption. I discovered that all of the community focused groups already considered their waste streams and understood the importance of mutually-beneficial relationships. As for the manufacturers and wholesalers, they didn’t seem interested in talking with me. I realised that Glasgow’s waste was too big a problem to tackle, so I decided to focus on more local waste streams.
Through the conversations around circularity and symbiosis in a real-world setting, I switched my focus to tackling the waste streams within the art school - specifically the workshops. I interviewed TSD staff to find out how waste is dealt with.
The only requirements from GSA are that general waste, paper recycling and some specialist waste must be disposed of correctly. On top of this, workshops do everything within their means to pass waste onto the relevant waste management specialists, although the outcome of said waste is unknown. Additionally, students require virgin materials because of their accessibility of use, time and cost. ‘Waste’ materials require extra work and are harder to use. Moreover, students aren’t really aware of what free materials are available.
I saw an opportunity to design a system for the art school, which connects usable waste streams between workshops and students. I also designed a series of artefacts to demonstrate how waste materials could be utilised for projects and to provide a social commentary on the pay-to-win mentality at GSA.
It was paramount that I set out parameters for myself to ensure I upheld my own beliefs and didn’t perpetuate the problem, these were: no cost, GSA specific, no monstrous hybrids and minimal machining.
As well as providing a culture for using waste, my project was intended to be a fully circular making methodology. I ensured that I demonstrated product impermanence and material reconstitution by showcasing artefacts broken down into their materials, in hopes of illustrating a circular design ethos in my making.
I named my project analogue intelligence. The project is about the value of play and tacit knowledge, which is antithetical to artificial intelligence - this antithesis inspired my redefinition of AI. The collective knowledge and the very human experience interwoven into the fabric of this project was something I did not want to shy away from.
Analogue intelligence is a culture of circular making at the GSA. The system takes the form of a booklet and waste map which highlight the opportunities for resource sharing: encouraging discussion about product impermanence and material accountability. Each artefact I designed symbolises a facet of the GSA. I made an art piece, a lamp and a workshop stool, all from waste sourced within the art school. The three artefacts represent the art, design and workshop departments and signify beauty and abundance in waste. My parameters guided the design of all elements of this project, waste materials cost nothing and I ensured that I made everything by hand, without creating monstrous hybrids.
Analogue intelligence is also a yearly exhibition held in the Reid void space, showcasing artefacts made from waste that prioritise play and creativity. The exhibition is concluded in a dismantling ceremony where participants de-construct their work and return materials to the waste hubs.
Upon returning to the stakeholders of the project, they all noted the invaluable service it offers and could see it being a part of GSA’s legacy, so much so that they offered me the opportunity to take the project to completion. It is something John Ayers said was “in the works to be done within the next year”. Perhaps this project lives on in the form of a new role within the GSA - a sort of circular maker and student advisor, educating through play, making and waste consciousness - one that tows the line between the technical support and sustainability departments. This is a role I would love to take on myself should the opportunity arise.
In closing, this project has been an invaluable learning experience. Not only is it a topic which has long interested me, but one that I’ve come to appreciate so much more. I have realised there is so much nuance in waste that I had not previously known. Aspects such as the value of play are often forgotten in the formulaic setting of academia. This project can highlight their importance and impact how design is taught. I have always been told: let the design guide the material choices. Maybe, this is not always the answer. Perhaps the materials available to us and in abundance, including waste materials, should be guiding our future designs.
In an ideal world, this project could become a framework that is implemented into other art schools or even further its legacy into the wider realm of creative practice.

Under the AI Hood
Tumblr media
OpenAI
Just as we were all surprised by ChatGPT-4o, OpenAI launched ChatGPT Edu, the academic version of its popular Large Language Model (LLM) series.
ChatGPT Edu enables access to ChatGPT-4o (academically), giving users access to text capabilities, math, and coding. Additionally, users can access the web and have increased capacities than ChatGPT’s free version.
Similarly, Big Four behemoth PwC announced its integration with ChatGPT Enterprise. Also, PwC is the largest user of the model.
Meta/Microsoft/Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)/Broadcom/Nvidia
The industry landscape changed (massively) with the introduction of a new standard from Meta, Microsoft, AMD, and Broadcom (Ultra Accelerator Link). Ultra Accelerator Link is a new standard for AI data centers that challenges Nvidia’s edge in the sector. According to a May 30 Reuters report, the (new) effort establishes open communications between AI accelerators.
Furthermore, other firms involved include Alphabet, Intel, Cisco Systems, and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.
Google
The ongoing issues with Google AI overviews in search results came to a head. In a May 30 post by the Vice President of Google Search, Liz Reid, the tech giant iterated that things were not as outlandish as the claims on social media platforms made them out to be.
Reid indicated that after rigorous testing, there were a few odd results for “uncommon queries” and that their ecosystems had “information gaps.”
Industry Dive
Meta/WhatsApp
Mobile messaging platform WhatsApp announced the development of new AI image generation features. The new tools are (reportedly) under development and will (soon) be available to everyone.
Similarly, on May 29, Meta revealed its identification of deceptive AI-generated content on Facebook and Instagram in the current Israel-Gaza conflict.
Perplexity AI
Industry unicorn Perplexity AI upped its AI game with a new feature that converts user search queries into shareable web pages. The feature is available for free and paid users on its Arc Search app, and AI text prompts power the conversions.
The US Department of Commerce
The China-America AI spat reached new highs with reports of new US AI chip restrictions. According to a May 30 Bloomberg report, American authorities have (significantly) reduced the issuance rate of AI chip export licenses from chipmakers to Gulf countries, citing Chinese access to Middle Eastern markets.
Additionally, the American Federal Government is (reportedly) conducting a national security regional review per AI.
Everything Else
The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH)
Alarmingly, across the pond in the United Kingdom, the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) unearthed results from an experiment involving safeguards using AI voice cloning tools.
In the experiment, the CCDH tested six voice cloning tools to create false content of several leaders, including Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Labor Party chief Sir Keir Starmer.
Additionally, (eighty percent) of the content (reportedly) looked convincing. Only one of the tool’s safeguards remained impenetrable, and the team circumvented others.
Fable Studio
Interestingly, South African-based Fable Studio demonstrated its ability to create content with two series produced by its (new) Showrunner app that allows users to (automatically) create content.
Tumblr media
Sony Pictures
Similarly, on May 30, at an investor conference in Japan, Sony Pictures Chief Tony Vinciquerra revealed the Hollywood giant’s shift to AI-generated content to cut costs.
The move follows back-and-forth industry conversations on the use of AI in the movie industry.
Following the Money
The People’s Republic of China
On the other hand, China’s ambitions for AI dominance grew even bolder with the launch of a $47.5 billion chip fund.
According to a May 29 CNBC report, the new fund will (expectedly) focus on local chip manufacturers with the current (ongoing) issues.
Atropos Health
Tumblr media
Exactly.ai
We move across the pond to the United Kingdom, where AI-powered illustration platform Exactly.ai raised $4.3 million in seed funding. Additionally, Speedinvest led the round alongside GuruDev Capital, Cornerstone VC, and InReach Ventures.

In June 2023, Inflection announced it had raised $1.3 billion to build what it called "more personal AI." The lead investor was Microsoft. Today, less than a year later, Microsoft announced that it was feasting on Inflection's body and sucking the marrow from the bones (though I think they phrased it differently). Co-founders Mustafa Suleyman and Karén Simonyan will go to Microsoft, where the former will head up the newly formed Microsoft AI division, along with "several members" of their team as Microsoft put it — or "most of the staff," as Bloomberg reports it. Reid Hoffman will stay behind with new CEO Sean White to try to salvage what's left of the company, which, I feel I have to repeat, raised $1.3 billion dollars nine months ago and $225 million in mid-2022. Inflection's thesis was a conversational AI that you could talk to normally via multiple platforms, and which remembered you and previous conversations, making it more personal and useful. A lovely idea, but Pi, their AI, never really got close. It was fine, but even with all that money they couldn't keep up with the rapid advances in capabilities and services being offered by OpenAI (which Microsoft, hedging its bets, also backs), Google's Gemini (which has the home field advantage in search) and Anthropic (which made its play for safe, boring applications at which AI can excel).
After raising $1.3B, Inflection is eaten alive by its biggest investor, Microsoft

Tested New AI Chatbot PI AI (ChatGPT Rival) – First Impressions
youtube
ChatGPT, Google Bard, and Bing Char Rivel Pi launches on Android
The new AI chatbot ‘Pi’ is now available on Android. Pi AI is an artificial intelligence chatbot by Inflection AI, which was founded by Mustafa Suleyman (co-founder of Google DeepMind), Karén Simonyan (chief scientist of the project) and Reid Hoffman (co-founder of LinkedIn). Pi is available in 35 countries as of the writing of this article.
As someone who has tested both Google Bard and ChatGPT, I was curious to see how Pi stacks up. I found Pi to be friendlier and easier to chat with than its competitors. It kept the chat going with follow-up questions – not just ending the conversation.
There were several male and 2 female voices. I picked a female voice with a British accent. While replying, Pi doesn’t show the answers on screen, rather it displays a sort of relaxing ambience to make you feel comfortable. Sometimes I liked it, but other times I wanted to see the answers on screen.
In terms of Pi's intelligence and overall performance, sometimes it missed my questions and answered very different things. But most of the time the answers were relevant and accurate.
Google Bard is powerful and informative, but can be a bit dry and academic at times, which can make it feel less personable. Also, it is currently desktop focused and can be cumbersome to use on mobile devices.
ChatGPT is a creative writing powerhouse, but can be prone to factual errors. ChatGPT is not always accurate and can sometimes generate factually incorrect information.
I'm impressed with Pi AI and believe it has the potential to be a game changer. It's friendly, mobile-first, and has a lot of potential. However, it's still under development and needs some work before it can compete with the likes of Bard and ChatGPT.

Adult film star Riley Reid launches Clona.AI, a sexting chatbot platform
Tumblr media
Adult film icon and media investor Riley Reid aims to bring the transformational capabilities of generative AI to adult entertainment with an online platform where users can chat with digital versions of content creators. But unlike other, scuzzier adult chatbots, Clona.AI’s avatars are trained with explicit consent of the models’ creators who have direct input in what the “AI companions” will, and won’t, talk about. For $30 a month, fans and subscribers will be able to hold “intimate conversations” with digital versions of their favorite adult stars, content creators and influencers. The site’s roster currently includes Reid herself and Lena the Plug. A free tier is also available but offers just five chat messages per month. “The reality is, AI is coming, and if it's not Clona, it’s somebody else,” Reid told 404 Media. “When use deepfakes or whatever — if I'm not partnering up with it, then someone else is going to steal my likeness and do it without me. So being presented with this opportunity, I was so excited because I felt like I had a chance to be a part of society's technological advances.” Clona uses Meta’s Llama 2 large language model as a base, then heavily refines and retrains it to reflect the personality of the person it’s based on. Reid explains that her model was first trained on a variety of her online media including interviews, podcast appearances and YouTube videos (in addition to some of her x-rated work) before further fine tuning its response by having the AI chat with Reid herself. “I’ll be able to see how it responds to users, and edit it to be like ‘no, I would have said it more like this,’’’ Reid said. “But in the beginning my focus was on things like making sure it had my dogs’ names right, making sure I was fact-checking it.” While the AI companion will be capable talking dirty, how dirty that gets depends on the actor’s preferences, not the user’s. Reid notes that her model, for example, will not discuss physically dangerous sex acts with users. "I don't know if the tech team thought about the sounding guys, but I was like, I thought about them,” she said. Generative AI technology has shown tremendous potential in creating digital clones of deceased celebrities and recording artists. The process requires little more than the celeb’s permission (or that of their estate) and a sufficiently large corpus of their vocal or video recordings. However, we’ve already also seen that technology be misused in deepfake pornography and shady dental advertising. Unscrupulous data scraping practices on the public web (data which is then used to train LLMs) has also raised difficult questions regarding modern copyright laws, copyright infringement and Grammy award eligibility. Still, Reid remains optimistic about the historically proven resilience of the sex industry. “I feel like we're gonna be a huge part of AI adapting into our society, because porn is always like that,” Reid said. “It’s what it did with the internet. And the porn world has seen so many advances in technology.” Read the full article
