Chakras and Death Stranding

This text has content that I took from a book of Reiki handouts that my mother has, so the view of Chakras here is from the viewpoint of Reiki practice.

Chakras are round energy centers and in the East they are seen as whirlpools of energy, little cones (funnels) of spinning energy. They are large, shiny and translucent and, in normal human beings, have a diameter of five to ten centimeters, reaching 20 centimeters in diameter in spiritually developed people.

The size of the Chakras varies according to our energy and spiritual development and can vary according to the individual's energy (positive or negative energy). And each Chakra resonates with a color that derives from its vibration frequency. Each one vibrates with a sound or mantra that corresponds to a musical note and also relates to a natural element: earth, water, fire, air and ether.

In the Oriental view, each Chakra is represented by petals like flowers, depending on the complexity of each one. Ancient writings mention that we have up to 88,000 Chakras throughout our bodies, in other words, we have countless energetically sensitive points, but most of them play a secondary role.

But let's just talk about the 7 main Chakras through which the human aura is connected.

The Chakras are responsible for the energy flow in the human body and their main function is to absorb prana, which is the energy coming from the Sun, metabolize it, feed our aura and, finally, emit energy to the outside.

Knowing this, let's talk about Death Stranding, we know that Sam, when he dies in his baby phase, is repatriated by Amelie in his Beach. Amélie "seals" Sam's body with a mark and brings him back to life, causing Sam to gain a peculiar scar and live around without a navel. We're talking about the Umbilical/Sacral Chakra here, and according to the Reiki view this is the second Chakra.

We're going to talk about the other two Chakras that, for me, were also "affected" by the repatriate/shot mark, but let's start with the Umbilical Chakra first.

This chakra is for the propagation of the species, in other words, reproduction. Its correct activity makes us love life. It is the Chakra that concentrates the qualities that have to do with sexuality, curiosity, the creative search for material pleasure, a taste for beautiful things, art, emotions and relationships with other people. This chakra is the seat of fears, ghosts and negative fantasies linked to sexuality and behavior towards another sex. If it malfunctions, it can turn life into a small personal "hell" which ends up being reflected in the people we live with and relate to.

Blockages in this Chakra usually result in physical symptoms such as illnesses related to body fluids (larynx, lymph, saliva, bile). Blockages in the sexual center often result in mental symptoms such as fear of physical proximity and disgust for the body, a mania for cleanliness, incomprehension, a mind that is too focused on reason, an excessive emphasis on impulsive feelings, rhythmic disorders, isolation, frigidity, impotence, lack of sexual appetite, fear of falling.

This Chakra together with the first are important and if they function incorrectly the other Chakras won't be able to function properly either.

I could say that due to the size of the damage caused by the shot, not only the Umbilical/Sacral Chakra was affected, but also the Base Chakra(#1) and the Solar Plexus(#2), because all three are located exactly in the center of our body's balance.

So let's look at a basic summary of the other two Chakras (first and third) to complete the analysis.

It lies between the anus and the sexual organs, on the line of the pelvic girdle. This chakra is open downwards and represents the human being's connection with planet Earth, with the material and physical world. It is linked to our earthly existence, our survival. The more open and elevated this Chakra is, the higher our physical energy (disposition) will be.

Name: Manipura Location: Mouth of stomach Color: Yellow Auric body: Mental Element: Fire Musical note: E Mantra: Ram Number of petals: 10

It represents the personality and concentrates the qualities of the rational and personal mind, vitality, the will to know and learn, the action of power, the desire to live, communicate and participate. It is the point of connection with other people. This Chakra is the one most closely related to our ego and therefore absorbs a lot of energy from the first two Chakras.

In summary, I find it interesting how I could find a little sense in the location of the Chakras in relation to Sam's injury, and in relation to what the mark of the repatriate represents for him. I don't know if Kojima did this consciously, but there is something that makes sense, for sure.

The center of the human body (CORE)

One of the funniest things for me was realizing that they chose Sam, a guy who doesn't have his "center" complete because of a brand. In other words, metaphorically speaking, Sam has no "balance" at all because his center has been "affected", and yet he is the Man Who Delivers, the guy who stacks things and needs to have good balance and core strength to do what he does.

How to "close the body" to negative energy

In my religion we say that if you want to go somewhere or meet someone and you want to protect yourself from any negative energy that the place or someone might inflict on you, you just have to wear an adhesive plaster on your navel, so this symbolic action will protect you from negative energies, because that's where we receive and donate energy, so it's an open field. There is the possibility of something or someone sucking this energy from us consciously or unconsciously, just as we can lose this energy unconsciously too.

This doesn't literally mean having a closed body, because the expression can mean another type of ritual that leads us to literally close the body, something much more complex than just "covering the navel", but technically it can be said that this is closing a door to things that can affect us.

O corpo e a mente são influenciados pela sua energia interior e pela energia de um todo à sua volta, sendo necessário mante-los equilibrados para uma vida feliz e tranquila. Partindo de um conceito que a felicidade é um estado de espírito e não um facto. Apresentamos assim os chakras e o modo de como devemos cuidar de toda esta energia.   CHAKRA DA RAIZ OU MULADHARA Significa: Suporte. Está ligado aos órgãos que dão estrutura ao corpo (osso, músculo, coluna, pernas e pés), além do cóccix (períneo) e glândulas suprarrenais (adrenalina). Cor: Vermelho. Elemento: Terra. Quando em desequilíbrio: estresse, solidão e sensação de insegurança. Você também pode sentir espasmos musculares. Alimentação: Como este é o chakra da nossa “raiz”, que representa nossa fundação/estrutura, procure ingerir as raízes da natureza, como beterraba, alho, gengibre, batatas, nabo, cenoura, cebola, etc. Alimentos vermelhos, a cor que simboliza o chakra, também são importantes para equilibrá-lo. Opte por maçã, tomate, romã, morango e cereja. Carne vermelha para aqueles que não são vegetarianos são ótimas para balancear esse chakra também.   CHAKRA SEXUAL OU SACRO - SWADHISTHANA Significado: Cidade do prazer. Está relacionado às gônadas (ovários e testículos), à sexualidade, à energia feminina, procriação, ao baixo ventre e criação de projetos. Cor: Laranja Elemento: Água. Quando em desequilíbrio: Impotência, desânimo, incapacidade de se fazer entender pelos outros. Você também pode sentir dores na lombar, alterações de ciclos menstruais, infecções urinárias ou de rins. Alimentação: Seu elemento é a água, então água pura é o melhor que você pode dar ao corpo para equilibrar esse chakra. Porém, também pode aumentar a hidratação com chás e sopas/caldos. Salmão, sésamo, sementes de abóbora e girassol contém gorduras boas que nutrem esse chakra. E os alimentos laranjas, já que a cor do chakra está ligada aos alimentos que o equilibram. Então coma cenoura, laranja, abóbora, manga, pêssego e mamão.   CHAKRA DO PLEXO SOLAR OU UMBILICAL - MANIPURA Significado: Cidade das joias. Representa o corpo mental, está ligado ao pâncreas, emoções densas (raiva, tristeza, medo, ansiedade, angústia), e a auto estima, transforma energia bruta em ação. Cor: Amarelo Elemento: Fogo. Quando em desequilíbrio: O Manipura desequilibrado pode gerar sensação de vergonha, baixa autoestima e falta de confiança em si mesmo. Você também pode ter complicações gastrointestinais como má digestão e gastrite. Alimentação: Alimentos amarelos como abacaxi, pimento amarelo, milho, melão e banana. Para o equilibrar, evite açúcar, farinha branca e alimentos muito processados, que são digeridos rapidamente, pois é um chakra que trabalha na transformação de energia, ou seja, precisa de alimentos complexos, como leguminosas (grão de bico, lentilhas e feijões) e cereais integrais (aveia, arroz integral, centeio) que são metabolizados mais lentamente e mantém a energia por mais tempo. Aposte em temperos como gengibre, curcuma e canela que são anti-inflamatórios e aquecem o corpo, energizando o Manipura chakra.   CHAKRA CARDÍACO - ANAHATA Significado: Câmara secreta do coração. Localizado no centro do peito, coração, está ligado à glândula timo, ao pulmão, ao amor e relações interpessoais. Relacionado ao equilíbrio, compaixão e sistema imunitário. Representa o corpo astral. Cor: Verde Elemento: Ar Quando em desequilíbrio: Depressão, angústia, taquicardia, irritação. Você pode sentir dores no peito, ter alterações na pressão arterial e dificuldade na respiração. Alimentação: Apostar nos alimentos verdes, da cor do chakra é sempre uma boa ideia. Invista em couve, alface, espinafre, brócolos, couve flor, acelga, kiwi e ervilha. Algas como a espirulina também são ótimas. Além de ervas como orégão, manjericão, alecrim e coentro.   CHAKRA LARÍNGEO - VISHUDHA Significado: Purificador do sangue. Está ligado às glândulas tireoide e paratireoide (Filtrar sangue e regular ciclos menstruais). Localizado na garganta, está relacionado à comunicação, expressão, voz, autenticidade, concretização. Cuida da boca, garganta e vias respiratórias. Cor: Azul celeste Elemento: Ar Quando em desequilíbrio: Com o Vishuddha desequilibrado, você pode sentir-se incapaz de tomar decisões, dores no pescoço, tosse, dor de garganta e gengivite. Alimentação: mirtilos e amoras são os alimentos que mais se assemelham a cor desse chakra, mas as frutas de árvores que são “verdadeiras às suas essências” (caem da árvore quando maduras) como maçã, pêssego, pera, damasco e ameixa, por exemplo, também fortalecem Vishuddha. Alimentação mais líquida como sopas, sumos e chás também são ótimas para esse chakra.   CHAKRA FRONTAL - AJÑA Significado: Centro de controle, 3º olho. Localizado na testa, entre as sobrancelhas, está relacionado à glândula pituitária ou hipófise. Cuida do lobo frontal, representa nossa lógica, ideias, raciocínio, aprendizagem, intuição. Também está ligado à saúde de olhos e nariz. Cor: Azul índigo Elemento: Todos. Quando em desequilíbrio: falta de foco, sinusite, dor de cabeça, confusão mental, até problemas psíquicos. Quando Ajna está desequilibrado você pode sentir dificuldade de se conectar com seu lado espiritual e de pegar no sono. Alimentação: framboesa, uva roxa, amora, jabuticaba e mirtilo. Alimentos ricos em ômega 3, nutriente para o cérebro, como salmão, sardinha, linhaça, chia e nozes são excelentes para esse chakra.   CHAKRA CORONÁRIO - SAHASRARA Significado: Lótus das mil pétalas. Localizado no topo da cabeça, está ligado à glândula pineal ou epífise. Energiza o cérebro, e está relacionado à consciência e a produção de serotonina (sono, apetite, humor), além da nossa porção espiritual, fé e evolução. Cor: Violeta Elemento: Todos. Quando em desequilíbrio: problemas neurológicos, falta de fé, fobias, depressão e tendências suicidas. Sahashara chakra é muito espiritual e pode ser melhor equilibrado com outros tipos de terapias. Alinhamento de chakras: o que é e como fazer ?

Os chakras são centros energéticos distribuídos pelo corpo, originários das escrituras sagradas do hinduísmo – a palavra chakra significa “roda” em sânscrito e, não à toa, eles estão em constante movimento. Sua comunicação se dá por canais condutores, chamados Nadis, por onde passa nossa energia vital.

De acordo com a terapeuta holística Simone Kobayashi, eles representam nossos “centros magnéticos vitais, que fazem parte da natureza sutil do ser humano”, e por isso, exercem tanta influência sobre a saúde e o comportamento.

O corpo, em suas diversas facetas – isto é, física, emocional, espiritual e mental – está sob responsabilidade dos chakras. De acordo com os textos védicos, sagrados no hinduísmo, existem mais de 80 mil desses centros energéticos localizados em nossa geografia, trabalhando diariamente para o garantir a manutenção da casa (que é você). Os mais importantes, no entanto, são sete, que estão localizados ao longo da coluna vertebral. Cada um tem uma área de atuação específica, e o conjunto contempla as sete principais glândulas do sistema endócrino, entre outros componentes da estrutura humana.

Para que haja harmonia entre as funções do corpo, é preciso que os chakras estejam alinhados. O equilíbrio de cada ponto vital pode ser trabalhado por meio de diversas técnicas, não necessariamente vinculadas ao hinduísmo. Entre elas, o reiki, a meditação, a terapia com cristais e a cromoterapia. Podemos equilibrá-los sozinhos ou coletivamente; à distância – alguns centros especializados propõem consultas virtuais e tratamentos por meio de visualizações criativas, com mandalas e cores – ou na presença de um terapeuta. Tudo vai depender da linha adotada e do tratamento com o qual cada um se identifica. Cada chakra tem sua pedra, cor e mantra, o que facilita o exercício da harmonização.

Mas atenção: apesar de ser possível estabelecer contato com os chakras no conforto de seu lar, essa não é uma atividade (totalmente) para amadores.

De acordo com Simone Kobayashi, “não é arriscado ou perigoso quando se busca mais conhecimento e aprofundamento.[Mas] também é importante salientar que normalmente temos uma visão pouco clara de nós mesmos, o que nos faz achar que [o problema] é ‘isso’ ou ‘aquilo’ e podemos estar errados. Por isso, uma análise energética [com um profissional] é a melhor forma de buscar onde precisamos harmonizar, energizar, equilibrar ou limpar.” Mas ela garante: “despertar e ativar sucessivamente cada um dos chakras é abrir as portas para um novo mundo, o do autoconhecimento.”

De cor vermelha, o chakra básico tem como elemento principal a terra. Ele é responsável pela manutenção da vitalidade, disposição e conexão com o mundo material. Está localizado na região do períneo. Quando desalinhado, pode causar alienação, falta de ânimo ou excesso de apego ao mundo material.

CHAKRA SACRO – Svadhisthana

O chakra sacro fica localizado na região pubiana, é responsável pela manutenção de nosso sistema reprodutor. Ele exerce poder sobre a fertilidade, os impulsos sexuais e também sobre nossa capacidade criativa. Boas ideias são impulsionadas pelo chakra sacro. Sua cor é laranja.

CHAKRA UMBILICAL – Manipura

Fica a três centímetros do umbigo e está intimamente ligado ao sistema digestório, em especial ao pâncreas. Seu elemento é o fogo. É nele também onde se concentra a energia do poder pessoal, da comunicação entre mente e corpo físico. Por ser central, também desenvolve um papel importante na distribuição de energia pelo corpo. Quando desalinhado, pode tornar a pessoa narcisista ou, ao contrário, muito insegura.

CHAKRA CARDÍACO – Anahata

O chakra cardíaco é responsável por fornecer energia ao sistema circulatório e cardiorrespiratório. Também está relacionado à glândula timo, que é componente do sistema imunológico. No campo comportamental, tem a função de reger relações afetivas e sentimentos. Quando desalinhado, pode causar tanto problemas emocionais quanto cardíacos ou imunológicos. Alegria fortalece o chakra cardíaco. E atenção: sua cor é verde, não vermelho.

CHAKRA LARÍNGEO – Vishuddha

É o chakra azul. Fica próximo à garganta e comanda as funções da tireóide. Está relacionado à nossa capacidade de expressão, corporal e verbal. Portanto, quando desalinhado, pode gerar dificuldade na comunicação, insegurança ou problemas na faringe, laringe e nos demais componentes da região.

CHAKRA FRONTAL – Ajna

Pode ser representado em azul ou branco e está localizado na parte superior do rosto. É responsável pelo sistema nervoso e está relacionado também à visão. O chakra frontal, conhecido também como chakra do conhecimento, tem a ver tanto com a nossa capacidade de enxergar o mundo material quanto com a intuição e o sentimento. Em equilíbrio, pode gerar bons frutos, como a concentração e a capacidade de raciocinar com clareza.

De cor violeta, o chakra coronário está no topo da cabeça. Responde à nossa conexão com o mundo espiritual, com as energias do universo e também com o cérebro e a consciência.

Chakra Svadhisthana (umbilical) - As ligações emocionais

A vida afetada pelo desequilibrio

O primeiro sintoma que o seu Chakra Umbilical está desequilibrado em geral é a falta de vitalidade, animo e tesão pela vida.

Talvez você possa se encontrar lutando para ter vontade de trabalhar, trabalhando muito sem nenhum reconhecimento, ou sentindo que a vida não é nada mais que um martírio e com a vida sexual em desequilíbrio.

Sua habilidade de ser espontâneo, de sentir alegria, aproveitar a vida levemente foi extinta sem mais nem menos, isso acontece quando o Chakra Umbilical está doente, fraco, fechado ou desequilibrado.

Outro notável sinal de que seu Chakra Umbilical está bloqueado é quando as pessoas a sua volta estão constantemente te dizendo que você só reclama e que você não está expressando, principalmente suas emoções. Se você foi vítima de abuso sexual ou emocional em sua vida é bem possível que esse Chakra esteja bloqueado e necessita de atenção.

Esses não são os únicos caminhos que o Chakra Umbilical se bloqueia, não escutar sua intuição ou honrar sua alma e criatividade pode causar esses bloqueios também.

Sintomas adicionais de desequilíbrio incluem problemas para confiar, reagir de forma emocionalmente volátil, culpa em torno de questões sexuais (sexualidade desenfreada, isenta de sentimentos ou sexualidade reprimida, desvios sexuais, rejeição a tudo que represente o “novo”, medo, principalmente da proximidade física, frigidez, impotência, etc...), sensação tímida ou retraída, problemas de auto estima hipersensibilidade ao seu ambiente. E, fisicamente, cólicas renais, cistite, desequilíbrios hormonais, problemas circulatórios, problemas na bexiga e no aparelho reprodutor e urinário, em geral.

Resumidamente, o bloqueio desse Chakra nos causa um sentimento de desconexão com os outros ou responder de um modo frio ou sem sentimentos.

O equilíbrio do Chakra Umbilical

Sendo o centro das nossas emoções, o Chakra Umbilical equilibrado nos provem uma abundância de energia, uma intuição fortemente percebida, compaixão por outros seres, apetite pela vida e estabilidade emocional.

Com o nosso Chakra Umbilical em equilíbrio vamos perceber que as mudanças que a vida nos proporciona são fáceis de conduzir, a criatividade vai estar a todo vapor e cheia de poder. A vida sexual é saudável e completa.

A vida flue facilmente e nos encontramos ansiosos (no bom sentido) para viver a próxima fase, sentindo o mundo ao nosso redor e encontrando beleza no vida!

O principal ponto de equilíbrio para o Chakra Umbilical é aprender a confiar em nossa intuição enquanto ao mesmo tempo não permitindo que ajamos controlados por qualquer emoção que sentirmos. É muito fácil de fechar em uma bolha não confiando em ninguém, mas isso só cria um bloqueio em nossas vidas.

Desbloquear essa energia e o Chakra leva tempo, paciência e dedicação. Usando as praticas que citarei abaixo muito rapidamente você conseguira sentir a diferença que esse Chakra aberto pode fazer na sua vida!

Se você puder, sente-se em algum lugar aberto para meditar a luz da lua. A energia lunar pode te ajudar muito a trabalhar as suas emoções.

Exercite seu abdômen com yoga, pilates ou qualquer outra pratica de exercício que você preferir. Cuidar do seu corpo é também cuidar do seu espirito.
