Getting the OH Appendix together and thought I’d share the timelines and fun facts I’ve put together over the course of writing the story.
I know there was some questions about the timeline and this is the one I put together to help myself out from chapter to chapter. (note: this probably isn’t without plot holes somewhere, so nothing is set in stone, and don’t be surprised if something changes like a birth year or anything like that)
Purposefully leaving the detailed Spring Break 1986 Timeline out as ehem… *spoilers* 😏
Main Timeline:

Happy Birthday Scottish singer songwriter Justin Currie.
Born Justin Robert Currie 11th December 1964 in Glasgow, Justin is best known as a founding member of the band Del Amitri and, along with Iain Harvie, is one of only two members of the group to be present throughout its entire existence, he is the son of John Currie, who was chorusmaster for the Scottish National Orchestra from 1965 to 1984 and music director of the Los Angeles Chorale from 1986 to 1991.
Del Amitri released six full-length records between 1982 and 2002 and had several top 40 hits including Kiss this thing Goodbye, The Last to know and Nothing ever happens, as well as being the last act to record a Scotland World Cup tune, the pragmatic Don’t come home too soon, which as usual we did!
Although they never officially split up Currie embarked on a solo career which although was critically acclaimed never bore any commercial fruit. The band however got back together in 2013 for a UK tour which included playing to 8,000 people at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro. Currie later continued on his own releasing his fourth album, This Is My Kingdom Now in 2017.
Speaking about the pandemic, Justin and Del Amitri had like many others, had to cancel gigs;
“Five months in, I realised that was the longest I’d not been on a stage since I was 15, So, you start thinking, are you going to lose the brass neck to go on a stage and believe you belong there?”
And on their return to the stage;
“The first night [a gig in Edinburgh] was a total car crash, but the audience seemed to carry us through it. The audience was vibrating at a high frequency.”
Thee band released their 6th album in 2021, Fatal Mistakes, which landed them a top-five place on the UK album charts, they toured after the restrictions eased at the “end” of the pandemic, The tour included six dates in Australia and one in New Zealand in February 2023. Recently Justin was at the Usher Hall on St Andrews Day supporting Blazing Fiddles.

[ BACKGROUND ! ]
TAKAHASHI KAORI was born on february 9th, 1995 in aoyama, tokyo, japan. born into a wealthy family, she was the first and only child of TAKAHASHI HIDEHIKO and NAKAMURA MAMIKO. her father is a businessman, while her mother is a socialite, designer, and former idol—having been a member of shōwa era girl group ONYANKO CLUB from 1985 until 1987, and having her own short lived solo career until 1991.
originally a competitive roller skater, kaori took an interest in music through her mother, who would play kayōkyoku throughout the house. kaori would dance to more modern j-pop songs with her mother, and took up choir at her school for fun. she would discover k-pop shortly after, and would begin posting dance covers to YOUTUBE in 2008. prior to that, in 2004, kaori’s life drastically changed, as her parents were forced to divorce. her father’s family often expressed disapproval towards their son’s marriage to a woman from a low income family, and tried to unsuccessfully convince hidehiko to divorce mamiko himself in the past. following her parents’ divorce, kaori and her mother were forced to move out of their upper class neighborhood and move into a smaller apartment, and mamiko—who was unable to pay rent on her own—had to take up jobs as a receptionist and kyabajō. kaori was initially allowed to stay with her father, but after a few years, his family was granted permission to cease her visits. kaori wouldn’t see her father in person again until 2012.
in 2006, kaori and her mother moved to new york, as her mother had gotten a higher paying job at HARPER’S BAZAAR magazine. kaori lived in new york for five years, finding work as an actress and model, and continuing to skate in the meantime, before moving back to japan to attend high school—and completely on her own. she would begin modeling for gyaru magazines such as EGG, VIVI, SEVENTEEN, and RANZUKI and for brands such as JSG and DIAMOND LASH, and that same year, she made her debut as an actress, starring in her first big screen film. she would have a supporting role in a j-drama, and the show’s subsequent success caught the attention of AVEX TRAX. kaori accepted their six album contract, and would spend the next year recording her debut album. on DECEMBER 7TH, 2011, her debut single—“TREAT ME (AKACHAN O ATSUKATTE)”—was released.
kaori’s debut was a success, and over the next few years, she would grow to become one of japan’s most successful idols. she would make a successful chinese debut in 2013, and would try her hand at the american market in 2014 with a decently successful album. that same year, she would launch her own clothing brand, JAZZY. in 2018, looking to break into the korean market, avex would send kaori onto PRODUCE 48, hoping to get her into the show’s final group. neither from an AKB group or a korean agency, kaori was an independent trainee with zero training under her belt. despite that, her pre-existing popularity and experience prevailed, giving her a high grade, consistently high rankings, and a center position. unfortunately, she ended up at 13—just one place off from the final spot.
regardless, kaori moved on, releasing a successful album in japan later that year. in 2020, in order to increase her presence in china, she was sent to compete on PRODUCE CAMP 2020. yet again, she ended up at 9th place—failing to make it into the final group. like before, though, she moved on. and in 2023, kaori would return to korea again, signing with JYP ENTERTAINMENT and making her official debut with her album SALTY+SWEET. she has garnered a sizable fanbase in both korea and the united states, and is one of asia’s most WELL KNOWN singers.

Marcel Young
The impeccable career growth of Marcel’s mother -Michel’le Toussaint
Dr. Dre is known to b the music king and was the father of seven kids. Marcel Young was one of them. Marcel’s mother was Michel’le Toussaint's singer and had always preferred to stay out of media attention. Considering this, there isn’t much information available but Dr. Dre seems to be still alive, unlike his sibling Andre Young Jr who passed away at the age of 20 due to a drug overdose.
Marcel Young's early life
born on the 6th of February 1991, in Los Angeles Marcel Young was the son of singer Michel’le and Dr. Dre. He also had over six half-siblings that included Truly, Curtis, La Tanya Danielle Young, Andre, and Bailei Knight who was Surge Knight's daughter. Marcel's parents met in mid 80 and had also worked earlier before they started dating. They got engaged but his father's abusive relationship with his mom caused the end of their marriage. Their marriage was even re-told in the movie called “Surviving Compton”.
Tumblr media
About Marcel mother
Marcel had seen a lot in his childhood. His mom struggled hard for a better living but eventually landed up on drugs and abusive relationships. Michel’le Denise Toussaint was born on the 5th of December 1967 in California USA to David West Jr. She also had a brother Ray West. In the early 90’s Michel’le Toussaint got engaged to Dre.
She always wanted to be single since her childhood. She rather started her career by being a World Class Wreckin’ Cru music group member as the female vocalist. In the popular single by the name “Turn Off the Lights”  Michel’le got popular and then she even got signed up for the Records Easy-E’s Ruthless
She then continued her career as a vocalist for the record which arête many albums. In the year 1989, her debut album was released and produced by her then-husband Dr. Dre which earned them both gold status. The album was a huge hit and gave tough competition to No More Lies”. It was also listed on the second number of Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts
Another album was released in the year 1998 called “Hung Jury”, and since then there was no looking back. In early’s 2010 she was not seen much in the music industry. But again she managed to release her single in 2011 By name of “Freedom to Love”.
Ending note:
Marcel’s mother rose to fame with many of the great releases like Moonlight, and It Still Hurts and also gave a soundtrack for a movie named Surviving Compton. For more details visit: https://marriedbiography.org/what-is-doing-marcel-young-now-michelle-and-dr-dres-son/

PSA Regarding my Anniversary Anthology
Hi all
I have an announcement regarding my Anniversary Anthology series.
As is so often the case, my plans have snowballed and are subject to my obsessive compulsive tendency to get into areas of minutiae.
My original plan regarding the anniversary anthology was to release fics that celebrated the Sailor Stars story arc’s 25th anniversary and the 30th anniversaries of Codename: Sailor V, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, with a particular focus paid to character for whom 2021-2022 would mark their personal 30th anniversaries. This would also have included stories released for birthdays too.*
In other words, I’d have released a fic in March about Sailor Mercury as March 2022 because that would be her 30th anniversary (if you go by publication dates). Then one about Sailor Mars in April for her 30th anniversary, etc.
This presented a few problems.
The first is that the original release date of Sailor Moon Chapter 1 and its publication date isn’t the same. The former is 28 December 1991 and the latter is sometime between the 1st and 6th of February 1992 depending on what source you go by.
The second was that many significant and beloved characters appeared in the first chapter alone; Usagi, Mamoru, Luna, Jadeite, etc.
The third was that there are obviously different versions of Sailor Moon, the manga and the anime merely being the most well known.
The fourth was that 2021-2022 wasn’t simply the dawn of Codename: Sailor V and Sailor Moon, but of the franchise as a whole. I wanted to do stories that celebrated characters and aspects of the series BEYOND just the ‘Dark Kingdom’ storyline.
So I have variously written, plotted or at least intended to write stories that touch upon just about every major character in the series along with some of the core aspects and themes within it. Now you see where the OCD side of this comes in.
Anyway, to that end I thought why not release the bulk of these in January, between 28 December 2021 and 01 February 2022. In other words, between the two debatable dates for Sailor Moon Chapter 1’s debut I would release stories for the franchise as a whole, whilst doing other stories throughout the year to celebrate specific characters like I said above (March for Mercury, April for Mars, etc).
But, as time has gone I realise I have forgotten certain characters to celebrate. For example, at the start of my anthology I did fics about the Starlights and Galaxia, releasing them around the dates that the first chapter of Stars was published.
However, not only were these about the anime rather than the manga versions, but I also wholly neglected to do anything for ChibiChibi, the Sailor Animamates and barely acknowledged Princess Kakuyuu.
Moreover, I kept feeling like I should do fics about more characters, more aspects of the franchise and even specific versions. E.g. in March I should not only do a Mercury story, but two for her manga and anime counterparts along with two more fics for the anime and manga versions of Beryl too.
Similarly, I felt like, if January was celebrating the franchise as a whole, then even if I’m celebrating stuff later in the year, they should still get acknowledged somehow in January, in effect meaning I would do two stories for each character.
The truth is, if I had planned this out better and had more time and energy maybe I could’ve done ALL this stuff and done it all when I wanted to.
Now though, plans have to change to accommodate real life, other fic commitments and the sheer volume of this anthology.
So, essentially I’m still broadly sticking to my intended schedule. But I am not on my own going to be celebrating literally EVERY character or aspect of Sailor Moon ever.
For example I am not going to have every single romantic relationship acknowledged at some point in one fic or another, not even if I just confined it to stuff supported by canon. Makoto’s love life alone could be multiple fics or one big fic with like 10 pairings within it! Not to mention toxic relationships like Beryl’s affections for Endymion or Demande’s lust for Petz.**
More importantly, rather than January being the ‘Sailor Moon franchise month’ where everything gets acknowledged, I’m at the very least expanding that deadline to at least 30th June 2022.
Not only would this be Usagi’s birthday in her 30th anniversary year, but it is also the day that Japan, Toei, Takeuchi and the fandom as a whole actually annually celebrates the franchise far and wide. And it is set to be the centrepiece of Sailor Moon’s 30th anniversary in 2022.
In addition, many major media franchises celebrate anniversaries throughout the ‘anniversary year’ and even release major events that pay tribute or mark the anniversary after the anniversary itself has come and gone.
For example, ‘The Time of the Doctor’ was a Doctor Who episode released over a month after Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary in 2013 but addressed a major piece of Doctor Who mythology within it. That same year there was little in the way of celebration of the Daleks, the arch villains of the Doctor Who franchise, when their 50th anniversary came and went. Instead they were major players in Doctor Who episodes released shortly before and after their own anniversary (including ‘Time of the Doctor’).
Similarly, the James Bond films ‘Die Another Day’ and ‘Skyfall’ marked the 40th and 50th anniversaries of ‘Dr. No’, the very first James Bond movie from 1962. But they were released a month or more after the specific anniversary date had come and gone.
I already had fics planned throughout the year for specific anniversaries, anyway but I feel it is therefore justifiable to shift many of the fics I have yet to write to later into the year, meaning that the 30th anniversary in effect plays out across the year.
Of course, I do apologise to anyone who feels that this is all a bit of a copout. That if I was going to bother marking this anniversary in multiple ways I should have worked harder to get everything prepped for before the actual 30th anniversary date in February comes and goes. Or indeed that I am skimping out by not acknowledging everything there is to acknowledge, like every character’s birthday or individual fics for each character rather than one fic about multiple characters (like the Outers) or acknowledge every version of each character.
All I can say is that, life has not dealt me a good hand this year and December in particular is going to be a major crunch time for me due to family and work commitments, even aside from the standard Christmas/New Year’s holidays.
Again, I am sorry to anyone who might feel I am copping out with this. I am still going to try and get out as many fics a possible in January but I doubt everything I had planned is going to get done.
In any case, thank you for indulging me and reading along so far. I truly hope you will enjoy what I have coming up.
Take care y’all.
Tumblr media
*Specifically, those of the Usagi, Mamoru and the Inner Senshi as they were the protagonists of the Dark Kingdom arc, so 2021-2022 was their ‘30th anniversary birthdays’.
However, I also did a fic for Setsuna’s birthday meant to represent the Outers as a whole given their importance to Sailor Moon over all. I will be repeating that process for Hotaru’s birthday in 2022.
At the last minute I also included Seiya too as he/she was the leader of the Sailor Starlights so in effect represented.
**Across my fics though pretty much all the seriously major relationships from the series get at least a nod within a fic or two, even if they don’t have dedicated fics in their own right. UsagixMamoru, KunzitexZoisite, ChibiusaxHelios, SeiyaxUsagi, HarukaxMichiru, etc.
Consider these acknowledgements as placeholders or standins for the theme of romantic love within the series as a whole.

Disney characters singing in their native (or close to native) language.
Putting the extensive notes from the vid editor under the cut:
Background information about the characters:
DISCLAIMER Since many of these heroes belong to movies which involve characters included in the official Disney Princesses franchise, they all have an official time and location provided by Disney itself. So, most of the information gathered regarding these characters comes from this official source, find here a video showing the pages of a book from the franchise, where time and location are displayed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVhXIAhol_w&feature=youtu.be However, in a couple of instances (namely Aladdin and Maui), I didn’t follow the official statement, because directors had given different or more specific indications, and since directors are the ones who shape the environment of a movie, I decided to give priority to their word instead. And yes, animals DO speak languages, because we are all Disney nerds and we all love a talking animal.
Simba voiced by Ayanda Nhlangothi When “The Lion King” was released in 1994, a special Zulu dubbing was made on that occasion: it is the first and only Zulu dubbing made by Disney, as well as the only dubbing in any language spoken in Africa (other than Arabic), not to mention, the language sung by Lebo M. during the song “Circle of Life”. For this reason, Zulu is the only language that can be chosen for Simba. Given the impossibility to determine when the story takes place, I decided to put Simba first in this video. Full song: https://youtu.be/6PQJcvMRYQo
Hercules voiced by Διονύσης Σχοινάς | Dionísis Shinás While the movie gives us a clear location (Thebes), establishing the exact point in time is a bit complicated. The story takes place during the so-called Greek Heroic Age, which spans roughly from 15th to 9th century BCE. It’s Herodotus to place the myth of Hercules in 1300 BCE. Full song: https://youtu.be/4zk_dcwdoSE?t=7
Maui voiced by Piripi Taylor (Māori) & Elijah Kaʻikena Scanlan (Hawaiian) Official franchise places the story between 100 BCE and 100 CE. However, according to directors Clements and Musker, the movie gives a fantastic explanation to the causes and conclusion of the hiatus Polynesian people took from voyaging for still foggy reasons, which occurred about 3500 years ago and ended a thousand years later. We can therefore assume that the story takes place more or less 2500 years ago. The languages used in the video are two, but they actually represent one sole language: Proto-Polynesian, the common ancestor to all Polynesian languages, which subsequently spread and diversified across the Polynesian triangle. The story takes place somewhere in it, maybe even across the whole area. A Tahitian version of the movie also exists and was supposed to be featured in the video, but to this day, no high-quality audio in said language is available anywhere. Find here a LQ audio of the Tahitian version: https://youtu.be/hJRu1cfQLlc?t=31 Full Māori song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyiTbbDGKLA Full Hawaiian song: https://youtu.be/wJ02M64p67Y
Shang voiced by 成龙 | Jackie Chan Official sources place the story between 206 BCE (beginning of Han dynasty) to 900 CE (end of Tang dynasty). I chose to reduce the interval to Han dynasty alone, as Xiongnu invasions (here identified as Huns, although a connection between these two populations is still debated) happened mostly during this dynasty. Several anachronisms can be easily spotted along the movie: the capital city is clearly the Forbidden City, which was built only in the 15th century, while fireworks were invented c. 8/9th century. Full song: https://youtu.be/w2Fox6v-L8k
Arthur voiced by Rickie Sorensen, Richard Reitherman, or Robert Reitherman The hypothetic historical figure of Wart King Arthur is believed to have lived between the 5th and 6th century. Since he is a child in the movie, 5th for the win.
Aladdin voiced by هشام نور | Hisham Nour I kept the time-lapse given by official franchise, but I decided not to go with the official given setting (Iran) for two reasons: 1. The movie opens with a song titled “Arabian Nights”, quoting the most notorious English title given to the collection “One Thousand and One Nights”, while Iran is not part of the Arab world (official language: Persian). 2. According to its filmmakers, the story was heavily influenced by the 1940 movie “The Thief of Bagdad”, and it was originally meant to take place in the same city, when the Gulf War burst out and directors were forced to change the setting: https://www.eonline.com/news/706200/disney-myths-debunked-by-ron-clements-and-john-musker-directors-of-the-little-mermaid-aladdin-and-hercules The name “Agrabah” itself was made up by Musker, playing with the name “Baghdad”. Note: the dubbing used is in Egyptian Arabic because it's the only official Disney dubbing in Arabic (like the vast majority of Disney movies). Full song: https://youtu.be/tu3Uw1jYURQ
Phillip voiced by Olivier Constantin (1981 redub) The movie gives us a clear century: 14th. As for the location, the official franchise provides a generic “Western Europe”, though the location seems to fall somewhere in France or Belgium, probably in the region of Wallonia, so the French-speaking part. Full song: https://youtu.be/grJMal8W6z8
Quasimodo voiced by Francis Lalanne Place and date are clearly specified: the story starts in Paris on the day of “la fête des fous” (January 6th) and ends two days later. The year is specified in Victor Hugo’s book. Full song: https://youtu.be/qkkprH_AO7w
Florian (Snow White’s prince) voiced by Rolf Dieter Heinrich (1994 redub) Both date and setting are provided by the official franchise. Full song: https://youtu.be/aJ5JxmMymY4
John Smith voiced by Mel Gibson “In 1607, we sail the open sea For glory, God, and gold And The Virginia Company” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ne2tzfxQ6T4
Eugene voiced by Manuel Straube Both period and location are provided by the official franchise. But while the given time is pretty clear (1650-1815), figuring out the where is a bit more problematic. The location might be somewhere between Austria, Czech Republic or Slovakia. I went with German both considering the original fairytale and because, looking closely at the map, Austria looks to me like the most likely option out of the three. Full song: https://youtu.be/sxceCV0AFEs
The Beast voiced by Emmanuel Jacomy The location is pretty clear, and it was confirmed that the story takes place in 18th century: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-I6zBWitMh4 Full song: https://youtu.be/B-GHq2xrLTE
Mowgli voice-actor unknown The period given is Kipling’s time, while for the language, even though several languages are spoken in India, I picked the one from which many of the characters’ names come: Hindi. e.g. भालू (“bhālū”) meaning “bear”, शेर (“śer”) meaning “tiger”, अकेला (“akelā”) meaning “alone”. Full song: https://youtu.be/k90yDFh7Ihs
Henri (Cinderella’s prince) voiced by Michel Chevalier (1991 redub) All names of the girls announced at the ball are French and they’re addressed as “mademoiselle”, which confirms the location provided by the official franchise, which is also the source of the time. Full song: https://youtu.be/U1ExXZ4-R5g
Kristoff voiced by Vegard Bjørsmo If we want to trust the map popping up at the end of Frozen Fever, Anna’s next birthday after the events of the first movie was in June 1840 (directors confirmed that Elsa and Anna were born on winter and summer solstice respectively). Since Oaken informs us that Frozen takes place in July, 1840 must be the year after those events, while Frozen 2 takes place three years later, in 1842. Like the Northuldra people in the sequel, Kristoff is a Sami, although he comes from a different tribe. While he can probably speak fluent Norwegian, his native language is doubtlessly Sámi. Full song: https://youtu.be/ugRKi0uGp-Y
Pinocchio voiced by Corrado Pani? Once again, time and place of the original story are the best source we were given. Full song: https://youtu.be/Y6cS3jMjSMY
Naveen voiced by Bruno Campos A newspaper during “Down in New Orleans” reads: “New Orleans, Louisiana, Friday, April, 25, 1926” (though April 25 was actually on a Sunday in 1926).
Dimitri voiced by Сергей Вещёв | Sergey Veshchov Tsar Nicholas II Romanov and his family were arrested on March 22, 1917, following the events of the first Russian Revolution occurred during that year (February Revolution). They will be executed on July 18, 1918. However, the movie uses even a song to let us know that prior events take place in December, month on which, in 1916, Grigori Rasputin was assassinated. As the movie takes place ten years after those events, we can probably count them starting from December 1916, instead of 1917, hence: December 1926. Dimitri is included in this video because 20th Century Fox was purchased by Disney on March 2019, and now on Disney+ the movie is included in the “Princesses” category. On a side note: Saint Petersburg was called Leningrad from 1924 to 1991. Full song: https://youtu.be/3EUdXMi1rkA
Miguel voiced by Luis Ángel Gómez Jaramillo The story takes place in present days (2017 was its release date) in an imaginary town in Mexico. Full song: https://youtu.be/oLrg2zA3poA

For Those New To EXO!
EXO was originally divided as EXO-K and EXO-M: “K” stood for Korean and “M” for Mandarin. One sub-unit would promote in Korea and the other would promote in China). They debuted as 12 members in 2012 with 6 per sub-unit, but two membersleft in the year 2014 (names: Kris and Luhan) and one left in 2015 (name: Tao). The reasons as to why they left are due to personal issues, health issues, and conflict with their company. A lot of fans left during those years and many people believed that they'd flop after these events. Many didn’t even believe in EXO’s success even before they lost members, that they wouldn’t become so popular. Obviously, the opposite happened.
There are only 9 members now. Ordered from oldest to youngest: Xiumin (3/26/1990), Suho (5/22/1991), Lay (10/7/1991), Baekhyun (5/6/1992), Chen (9/21/1992), Chanyeol (11/27/1992), D.O (1/12/1993), Kai (1/14/1994), Sehun (4/12/1994).
EXO debuted with the concept of being “aliens” with superpowers; coming from Exoplanet, they’re protectors of the tree of life and have come to earth in order to protect the heart of the tree of life and now earth from the red force. Each member has their own power and symbol: Xiumin-Ice, Suho-Water, Lay-Healing, Baekhyun-Light, Chen-Lightning, Chanyeol-Fire, D.O-Force/Earth, Kai-Teleportation, and Sehun-Wind. (They also each have their own number for clothing/jerseys). This superpower concept has remained in each comeback, and they’re one of the only (if not, the) groups to have such a foundation and artistic style based on the same concept for so long.
Despite people’s pessimistic view of the group, EXO was a really hyped up group by their company with a total of 23 teasers starting on December 21, 2011. Each teaser was made to slowly reveal who is who in the band, their concept, and their capabilities as rookies. This was done until March 21, 2012, and during that time two music videos were made prior to debut. Those music videos were not yet their official debut.
Side note: EXO-M only had 4 Chinese members: Kris, Luhan, Lay, and Tao. Xiumin and Chen were also in EXO-M but they are Korean.
Another side note: they still do create Chinese versions of their songs, they also had a Japanese debut in 2015 so they also have some Japanese discography as well.
ANOTHER SIDE NOTE: A sub-unit of EXO, EXO-CBX, debuted in 2016 and the member Lay also had his solo debut the same year (Lay’s solo discography are all written, arranged, and produced by him). EXO-CBX consists of the members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin.
LAST SIDE NOTE: The EXO fandom is called EXO-L. The 'L' stands for Love. In the alphabet, the letter “L” is the 12th letter (for twelve members) and links the letters K (EXO-K) and M (EXO-M). EXO-Ls are considered to be a sub-unit of EXO so: EXO-K + EXO-L + EXO-M = One. Therefore, the band's slogan "WE ARE ONE!" means that the band members and the fans are ONE. EXO-Ls are in charge of promoting worldwide Love for EXO-K and EXO-M."

EXO is a group that has broken multiple records: fastest selling concerts (0.2 seconds), youngest group ever to perform at Tokyo Dome, best selling artist in Korea for 4 years in a row, 4 million sellers, etc. Even individually, members have broken records (Lay’s Lose Control EP broke seven out of eight Guinness World Records on the YinYueTai China Weekly Charts). They’ve made monumental achievements not only as an idol group but have given great contributions to the Hallyu wave (performed at the Pyeongchang Olympics closing ceremony, first artist/k-pop act/non-royal to be displayed on the led screens of the Burj Khalifa, etc.).

Famous Muses & Groupies in Rock Music Pt. 36
MUSE: Marianne Faithfull (full name Marianne Evelyn Gabriel Faithfull)
Marianne was born December 29th, 1946 in Hampstead, England to Robert Faithfull and Eva von Sacher-Mosach. Through Eva’s family lineage, Marianne has aristocratic roots of Austrian nobility. Her great, great uncle Leopold von Sacher-Masoch is the author of the infamous novel Venus in Furs (1870). When Marianne was 6 years old, her parents divorced and she spent the rest of her youth with her mom in Reading. Not long afterwards, Marianne was diagnosed with tuberculosis, which took her years to successfully be cured of. Despite her mother’s family lineage being Jewish, Marianne attended St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Convent School as a teenager and considered becoming a nun. When she was 17 she began performing in local theatre productions and singing in coffeehouses. Only months later in 1964, she was discovered by rock music producer and manager Andrew Loog Oldham. Oldham quickly got her signed to a record contract, and had Keith Richards and Mick Jagger compose her first single and trademark song, ‘As Tears Go By.’ Marianne then had more success with the singles ‘Come Stay with Me,’ ‘This Little Bird,’ ‘Summer Nights,’ ‘Go Away from My World,’ and ‘Something Better.’ In 1966, she crossed over into acting including the films Made in USA (1966), Anna (1967), Girl on a Motorcycle (1968) and the short film Lucifer Rising (1972). She made movie history as the first person to ever say the word ‘fuck’ in a major film release with I’ll Never Forget What’s’isname (1967). Her on stage performances include ‘Three Sisters’ (1967) and ‘Hamlet’ (1969). During the 1970s, her career took a dive from drug addiction, but bounced back with the new wave album ‘Broken English’ (1979), which soared to success on the charts and critically. The title track and ‘The Ballad of Lucy Jordan’ from the album were particularly favored as well.
Marianne’s not only an accomplished music artist and actress, but also one of the most famous muses in rock music. To the point where her relationships almost overshadowed her work. The year she was signed to Decca Records, Marianne began dating artist John Dunbar when she was 17 and he 21. Less than a year later they married on May 6th, 1965, and had a son named Nicholas in November. Peter Asher of Peter & Gordon was John’s best man at their wedding. The marriage was very short-lived because Marianne started becoming a bit too familiar with the Rolling Stones. In her 1994 self-titled memoir, Marianne revealed that she hooked up with Brian Jones and Keith Richards before officially becoming Mick Jagger’s girlfriend. She claims that Brian was a great guy and musician, but an awkward lover, so they only made out. Keith was apparently the best time she ever had in bed (:O), though he was the one who suggested she go out with Mick. Keith was more interested in Brian’s girlfriend Anita Pallenberg, who coincidentally became Marianne’s best friend. (Marianne also suggested that for a brief period in the early 1970s, she and Anita were FWB as well. Hot.)
In August 1966, Marianne left John and moved in with Mick. Almost instantly she began experimenting with drugs like weed and acid. In 1967, Mick and Marianne started hanging out with the Beatles frequently and appeared the promo video for ‘A Day in the Life.’ She was also part of the all-star line-up in the Stones’ shelved TV special Rock & Roll Circus (1968); where you can see Marianne clearly intoxicated and Mick not amused by the end of the performances. Earlier in ‘67, Mick, Keith and Marianne were busted for drugs on Keith’s Redlands property in Sussex, where Marianne was found nude in only a fur rug. Marianne’s called the whole incident frustrating and embarrassing. “It destroyed me. They were branded bad boy rockstars, while I was labeled a slut and a horrible mother.” Then in ‘68, she started snorting coke and miscarried a baby (she would also lose custody of Nicholas two years later because of the extreme drug abuse). The song ‘Wild Horses’ from the Stones’ 1971 album ‘Sticky Fingers’ originated from the first words Marianne said after waking up from a near-death drug overdose: “Wild horses couldn’t drag me away.” Around the same time, Marianne composed the song ‘Sister Morphine,’ which the band also covered on ‘Sticky Fingers,’ and was the B-side of Marianne’s 1968 single ‘Something Better.’
Mick and Marianne officially broke up in May 1970, not long after she attempted suicide. In her book, she went into detail of how she cut off all her hair and tried to make herself look less pretty to get Mick to be the one to end the relationship. By now, Marianne was addicted to heroin and practically homeless. With the exception of a rather unique 1973 TV performance covering ‘I Got You, Babe’ with David Bowie and the 1975 album ‘Dreamin’ My Dreams,’ her music career was at a stand-still until ‘Broken English.’ Things began looking up again when she started going out with Ben Brierly of the punk band the Vibrators. The two met in 1975, married on July 8th, 1979 before divorcing in 1986. A year before the divorce in 1985, Marianne finally entered rehab to end her drug issues. Since then, Marianne’s life is back on track. She has been steadily releasing music, occasionally acts and she published two more memoirs, Memories, Dreams and Reflections (2008) and A Life on Record (2014). She also reconciled her relationship with son Nicholas and they have regularly been in contact since the 1990s. Marianne had two more serious relationships after Ben as well. Her third and last marriage was to actor Giorgio Della Terza from 1987-1991; and she lived with her manager François Ravard from 1994-2009.
Fun fact: Marianne directly inspired the Hollies’ 1967 single ‘Carrie-Anne.’ Graham Nash had a crush on her at the time, but never told her and slightly modified the namesake.

Happy Birthday musician Michael ‘Mike’ Scott born 14th December 1958 in Edinburgh.
Scott was born and raised in Edinburgh. His father, Allan Scott, left the family when Mike was ten years old, but the two were reunited in 2007.
Scott was interested in music from an early age. At age 12, after the family had moved to Ayr, he began a serious interest in learning guitar. In 1968 he mentions listening to Hank Williams as a “life-changing” experience. The next year, Scott was playing in school bands and formed the band Karma, they were inspired by David Bowie, The Beatles and Bob Dylan.
Playing in a few bands by the time 1981 came he had started the idea of The Waterboys, he admits that he “is” The Waterboys, the lineup has changed through the years but he say that “ there’s no difference between Mike Scott and the Waterboys; they both mean the same thing. They mean myself and whoever are my current travelling musical companions.”
It’s not all about having hits with The Waterboys, Mike is a natural songwriter, as The Waterboys and Mike Scott he has released 15 albums, 4 of the singles reached the top 40.
In mid-1980s, when The Waterboys supported U2 at Wembley Arena in London, Mike Scott’s band seemed all set for the same global status as Bono and Co.
The following year, when their third album, This Is The Sea, and classic single, The Whole Of The Moon, catapulted the band’s “big music” into the Top 10 such success seemed virtually assured. But it was never what he wanted. Under pressure from his record company to produce more stadium-pleasing Waterboys tracks, he retreated to Ireland… and made a folk record. Mike has lived in the Fair city of Dublin for over 12 years and holds a dual nationality, he said in an interview last year   “ ….people have often told me I’m an honouree Irishman, but I feel Scottish. But I’m very proud to live in Ireland. And my children are Irish. So, now I’ve very deep roots here.”
Mike continues to write and tour with the Waterboys, I remember always arguing with a friend that disagreed with me that the Waterboys were (are) a Scottish group, it’s true some of the members of the group have come from Ireland and England as well as the US but Mike Scott, as I said to him and would still say to him IS The Waterboys, The Whole of the Moon is a top class song and the lyric…
“Unicorns and cannonballs, palaces and piers Trumpets, towers and tenements Wide oceans full of tears Flags, rags ferryboats Scimitars and scarves”
……could only be written by a Scotsman. The song was initially released to a limited success in 1985, it resurfaced again in 1991 and won an Ivor Novello Award as “Best Song Musically and Lyrically” that year and reached number 3. Celtic Women sing a version at their concerts, Jennifer Warnes has also covered it as well as the late great Prince at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club during his 2014 Hit & Run tour. U2 used the song as a “walk out tune” during the Joshua Tree tour.
The Waterboys released their 16th studio album last May, I’ve listened to a few of the tracks, Blackberry Girl for me is the stand out tune, Once were Brothers is a decent track too, it’s a cover of Robbie Robertson song.
The Waterboys  are set for dates next year in Portugal, Netherlands, the Scandinavian countries and Germany, before heading home with gigs at Glasgow Royal  Concert Hall on October 2nd, Edinburgh Usher Hall on the 3rd and back to Glasgow Barrowlands on the 6th, they then head south for a number of dates in England
The song I have chosen this year was  originally from The Waterboys Too Close to Heaven album, a collection of outtakes, alternative versions, and unreleased tracks from The Waterboys' Fisherman's Blues period, released in September 2001. This version is sung in a Scottish accent, it is, in my opinion fucking brilliant. The line  You feel like you want to have your sporran refilled, just gets me.If I was to describe it, I would say it is like The Proclaimers on Acid.
The mountain is steep The ditches are deep The task in hand Is making us weep But here's a promise (I intend to keep / That I mean to keep) Seed it in your mind And say it each night Before you sleep: We will climb higher in time (och!) You've got a head full of trouble And a ship to build (You think you won't make it But you know you will You feel you need your Cup refilled Fill it out of mine We'll drop the defenses Pool our skill / Your heart you're hiding It's making you ill You feel like you want to have your Sporran refilled Well, fill it out of mine Let the soulful water Overspill) And we will climb higher in time
I've been to the bottom I've been on the train I've slept in the gutter With my head in a drain I've been brutally proud I've been mortally shamed But this is not a crime I'm just learning, my friends That it's all in the game And we will climb higher in time (Och!) Climb higher in time Climb higher in time

MUSIC HISTORY 101 JULY 26, 1977 - Led Zeppelin cut short their 11th North American tour in support of the album "Presence" after Robert Plant's five-year-old-son Karac died unexpectedly at age five of a stomach infection. Karac Pendra Plant was born April 20, 1972 in Worcestershire, England. He was the youngest brother of Carmen Plant, and the first son of Robert and Maureen Plant (née Wilson). His middle name Pendra, is a shortened form of Pendragon, Welsh for "warlord". Pendragon is from Caractacus Caradog Pendragon (AD 6 - 54), a historical Celtic chieftain and the main Welsh leader of the Catuvellauni tribe. He led the native Briton resistance to the Roman conquest of Britain. Karac Plant appeared in the Led Zeppelin 1976 film "The Song Remains the Same", in scenes filmed in late 1973 at the Plant family's Welsh country farm. He was also a passenger in Robert and Maureen Plant's car involved in an accident on the Greek island of Rhodes on August 4, 1975. The Plant family were seriously injured when their hired Austin Mini skidded off the road and collided with a tree. In the back-seat, Karac suffered cuts and bruises. In an interview with People magazine on December 20, 1976, Robert said about his son: "We call him Baby Austin after that Bionic Man. He knows no fear, has no anticipation of danger. I envy him." After leaving Oakland, California, on-board the group's privet jet Caesar's Chariot, drummer John Bonham, tour manager Richard Cole, and Plant headed to New Orleans for Led Zeppelin's concert at the Louisiana Superdome, the site of their next show. The governor of Louisiana was also planning on awarding them with the titles of honorary colonels. Within hours of arriving and checking in at the Maison Dupuy hotel, Robert received a call from his wife Maureen at the family's farmhouse near Kidderminster, Worcestershire. The first phone call said his son was sick, and within the next two hours later, she informed Robert that Karac had passed away. Earlier Karac had felt ill and been ordered to bed by the family doctor, but his condition deteriorated. Maureen called an ambulance but he failed to respond to treatment and died on the way to Kidderminster General Hospital. Robert was shocked and devastated. The following morning band manager Peter Grant held a press conference in the lobby of the Maison Dupuy hotel, and announced the cancellation of the July 30th concert, as well as scheduled shows for Chicago (August 3rd) and Buffalo (August 6th). 80,000 tickets for the Superdome had already been sold (the remaining tour dates were cancelled a week later). Plant, Cole, Bonham, and Plant's personal assistant Dennis Sheehan, immediately flew back home to England on the next available commercial flight via Newark to Heathrow, London on British Airways. Because of the short turn around in time, Caesar's Chariot was unavailable. Bonham and Plant then flew via private jet to Birmingham, and were met by Robert's father at Birmingham airport, who stated: "Karac was the apple of Robert's eye. They idolized one another." The Plant family were shielded from the media and instead Swan Song Records label representative Moira Bellas spoke on their behalf. An autopsy held on Monday August 1, 1977, revealed Karac had died from natural causes. Only a week earlier Carmen had become ill with a stomach enteritis which may have been the same virus which affected Karac, whose funeral and cremation was held in the first week of August 1977, in the old county of Hereford and Worcester. A devastating loss for the family, the incident Plant especially hard and he requested privacy, retreating to mourn with his family to his home in the Midlands. For months afterward he questioned his future and pondered pulling the plug on the group and becoming a teacher in the Rudolf Steiner method. It was only after Bonham's assurances that he decided to make a tentative return to public life at the end of April 1978 and Led Zeppelin finally regrouped to work on their final album, "In Through the Out Door", which included Plant’s tribute to his late son, "All My Love". "Carouselambra" from the same album is also believed to be linked to the events surrounding Karac's passing. In 1993, Plant released the album "Fate of Nations" which included the song "I Believe" which put into words his thoughts he kept for years to himself over the grief of losing his son. The song "Blue Train" from the 1998 Page/Plant album "Walking Into Clarksdale" was also written about the loss of Karac. Karac's older sister Carmen Jane was born in 1968, and two brothers followed after his death: Logan Romero (1979) and Jordan Garcia Jessie Lee (1991).

Eric Benét Jordan (born October 15, 1966), known professionally as Eric Benét, is an American R&B and neo soul singer-songwriter, who has received a total of four Grammy nominations to date for his musical work.
Biography
Benét was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is the youngest of five siblings.
Benét sang with a Top 100-style group called Gerard in the late 1980s. Benét, his sister Lisa, and his cousin George Nash Jr. formed a band called Benét and released a self-titled album in 1992, and it went on to sell over 100,000 copies. Two years later, Eric Benét broke onto the music scene with his solo career and signed with Warner Bros. Records, releasing his debut solo album, True to Myself in 1996. His second album, A Day in the Life, was released in 1999 and featured his smash hit "Spend My Life With You (featuring Tamia)". The song rose to #1 on the US Billboard R&B charts (for 3 weeks), was certified gold, and nominated for a 2000 Grammy Award for "Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group". The album also won a Soul Train Music Award for "Best R&B/Soul Album, Male".
Benét's career, however, was interrupted by a series of personal tragedies. His father died of cancer. In addition his girlfriend, Tami Marie Stauff, died on April 24, 1993, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident, leaving Eric a single father to their one-year-old daughter, India (born 1991). Mom Joyce Jordan.
He married actress Halle Berry in January 2001, but by early October 2003 they had separated, with the divorce finalized in January 2005.
On July 31, 2011, he married Prince's ex-wife, Manuela Testolini, who gave birth to their first child, a girl named Lucia Bella, on December 21, 2011. They welcomed their second daughter together, Amoura Luna, in July 2014.
Career
In 1994, Benét signed with Warner Bros. Records, releasing his solo debut album, True to Myself in 1996.
