i'm designing rhian's and alvea's design/outfit progression and it got me thinking abt how these two approach being grey wardens (designs mirroring significant points in their journeys and all that)
at her recruitment, alvea is over the moon to finally leave the circle, see the world and make something of herself. and while she's nervous about the upcoming battle, she knows that almost anything is better than being locked away, constantly fearing the templars will one day decide she's 'too much' and she becomes another mage who went mysteriously missing. now she can let her magic out and do some good while at it. this idealistic and naive view of the grey wardens becomes more and more tarnished with the joining, the secrecy, the nightmares, the harsh life on the road. and finally it shatters completely when she discovers that the joining left her with only a few decades of life left, a life she finally started to enjoy. by the time the party reaches the deep roads, she is very disillusioned about her place in the order, and the deep roads only solidify her resentment. she promises her self then that no matter what, she will not go to her calling there.
on the other hand, rhian was infected with the taint, their brother was presumed dead, and they were forced to joined the wardens, not only by duncan (who they very much resent) but by their keeper. they were ripped away from their family, taken to a world they know nothing about and where they are hated, when all they wanted was to die peacefully surrounded by their loved ones. for half of the game they rebel against being a grey warden, refusing to identify with the order. yet, begrudgingly, they began to find a deep sense of accomplishment in their job as a warden. they began to see killing darkspawn as their calling in life, being able to use the skills they honed their entire life for something meaningful again. while the deep roads unsettled them deeply, they would not hesitate to go to their calling there, a last heroic sacrifice and gratitude for the borrowed time they lived on. (they're also aware they have less time than alvea, as they undertook their joining while already being tainted for several days)
rhian takes the news of the sacrifice required to kill the archdemon with stoicism, while alvea is in shambles. rhian is fully prepared to sacrifice themself, when morrigan comes to the wardens (rhian, alvea and alistair are all present in my canon) with the proposition of the dark ritual. they discuss their parts in it and agree that rhian should be the one to do it (it's a blood magic ritual, so no icky sex stuff in MY canon) and alvea would land the final blow. to avoid any suspicions and ensure morrigan's safety, alvea would have to fake her death and disappear from ferelden, something she is more than eager to do, while rhian would take over as the head of the grey wardens in ferelden.

okay reggie i have a very big question for you. what are all (or most) of the changes between the west-end/toronto versions of &j to the broadway/aus versions?
like what exactly was changed, added or removed. cause i know some things but not all of them
okay, lets see
for starters, in the west end & toronto versions, May said 'i dont know, i mean what would we even do? run off to someplace exotic and like, flirt with random foreign guys? okay i'm in' rather than 'oh i'm coming too. i will leave verona, and go on holiday/vacation, and live my best life, because THAT is what friends do!'
in the west end/toronto Show Me Love, William started giving a tour of paris. i dont know the exact words for the first bit, but this is how the interaction went:
William: I hope you're enjoying this other eden, this demi-paradise, this-
Anne: Okay, getting awfully wordy for a carriage driver!
William: Well I actually used to be a writer, until somebody took my job!
Anne: Okay. Just take us to Paris.
which is, tbh, the cutest thing ever. i love that interaction i wish we still had it
Francois didn't sing 'show me love and what it's all about' in west end or toronto, he just had an 8-bit version play and said nothing
in the Juliet/Frankie interaction, after Overprotected ends (Francois is cut off by Lance, which is why in the recordings he says 'hello' at the end), Lance comes in with Madeline* (insert some french last name idk), a princess that Lance wants Francois to marry. the interaction goes something like this:
Lance: Francois! This is Madeline (french last name), the crowned jewel of Paris.
Juliet: Oh, actually we were just talki-
Lance: Madeline is a princess!
Juliet: Okay! Nice to meet ya, Vaseline!
Madeline, with a french accent: Actually, it's Madeline!
Juliet: Okay? Well I may not be a princess, but I was here first! So, you can leave!
[Madeline and Lance leave and Juliet laughs]
Francois: Are you out of your mind? He will NEVER let me get away with that!
Juliet, still laughing: What's he gonna do?
Francois: Well if I don't dance-
Juliet: Oh, don't you worry Frankie. We're gonna dance.
[Confident begins]
this isnt completely accurate to the script because i cant remember very well but thats the gist of it
in most of west end they didn't have the "I just like kissing you" line, but it was added later and there for all of toronto
Since U Been Gone lines for Romeo and Benvolio that go like this:
Romeo: And I may be guilty, but you're not that... guilt free!
Benvolio: Yeah tell 'em boy, that's wassup!
which i miss SO MUCH. seriously i wish we had them still it was so cute :((
in West End One More Try, when Romeo said he's getting weirdly emotional, Juliet said 'you are weirdly emotional! and that's okay' instead of 'you are weirdly emotional, and i love that about you'
during Everybody, Angelique's sign says 'De Boi Band' rather than Lance!
Epilogue lines!
Lance: And since we are already here, perhaps a second marriage might FINALLY be arranged!
Anne: Yes, Lance and the nurse do get married!
Angelique: [something about her being married, cant remember, also Mel has a very strong accent so i cant always understand her] who will be next to catch the bouquet?
May: Uh, it's gonna be May!
Francois: And in case anyone was wondering, I no longer play the virginal!
i think thats all, but there could be more that i'm forgetting
1. Madeline is played by Imogen, who in West End was played by Rhian Duncan, Tim Mahendran (west end Francois)'s girlfriend of 2 (3?) years!

It has been an interesting transfer window for Liverpool. What was initially concerning times turned to sheer delight, and it might not be over just yet. Rhian Brewster has been heavily linked with the exit door at Anfield recently as his future remains unclear with us, it is unknown as to who is truly behind his reasons to leave. Former academy player Bobby Duncan left in controversial circumstances and I hope this will not turn out in a similar fashion. Obviously, both scenarios are worlds apart. But there is always that danger attached to these situations that can turn sticky quickly. So it is important that we put our club first and prioritise our future. Crystal Palace and Sheffield United are both in for Brewster with a £20m fee believed to be his asking price from us. Whether either of those opt to pay that fee, is another question. Speaking to Football Insider, former Premier League striker Noel Whelan believes that Liverpool are being wise by inserting a possible buy-out as he feels he will make a return to the club in the future. “There are a lot of teams interested in Brewster. “A fee of around £20million, in this day and age, for a striker that has proven that he can score goals in the Championship is not too bad. “Brewster scores all kinds of goals. He has lots of pace, lots of creativity and knows where the back of the net is. “Brewster would be a fantastic option for Chris Wilder to have. “Liverpool will want a buy-back option and they would be clever to do so. You can be willing to let a talented young player go but if they do develop into a top-class player you want to have that buy-back option. That way you cannot be held to ransom. Whelan added that any clause added would be a clever move for us, and that we could still re-sign someone at this stage. L4L’s view… I was against seeing Brewster sold at first. Partly because I believed that he had a bright future with us having performed brilliantly on loan at Swansea City last season. But having unravelled the details of his possible sale, it would be clever for us to put such clauses in place, in the event that we decide to re-sign him. Will we bring him back? That would be guessing at this stage. It wouldn’t be nice to see him leave but I suppose Brewster himself will want to keep playing regularly every week. Realistically, we can’t offer that to him right now, especially after the arrival of Diogo Jota. So it will be interesting to see how this mini-saga ends up. #premierleague, #livematch, #livestream, #skysports, #premierleaguetv, #epl, #epl2023, #premier league, #premierleaguetable, #epl table, #eplfixtures, #ipl2021 live, #premierleaguefixtures, #fantasypremier eague, #eplresults, #epllivescores, #premierleague results, #pltable, #chelseafixtures, #eplscores, #arsenalfixtures, #premier leaguestandings, #eplstandings, #plfixtures, #eplschedule, #ipllive 2023, #dstvpremiership, #premierleaguetable2023, #pslfixtures, #epllive, #premiershiptable, #eplresultstoday, #eplfixturestoday, #Bitcoin, #Dolars

thinking about how when I saw Jocasta as the Nurse/Angelique, she struggled to get her costume off for the reveal towards the end of Domino, so she poked her head out behind the dresser prop, sung her little “oooo baby baby BabEy!!!” bit and then rhian (i think) helped her get it off 🥺

mahariel origin (they/them)
my thoughts on each sketch under cut!
rhian and tamlen were really good friends, and rhian saw tamlen as a brother. they often went hunting together, and often got in trouble together. at the start of origins rhian was 22, and tamlen was 21, and they both got their vallaslin just a year prior
when they hear of the ruin, rhian is very eager to explore, thinking that the humans they encountered got scared off for no reason. however, when the undead appeared, rhian wanted to go back and tell the keeper, but tamlen insisted to check the last chamber. rhian relented, something they regret greatly. when the images started to appear in the mirror, they tried to pull tamlen away, but they were too slow.
when duncan found rhian, they were right outside of the ruins, having dragged themself out. he didn’t give them much chance for survival, since the blight already started to consume them, but he wanted them to at least pass away among their family. rhian survived, as much because of the keeper’s healing as their own strong will, but blight still coursed through their organism, killing them, albeit slower
upon waking up, rhian’s first action was to look for tamlen, although they could barely stand. they refused to believe he was missing and possibly dead.
as merrill and rhian explored the ruins, rhian gradually started to lose hope they would find tamlen. their body was also growing weaker, the blight was moving fast, but they gritted their teeth and continued the search.
rhian’s goodbyes with the clan were very hard. they knew they would probably never return. they tried to not cry, but when ashalle’s turn came, the tears began to flow. she was rhian’s parental figure and they were very close. ashalle said she knew rhian will make the clan proud, and in the end, she was right.

shakespearean au: sge concept
warning - this is long and contains otk spoilers (and macbeth spoilers lol). no i do not offer refunds for time wasted. but if u don’t read this, i will find u because my fatigue is fuelling me w anger :)
11:00 pm: ok so I was casually floating in a bowl of water (segue- what is the point of baths? you can literally do the same things in ur bed but dry...) thinking about how great a shakespearean au would be... yes, I hate Shakespeare’s pretentious ass and if I have to read Romeo and Juliet one more time, I might obliterate my existence. however, imagine the drama of a midsummer nights dream au- immaculate fairy hallucinogenic woods vibes w the magic of fairies that could be linked to sge, just everyone going insane bacchanal in the woods. sadly there are more characters in this play than unnecessary first years in TCY so I decided to try twelfth night instead.
12:30 am: ok, I have tried every combination of characters possible for twelfth night (just imagine - agatha in the position of duke orsino and tedros in the position of viola, ah the angsty friends to lovers, the jealousy arc potential, misunderstood love ahh) but I always ended up w an agaphie... incident (sweet home alabama)
2:00 am: tried hamlet, taming of the shrew and king lear (plot is way to depressing)... becoming delusional
2:30 am: I WON’T GIVE UP UNTIL SHAKESPEARE IS AT MY KNEES, HERE I PRESENT U ... MACBETH
macbeth au
if u don’t know the plot... uncultured. jk i blame the british education system for my knowledge of this play but here’s a plot summary
let’s pretend scotland is camelot? yeah, just do it.
also: “Fair is foul, and foul is fair, hover through fog and filthy air.” (aka the only quote i can lowkey remember from year 9 for an absolute trash equivocation essay i waffled)
oh and also “what, you egg?” (he stabs him) - do i even have to explain the amazing significance of this quote? pls keep reading, i’m not insane.
character list:
macbeth - rhian
ok confession - i love rhian, 100% didn’t deserve to die so here he can be the tragic protagonist
outshone tedros in QFG (not that hard tbh) and gave us a glimpse of never!tedros’ potential character similarities - corrupted by evil, assuming that there r good intentions in evil people, kinda power hungry, thinks he deserves a position he really doesn’t, tricked by a prophecy
he’s a simp for sophie lets be honest (soz keian shippers) so the choice for lady macbeth should be...
lady macbeth - sophie
ok, just imagine, no morals/manipulative sophie slowly going insane and having power over powerful men- my fave trope of her wanting to kill rafal/king duncan but unable to pull through last minute because of her daddy issues... yes <3
slowly going insane cus she can’t balance her evilness and her humanity
the hand washing scene...
“Look like the innocent flower, But be the serpent under it.”
the guards that are killed by lady macbeth and macbeth - nicola and hort
they were a cute duo when they investigate in QFG and that’s abt it, hence the short roles
the dagger - excalibur
cursed swords check
3 witches - mistral sisters
bruh this is perfect, i don’t have to explain, this is all slotting into place
king duncan - ... yoooo, does it really matter, just the previous king of Camelot. wait maybe that Uther guy. whatever.
banquo - chaddick
im tired, ur just gonna have to pretend that tedros is king arthur’s grandson and yes, chaddick’s son
i shall allow chaddick to have an actual role where he is a humble, loyal knight who isn’t just conveniently used to fulfil some random prophecy... oh wait poor guy was wronged so bad in TCY- ok ik he dies in macbeth too but like he has a bigger role here than in the 6 sge books. chaddick/ banquo are good plot devices that only exist so the prophecy makes sense, bingo!
macduff - tedros
c-section king
he just would be that character with the unique and coincidental part of his past that allows him to be king
young and underestimated check
daddy issues and family trauma
kinda doesn’t deserve to be king but uno what, ~prophecies~
(just forget abt malcolm’s existence, i have the power now)
the king of england - agatha
agatha as king... we love to see it yes this is my way of incorporating tagatha just pretend macduff falls in love with the king of england ok.  agatha breaks the news that tedros’ dad has just died- cute comforting scene
scottish macduff realises the english are ok just like tedros realises agatha isn’t a witch... idk someone write a oneshot
3:30 am:
me: let’s fix all my mistakes w some aesthetic mood board ideas.
*types in “macbeth aesthetic” into pinterest* *chooses the first 3 images*
this is very much adequate
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4:00 am; do what you will with this information, people of the internet. this doesn’t even make sense at this point. can’t wait for the black coffee overdose my body will endure tomorrow :) also i love how the sleep deprivation slowly makes my tone more aggressive. im a simp for tagatha but rhian being the main character makes me happy. how do y’all make ur theories and stuff all pretty. WAIT NO COVEN! wait no hester oml... ok maybe the 3 witches might have to be the coven, wow, i can’t believe i’ve done this.
ok imagine them all running around in a circle chanting “Double, double, toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble!” - iconic
ok, they can be the king of england’s attendants.
4:15 am: haha just brushed my teeth... why is this so chaotic. i cant get myself to proof read this because then i have to acknowledge how much time i have acc wasted so pls be traumatised by this chronic brain puke. will i ever write this fic... probably not but miracles happen. good night girls and gays - sweet dreams :) probs will regret this in the morning... oh how i worship the anonymity of tumblr
ps - currently writing a hate essay on hort which i might never release on fear of assasination by 12 year olds... we love to see it
pps - if u made it this far, idk what to tell u, u have perseverance. or maybe u just can’t read. how do i end these things and why am i treating this like a dear diary blog. goodbye. oh yeah, can some sge accounts maybe like... idk... interact w me uwu. i will go insane if i have to play devil’s advocate w myself any longer... GOODNIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

1 for hanan, 5 for rhian, 9 for adelaide
Dragon Age Origin Character Prompts
Hanan
Did Surana/Amell have any memories of their life before the Circle? If so, what of? If not, how did they feel about not knowing where they’re from?
She still remembers her parents and the kids she used to play with.
Rhian
Did Surana/Amell believe in “Mouse?” What did they think of his story?
Initially, yes. But then as time went on she started suspecting him. His story made her feel bad for him, and angry at the same time because of the injustice.
Adelaide
Did Cousland willingly join Duncan, or resist fleeing? Why?
Yes. She never really felt like she fit in the family anyway. She was grateful for all the things they’ve done for her and treated her well enough considering they weren’t blood related. But in reality noble life isn’t her cup of tea. Plus Eleanor and Bryce told her to go.
