Practical Magic

Here's my s3 take on the iconic house of the Owens sisters from Practical Magic (1998).

You will be seeing a lot of sims that were being made over from my very old style (that I will probably never show here on Tumblr). Still, this time, here is a lovely sim who at the time I saw was interesting to do a makeover on who 9 years later has been redone, and that is none other than the aspiring Riverview artist named Billy Caspian!

Just a Simple TOU with these sims:

DO NOT Claim this sim as your own nor use them as a base.

You are free to give them a makeover, but they have to stay true to their aesthetic unless for storytelling.

A mostly decorative parking lot for Riverview

FOOD TRAILER PARKING LOT

Built on patch 1.67 - Originally built in Riverview where the Diner lot used to be (18x24) - Lot label = Visitors Allowed

Parking lot with food vendor (WA food register), for the Industrial District. Located just behind the Jazz Lounge.

Using Items from: 

No Store Item, No CC

EPs: WA, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Seasons, University Life and Island Paradise.

SPs: High End Loft and Outdoor Living. Maybe Town Life and Fast Lane. But there shouldn’t be anything from Mastersuite, Diesel, the 70s,80s and the Movie Stuff packs (and I don't have the KP one)

I use markers on my lots: skip level, hidden room, public room… So to be able to modify any of  these buildings you need to have cheats on:  ‘testingcheatsenabled true’, then ‘restrictbuildbuyinbuildings false’ To see/remove the markers you need ‘buydebug on.

So I made over Constance Shelley because I seen her walking around Riverview and thought she was pretty so I gave her a little makeover.

She is so freakin' pretty and I love her.

Major neighborhood project in progress!

For about 2-3 weeks I've been working on a new neighborhood which I called Pleasant Valley! It's an alternative universe of Pleasantview set about 50 years before the canon hood. There're also sims from other games from the franchise who are related to Pleasantview sims as well as a few OCs! All characters in the neighborhood are genetically correct with infant face templates thanks to @ivycopur's Clean Pleasantview Plus: Restored Ancestral Sims & Genetic Infant Faces and @meowingcookie's Maxis Infant Face Templates.

Currently the neighborhood is approximately 15-20% done, as it is a huge project which I'm doing by myself.

To make the thumbnails I used Sims 2 HQ Icon Pack and Build-A-Sim Icon Pack!

Kynda Pleasant's aspiration changed from Popularity to Knowledge

Fatima Simovitch wants to be a star herself instead of pushing her daughter into it for reason below, TW: child grooming (if this topic is too much for you, please stop reading this post!)

Originally in Riverview, Fatima is explicitely said to be "grooming her daughter Betty to pursue a career in music". Which to me personally implies that she wants to make Betty pursue a career in music even if it ended up dangerous for her, because realistically speaking, being a celebrity poses many dangers for minors. There will be heavy topics in the neighborhood, such as child abuse mentioned in one sim's memories done by Mystery Sim, but I drew the line of having playable abusers. I hope it's understandable!

Started the project of renovating Riverview, lot by lot , without using custom content - except for RH rugs - . I’m also going to be using some free Store items, from time to time. Once done (which should take a while, I’m taking it slow), there should be a save file with all the makeovers, in the meantime here is the latest one.

Renovated for a savvy sculptor or one who'd like to dabble in mud ^^ It's supposed to be a modern renovation of an old barn but I kinda got stuck with the old barn look . I'll try to make it more modern for the save file.

There will be Billy Caspian living there in the save File.
