Something about going by The Keeper in reference to like. The consciousness. Like. Or the body. The thing that contains the fronter. Or the system overall. Idk
There's a statue in my hometown called the Keeper of the Plains. It would connect to not just the meaning I've been looking for, but the several layers of sentiment, And a connection to my ancestry

Went to Riverfest/this big 4th of July sort of festival (held on a Saturday every year to make it more family-friendly)
The last time I attended I was 19 at most and it has grown a LOT since then. There were a ton of booths and a big fancy stage with a band with a tour bus
I don't really get patriotism or at least the American brand of patriotism where people believe the US is the greatest country ever. Aside from that leading to the conclusion that everyone who believes their country is actually the best is wrong, the US is young as hell and objectively not the most pleasant place to live in a lot of ways
But I fucking love fireworks and funnel cake so whatever
Walked around with my sister until she got tired. Sat with my family for a minute before I was like "I'm gonna walk around some more. We've got 40 minutes until the fireworks!" Remembered halfway through the walk that we were there to hang out, not just see the fireworks, but they know how I am and don't take that particular behavior personally, so I didn't feel bad about it
Found some unused diffraction glasses on the ground which greatly enhanced the experience of sitting in a crowd and made the fireworks a bit more interesting (still sort of prefer them without the glasses, though). Passed them around but no one kept them long. A bit too intense, I guess!
This guitar was purchased by Stevie in 1986, just before the show at the Harriet Island Riverfest on 11th July 1986. He bought it from Pete's Guitars in St Paul, MN. Fender made 4 prototypes for a guitar that they hoped to put into production. According to one source Fender could not get clearance from Hendrix's Estate, so the project was abandoned. However according to Mark Page, who worked for Fender, 25 of these guitars were made as a special run, for sale by guitar dealers in Texas.
Stevie's prototype was the second of 4 made. He can be seen using it for "Superstition" and "Willie the Wimp"at the 1987 Daytona Beach, FL show.
I am so very thrilled to be a part of Seasons: A Magical Musical. From inception to stage, this project as with many large shows I have worked on over the years has been demanding and enriching, and we aren’t done yet! I draw on my vast experience of theatre acting on stage at the community level in Lindsay Ontario and directing productions at the elementary school level for tweet your five years. I have scored music for choirs and directed those same choirs drawing on my love of soul and gospel music.
Larger scale shows that I have worked on have been about bringing different groups together and building community. I ran the Community Performance Stage for RiverFest in Lindsay Ontario. I have directed stage entertainment for Canadian Parents for French fundraisers for several years bringing together French Immersion and Core French students from both public and catholic school boards. I contributed theatrical and musical direction to each of these events as well as having scheduled the other talent for those evenings.
Since arriving in Vancouver three years ago, I have been working in the film and television industry as an actor with a dozen principal commercial roles along with twenty supporting and principal roles in various independent films. My most recent film acting work will premier at HotDocs in 2018. This new career path has seen me immerse myself in scene study working under and collaborating with some of the top talent that Vancouver has to offer in both learning my craft and developing my instrument as well as creating new work for the world to view. Networking in the film and television world of Vancouver has allowed me to attract some great talent to this show to help bring it alive.
I am principally a musician, composer, singer, song writer at heart. I write in both French and in English. I continue to collaborate on music with local musicians as I did back in south Central Ontario. I am presently recording new tracks for a CD release. Parallel to all of this, I am composing music for and developing a story line for my own ballet.

Today You Learned about Gnometown, USA, although most maps probably marked it as Dawson, Minnesota. They decided that they needed A Thing to differentiate them from other towns, and so it became gnomes. They have a bunch of gnomes around town, and on their Riverfest Celebration they add new gnomes to the town’s collection.
It’s worth noting though that these aren’t just any gnomes–all of the official gnomes that they have around are actually based on people from town who have made notable contributions to the community. Their website has a list of some of the gnomes and their stories, based on the lives of their inspirations.
Also! They didn’t have a Riverfest in 2020 because of the pandemic, and no new gnome. Instead they celebrated the gnomes’ victory over the troll Covidius P. Evilson the 19th. You can probably guess what that’s about.
This interview linked above mentioned a Spoon song ranking list that I thought was interesting too: https://www.kaxe.org/show/91-7-kaxe-90-5-kbxe-morning-show/2024-09-03/spoon-band-song-rankings-from-kaxe-experts-grand-rapids-riverfest-top-10-best-ever
