still laughing about my friend whose idea of a disney fan was "I sang some disney songs in my a cappella group and I really liked aladdin" then going to a d23 event and being like
#like girl you're in the big leagues now#and we're at a regional event we're not even in california or florida#that's where the REAL superfans are#I haven't been to one in over a decade but those old d23 events were pretty fun#you got to meet interesting people and see behind-the-scenes stuff and get first looks at announcements#plus they gave out presents and stuff which I enjoyed#like FYC photobooks that were made for award show voters stuff like that#I wouldn't say that I exactly yen for it anymore#(I'm not a huge disney fan anymore for a lot of reasons)#but they were fun#definitely not a baby's first disney get-together though lmao#my friend looked like she'd just realized she was in a freemasons meeting or something#and I was kind of laughing like babe you're a theatre kid born in the 90s surely ducktales fans can't be THAT shocking#it kind of felt like someone going to SDCC and being like people??? are dressing up here???

Day 2 of con also went well. I was a shiny Vaporeon, which is also mostly closet cosplay, but it’s also Very Pretty. I make the most of a dress with a push up bra and padding and it’s been a while since I went to a big con in a pretty cosplay…everyone is very nice to me, in a different way that they are nice to Link. Like I didn’t get any creepers (I think I exude enough of A Vibe that runs them off) but I did get a lot of smiles and compliments. Several people asked for photos. I got asked if I was Spyro or Figment, too (which is common, and I get it)
Tomorrow I get to be Link, and I’m excited. I found a both that will scan me for a 3D print, too, so that happening and will also hopefully be better than the last time

Rising from the dead to share this painting and then disappear again
I have spent over 90 hours of my life on this thing because I have had the brain rot for the last 2 years of my life (almost 20 if you count when I first read the comics) and it had to express itself somehow
Hope this dramatic bitch feels appreciated
