He was, cause yeah he figured out the case around the same time Kirigiri did, but that doesn't mean shit when you're just an onlooker. It's up to the class to figure that out, and the messed up memories leaves them as far too unpredictable of a variable for him to factor into analysis (ESP in ch1, you could make an argument for him knowing ENOUGH to factor it in as time goes on)
