she steps out and in front of him, clad in the very maid dress he's asked her to wear. there is a blush resting on the apples of her cheeks, taints the tips of her ears, her neck. and it's obvious she feels shy, but she still twirls once, the fluffy material bouncing prettily up and down. He was not really going to force her to wear it. Yes, he hoped she would but would not dare to force it on her. He may like to see cute things, and his girlfriend in said cute things, but forcing her to wear or do something defies the whole cute aspect. 

Anyway! He was not expecting her to actually ...wear it. The lady who sold it to him said the fabric is nice on the skin so it will not bother the lucky lady whom will wear it. Plus, the design is not tacky or old. Machina was hooked up to the outfit but was unsure if Rem will like it. The saleslady told him that it is actually on demand item. A lot had asked for this for their girlfriends so if it was not a good item, they would not have been sold. Aw shucks, it can’t hurt to buy it.

Now that Rem is in his room, trying on the outfit, Machina felt his heart is about to burst out of his chest. He is so excited! So when her voice rang in the room, Machina gulped, turning his head so ever slowly, then followed the rest of his body to face the girl. 

“... ! ... R-Rem ...” his mouth agape, eyes fixed, unmoving on the girl. This is ...way..WAY better than he had imagined. Heck! Whatever he could imagine is nothing compared the reality in front of him. “Beautiful...” he murmured under his breath, still frozen in his place. It took him a couple of minutes to snap out of his staring. “--Ah! Right, um, ... B-Beautiful....You really look beautiful...I...” he can’t help the blush that painted his visage. It could not match hers but he was flustered alright. 

Machina walked towards her, his right hand gently caressed her face. “You really look pretty, Rem.” he smiled at her. “You could literally wear anything and you would look the most beautiful thing in this world, even if you didn’t wear---*cough* *cough*” excuse him to have a violent coughing fit now. Dear crystal, he was going to say something completely ridiculous! ‘even if you didn’t wear anything...’ Well, he would not blame her if she slapped him so hard now. 

“A-ahem, y-yes, you look good in it. I love it. A lot.” God, she is cute. Mega cute! REALLY CUTE. Don’t be a creep. Don’t be.

How can anyone live in a cold weather like this? Rubrum’s weather is heaven compared to how Milites lands’ weather is. One wrong move and he could be as a frozen holiday chicken. Though lucky for him and Rem who was on the mission with him, they found a small cave to the side to get some cover from the snow storm that hit the area. The two reported back their situation and their whereabouts and the commander told them to stand by until another group comes to their aid. Waiting on the enemy’s territory is not...easy. Machina told Rem to get some rest while he watches over from any movement to which she scooted closer to him, hugging his arm to her body in sought for warmth. They had already lit up a small fire but they didn’t want to get caught due to the smoke so it could barely warm the small cave, let alone themselves, but it was better than nothing. He pressed a soft kiss to her head and watched the entrance. His only indication for her being alive next to him was her chest going up and down against his arm. Good... Knowing that she is . . .sick . . . it does not make this easy on him but they will be fine--He WILL protect her. 

Machina carefully tried to wrap his cape around her shoulders when she tugged his sleeve. “--Ah, sorry, did I wake you up?” gently draping it around her. “This will make you feel a little bit warmer.” god...she could look at him with these beautiful eyes all day long and he will not feel any cold. Her dainty hand tugged his sleeve again-- 

                “I just want to kiss you...”

Eyes shot open, feeling his heart just rushed up to his throat, pounding so hard, so fast at her words. Th-this is some straight out of romance story situation, no?? Crystal help him he never intended to do anything to her--well, not like he DOES NOT want to, but --ahh!! You know what he means! It honestly never crossed his mind due to how critical the situation is but now when she says that she wants to kiss him... Slap him awake, this is not a dream right? His hand reached to cup her face, thumb gently caressing her cheek. “I want to ..kiss you, too ...”

As if the snow and all the atoms in the air warmed up at this moment. He was not bothered by the cold ground, nor the wall behind them, not even the bite frost winds that sneak upon them from the entrance...nothing matters except her. He leaned towards her, noses touching, lips hovering close to each other. Machina wanted to savor every second of this, how she was breathing against his skin, her eyes looking lovingly at him, her hand above his.

The soft kiss followed after her silent consent, with a nod, and their lips pressed against each other. Soft kiss turned to a slow tender kiss between two lovers fate persistently trying to pull them apart. Machina wrapped his arms around her slender waist, pulling her closer to him, as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. There was a moment when they pulled away to breath in before soft chuckles and giggles filled the not-so-cold cave.
