Mentopolis is great because you have seven people improvising the most buckwild story, using something as random as dice to help form the narrative…

And then after every episode, they spend 30 minutes analyzing how their improvised choices fit into this larger metaphor of a brain and what that says about what it means to be human. And it works- it all somehow fits together so beautifully.

the way several characters have told ed and stede to "shut up" in some way, shape, or form. but when they're both talking to each other, they absolutely cling to every single word. they can't get enough of each other's stories, or ramblings, or little recounts of their days.

I hate the 8 episode format that most shows have nowadays like everyone else but shows that are going back to dropping one episode a week instead of a whole season (I.e. The Penguin, Yellowjackets, Interview With The Vampire) are doing a much better job at getting and keeping me hyped for their shows.

Instead of finishing it in one day and forgetting about it by next week I’m pumped the entire two month and talk about them nonstop until a new season comes.
