Guys I fear we are leaving out the opportunity to have the whole gang dislike curly and curly having to earn their respect. Let curly be absolutely terrified of Darry, let Darry lean into that so that curly doesn’t try and get pony in trouble. Let curly and Johnny hate eachother and insult the other when pony isn’t looking. Let Steve be overprotective of pony, let him and soda play pranks on curly and try to purposely anger him. Let TwoBit be an absolute menace to both pony and curly and then when pony isn’t looking TwoBit just stares at curly waiting for him to get freaked out. And let dally embarrass the shit out of curly by telling all the stories Tim has told him.

Sometimes just honey, sometimes something even more tooth achingly sweet like "honey girl" or honey darling" when he's teasing a little, but it's always honey.

You find out two things later on.

One, honey is one of his favorite things. He puts it on pancakes and toast and pound cake and in tea, a habit from his mother.

And two, you're the only girl (and there were a LOT of girls before you) that he ever, ever, ever called honey.

"What're you making, sweetheart?" Darry asks as he walks into the kitchen. He wraps his arms around your waist and kisses the top of your head.

You smile and reply, "Pancakes."

You had come over early to help to see Darry, hoping to spend some time with him, forgetting he had work today. So now you're making pancakes for the boys. Pony is reading a book and eating a pancake at the table and Soda is still sleeping presumably.

Darry hums. "They sure smell good."

"Mhm, and they're almost done. Last one here." You flip the pancake. Darry takes a plate and picks up a pancake, then takes a bite. You look at him, in a slightly judgemental way. "Really? No butter, no syrup, no fork? Nothing?"

He swallow. "I'm in a rush."

You chuckle. "Right, well, since you have work, I guess I'm just going to drive home when you leave. I'll find something else to do on my day off." You plate the last pancake then turn of the stove.

He hums then takes another bite. "They're good, y/n."

You smile. "Thank you."

Hr sets his half eaten pancake down on the plate. "Alright, I gotta go. C'mon." You follow him to the front door. He waits for you to put your shoes on. Your little white kitten heels. Once they're on, you walk outside together.

"Wait." You grab his hand to make him stop, then you stand in front of him. You try and fail to hold back an amused smile when you step onto his shoes and crane your neck to kiss him.

He grabs your waist and lifts you gently off his feet a bit while continuing to kiss you. Eventually, the kiss ends and you return your feet to the concrete portch.

"That hurt my feet, sweetheart." He says, causing you to smile apologetically.

"Sorry. You should get some get some better shoes then, love. You're gonna drop something heavy at work and crush your toes.

He looks down at his shoes, then back at you. "Or you can get me some if you wanna stand on my feet so bad." Darry suggests.

"Hm, maybe I will." You press a quick kiss against his cheek.

Sodapop Curtis

Sodapop arrived at your house 20 minutes ago to pick you up for your date, and you still weren't ready. He really didn't mind– in fact, he liked watching you get ready. He talked about his day as you did your makeup.

You'd already apologized a million times, but every time you looked at the clock you felt more guilty. And, even though he was trying not to show it, Soda was finding himself getting slightly impatient. He was hungry!

He continued to chat with you as you put on your jewelry. You had him help you put on your necklace, which he gladly did. Then you looked at your numerous pairs of shoes. You look down at your white and purple dress then back at the shoes.

"Which shoes should I wear, Soda?" You pick up a pair of dainty white kitten heels and then a pair of white double strap mary-janes.

He looks between them. "Um, what's the difference?"

"What's the difference?! These are more cute and simple and have a little kitten heel, and these are more serious kinda, they're cute, but like, I could wear these to school."

Soda listens carefully and thinks for a moment before answering. "Those ones." He points at the kitten heels.

You smile. "Good choice, baby." You put the other shoes back down, then hold onto his shoulder with one hand as you put on the white kitten heels. He gently holds your waist with one hand. Once the heels are secured, you let go of his shoulder and look down at yourself. You straighten your dress then smile at your boyfriend.

"How do I look?" You ask as you do a little spin to fully show off your outfit.

Soda smiles as he stares at you with such admiration and fondness in his eyes. "You look beautiful. I didn't know I could fall any more in love with you, but I think I just did."

Your smile widens and your cheeks turn a tinge more pink at his sweet comment. You feel overwhelmed with your love for this wonderfully sweet boy, and so incredibly lucky that you get to call him yours. You carefully step onto his shoes- a pair of Darry's nice dress shoes that were just a tad too big for him- so you can reach his lips. He grabs your waist, handling you gingerly as he kisses you back. He was feeling just as overwhelmed by his love for you, and just as incredibly lucky that he gets to call you his.

The kiss ends early, his tongue leaving your mouth soon after entering, because his feet are starting to hurt. You step off his shoes. "Sorry."

"For what?" He asks as he wipes away some off your lipstick that smudged off your lips.

"Stepping on your feet."

"Oh, I don't mind. I didn't have lipstick on my face, do I?"

You smile fondly at few red smudges around his mouth. "Just a little."

Dallas Winston

"What's the weather like down there?" Dallas asks teasingly as he puts plate on a high shelf for you.

"Ha ha." You say dryly and cross your arms. "You're not funny."

He cups his hand to his ear. "Sorry, what was that? Can't hear your from all the way up here."

You roll your eyes as Dallas chuckles at his own stupid teases.

The two of you were supposed to be going out today, just walking around town, but your parents rangled you into doing chores right before you were about to leave. So now Dallas was leaning against the counter watching you put away dishes. You close the cabinet then look over at him.

"Done?" He asks. He feels awkward being in your house, well, being somewhere in your house other than your room. It's not often that he's in your house with your parents knowing.

"Yeah." You close the dishwasher. "Just gotta put my shoes on, then we can go."

Dallas follows you over to your shoes and watches you put on your kitten heels. You had dressed up a bit, even though you weren't going anywhere fancy. Dallas thinks you look stunning. How was he so damn lucky? He wondered. You flash him a sweet smile. He can't help but smile back.

Oh, how precious he looks when he smiles, you think. You're suddenly overwhelmed with affection and the desire to kiss him. So, you step closer to him, then step even closer, your feet landing on his shoes as you perch on your tippy-toes.

"Hey–" He begins to protest but is cut off by your lips. His hands quickly find their way to your waist as yours wrap around his neck. As he moves his lips with yours, he worries that your parents will walk in any moment, but then you smile against his lips and starts to forget that they're even home.

Your lips eventually part and your feet find their way back onto the ground. He wipes a bit of saliva from under his lip with this thumb.

"Did you have to stand on my feet?" He asks, though there's no bite behind the words.

"That's what you get for teasing me earlier."

You grab your purse that you had set on the counter then call out to your parents. "I'm going now!"

"Are the dishes done?" Is hollered back.

"Yes!"

"Okay, be safe!"

You grab Dallas's hand, then the two of you exit the house.
