The New Captain Is Unusual (Closed for Science-Vs-Magic)

Ragna wasn’t a gossip by any means, but he still followed a good rumor or two from time to time, and this newest one had caught his attention. Apparently, “Hazama” had been overthrown by a young woman with a similar appearance. Ragna initially assumed that this woman was just Terumi’s newest vessel (and that Terumi had decided to change his gender identity or whatever... not that Ragna cared about that) but her actions were apparently making waves in the NOL. Good waves. And that made Ragna decide he had to investigate. 

Still, he never expected that the woman would meet him halfway in this endeavor. Standing in front of him was a slender woman with long, light-green hair and yellow eyes. They didn’t have the snake-like quality that Hazama’s eyes had and seemed instead oddly gentle. This wasn’t enough to make Ragna drop his guard, however. He could sense that she was extremely powerful, and someone he had no intention of crossing. 

“So, you’re the new Captain of the Intelligence department I’ve been hearin’ about. I ain’t here for a fight.” He sighed, “If you’re tough enough to make that asshole run screamin’ for the hills, as far as I’m concerned, we might as well be best buds. So, uh...” 

His mind briefly drew a blank, before he remembered he hadn’t even said his own damned name. 

“You probably already know who I am, but... I’m Ragna. Never did hear your name, though.”

@science-vs-magic Kazuma swallowed hard knocking on the door of the newly rebuilt church. "H-hello? Celica are you home?"

Hair bound up as usual, sweat dripping down the pale porcelain skin of her’s, her mouth hung open as she panted a bit. Crouched she seemed to be preoccupied.

A soft pink bandana covered her maroon lockes, She was finishing up the cleaning of the church. All morning, so far seh ahd worked to clean. Clean and striaghten up.  Since her time in teh rebuild church, she had managed to offer ti as a home to those of her friends and strangers alike as a form of inn. Mostly welcoming trhose who didn’t set minerva off.

She stood upa straight as she finally released the large box, pushing it now with her foot into the nearest closet. She took one more deep breath and ran her hand across her brow. “Wooh...”  She chuckled softly and smiled back at her handy work. Clean!

Spic and span. She was a decent cook, decent, cleaner, and great with kids.... How was she not plucked up again? Oh right... Phantom displaced by time. Y ay plot convenience...

From the distance of the main hall, of the church, she would hear the tapping of a hand against the large old looking wooden door.

As the loud creaking filled the air Celica paused in mid motion. She stared to the green haired male, her jaw dropping. “....Oh.. Hi.. Kazuma.. what brings you here?” She asked keeping a friendly smile. He had to amend this fence if he wanted her to be less nervous around him.

Honestly being lost for her at this point felt pretty nice if it meant she could sit under a tree and read an old book. It’s one she hasn’t touched in years, Alice in Wonderland. Now what made this peaceful time not so peaceful was the fact that someone had asked her a question and yes she tried to ignore it. 

The page was bookmarked and set aside. “Okay, one more time. What is it?”

...This was quite curious.

N had been staring at this woman’s hair for quite some time. In fact, he’d been trying to deduce whether or not those tufts of hair on her head that resembled cat ears were, in fact, real ears or not. But, to be quite honest, he was making no headway as to the discernment of whether those were ears or not.

So, eventually, he grew tired of thinking on it, and decided to act instead. Which meant he’d decided to reveal himself to the other, staring at her ears with curiosity the whole while.

“...Erm...Pardon me, miss, but I must know something. Are those real ears, or do my eyes deceive me?”

Kasugami wasted little time with shifting forms, if only to ease the beast kin’s nerves a little. It might be less odd to talk to a deity in human’s guise after all.
