1. What is your character's biggest fear, and how does it affect their actions and relationships?

-she’s afraid she’s a bad mother, a bad partner, a bad person. She has this survivor guilt that she can’t name and can’t and won’t address. She hears stories about the lone wanderer or some vault dweller out west who were heroes and she feels like she needs to be one in order for her life being saved to mean something. She kinda pushes them away, in a tells them so much they realize she didn’t give herself away at all.

2. What is something your character is deeply passionate about, and how does it drive their goals and motivations

Which goes into this answer, she’s passionate about her self worth, doing good, even if it’s selfish in the long run. She likes helping people, she likes what Preston does, she likes helping synths. She thinks if she keeps doing these good things she’ll get her son on that good karma and then she can prove she was meant to have him in the first place.

3. Describe a memorable childhood experience that shaped your character's personality or outlook on life

Her dad left them in the house for two days alone, he locked the doors so then they’d stay “safe” as he went out on his benders. Nate climbed out the window to get groceries and stuff so if he came back he wouldn’t know the left and he wouldn’t notice the fridge was suddenly full.

It taught Mara to rely on Nate, and then really only herself.

4. What are your character's quirks or eccentricities that make them stand out from others?

She has tattoos and piercings all over her face and body, she looks like a raider. Shes prewar and it shows in her teeth, the way she searches for a light switch in old buildings, her please and thanks, her soft skin and unsunken eyes.

9/15/19 11:35pm - Never Forget Your First lol

Ah another week of work almost done. This one felt pretty fucking nice since I only had the two days from switching. After that post on sunday night at work, I had a pretty stellar week.

Monday I played a DnD one shot where I rp’d Finn the Human in an investigative mystery story. Tuesday I hung out with the gang and played waifus and melee. My Supreme jacket came in and unfortunately it was just a little too big to be comfy. The sleeves came down a little low and they were really stretchy, so I had to return it. By the time I got credit for it being returned (today) size Small is the only one out of stock, so I had to buy the jacket Again from a private seller, so I had to buy for $100 over retail, plus mailing mine back for 20 and the original shipping cost being lost means I’m basically taking a $150 bath on buying a small instead of a medium. Sucks, but whatever. Fine. It’s fine. It makes me a little salty that now I’m committed to spending Another $500 on supreme shit since I could only get store credit lol. But I’ll get the hat I was planning on buying, and maybe get some gifts for maya and manu or save it for stuff coming out this year or maybe get a tracksuit or something. All good ideas. I’ll be content with getting more cool stuff eventually lol. It’s just initial salt. AND on the plus side the fucking weird lewd Rita Ackermann Supreme dress shirt I got looks brillllliant. I love it to death. It’s so funky and fits great. So not all is terrible. Whatevz.

I’m feeling kinda broke because I paid for another 2 grand in stocks too. So I’m at about $500 in the bank. LMAO. What a dream. I’m so happy that I can be so fucking wild and have a cushion. I’ve gotta...pay rent and shit next month. But that’s a paycheck away lol. Idk I’ve still gotta go buy pants for the wedding, and I saw this vinyl copy of rocky horror at a thrift shop that I went to with Jill last week. And I bought a spare laptop charger and some cds for my car and I got a bunch of snow leopard print stuff for reasons and idk maybe NOW i’ll stop spending a bunch of money and shit and chill for a sec lmao.

But anyway back to Tuesday, got to chill with Jimmy for a while too, we were watching Konosuba and I love it. Gotta watch more. 

Went to karaoke and hung out with that girl! It went pretty well I thought, she was laughing her ass off at like everything I had to say. Man first off I mailed that jacket back and UPS worker cracks some jokes about 9/11 to me and that was a fucking riotttt. It wasn’t anything bad but like I was like “goddamn air fare is too much” and he’s like “yeah but it’s not a good day to complain about the inferiority of air travel.” then he looks at my package “especially when you’re mailing something to New York.” lmfao.

But I was super happy. My supreme boxers came in that afternoon, which gave me plenty of time to cut a slit just big enough for my tail to get through. And I went running, because I needed to feel as fit as possible for that night lmfao.

I went to Spice at Legends, and it really was my first time going in. It felt like a wonderland, I swear to god lmfao. People on crosses getting flogged, people wearing next to nothing at all. I even got invited to her birthday party, but unfortunately it’s on a friday so I’ll be working.

(: it's such a shame how much animal planet has changed, though... now it's all about people and how to survive a fucking animal attack... ever actually seen a snake in the wild?  here in the rural south, plenty of times. i have two noteworthy occasions, though. once, when i was being dropped off at home from school by a family friend, we stopped short because of something in the driveway. my sisters and i got out of the car to see a rattlesnake- a HUGE one- curled up, head raised, hissing, and rattling its tail vigorously. we called for our mom and dad, who came outside and immediately called somebody; i don't recall who, but they were not going to harm the snake. they came quickly and, with a shovel i think, moved the snake to the large tobacco field right across the road of our house. the snake was quite compliant, i was surprised. second, also many years ago, i was taking a walk and found a pretty small snake in the middle of the road, which is just a gravel path. it didn't want to move, but it seemed perfectly alive and healthy. i couldn't identify the species, but i don't think it was venomous. regardless though, i refused to be stupid and touch it, but i still stayed by it and directly a car once around the snake because i didn't want it run over. my friend came over, however (they were whom i got around the snake), so i abandoned the serpent and went home to play. after she left, i went to check on the snake, and he'd been run over. :( i was sincerely sad. have you ever had a PET snake? what kind? i've had two! my first ever was a ball python named mona lisa, and wow... i never knew it was POSSIBLE to love a snake so dearly. i mean, "it's just a snake," right? no, she was family. she was going to play a big part in my senior project actually, but she sadly died due to the pet store's own negligence (there was a tick on her when we adopted her, and it apparently made her ill). after mona, i adopted another snake quite a while later; it was too young to distinguish gender, so i gave it a neutral name: cato. it too was a ball python, and we had little cato for a very short period of time... it never deficated, and when it passed and its tailbase swole up, we took its corpse right to petsmart because i had a feeling they were to blame. again. apparently, we'd adopted a sick snake: something was wrong with its bowels, no doubt, and the employee assumed it had to do with bacteria. i absolutely refuse to ever adopt a reptile from petsmart or petco ever again; they just don't treat their reptiles and rodents (i've got a gooood story about rats...) like family in my frank opinion. i've located a ball python morph breeder instead, and i plan on adopting from him very, very soon. 'ole one-eye was just fine when he got back in the water, thank goodness. i almost caught something i KNOW was even bigger once, though. same fishing spot, catfishing again. fought with it for a while, and holy SHIT i wish i'd seen how big it was. ended up breaking my line pretty quickly. i wanna go catfishing again. :( coolest place you've ever been fishing?  i've never been fishing outside north carolina, and not far from home, either, so i haven't really been anywhere necessarily "cool." there's two places i consider quite interesting, though. the catfishing spot, for one, is at a dam. i don't know what about it, it's just real cool there. the second spot, though, is much more wild. it's in the middle of shitfucknowhere and you have to brave through some pretty thick woods to get to the river.
