Do you have the heart of a rescuer? Are you a Cat Whisperer? Do you have a serene, calm home where these two, beautiful, bonded sisters can adjust and thrive, again?

They were born to a gorgeous, feral Siamese on the campus of UCLA and were trapped when they were around 9 weeks old (early May of 2021). They went to live with a family with small children and, apparently, got spooked by the youngest's loud voice and fast body movements. That's the best way I can describe it.

Neither one of them are aggressive, in any manner, Instead, they act fearful and shut down… hiding in the back of the cage.

Serena and Venus look identical and the only way I've been able to tell them apart is by Serena being the smaller of the two and Venus is more friendly, enjoying pets and scratches.

They came back to my rescue when the family had to move away and the only place I have available to house them is a large, multi-level cage. Obviously, they need to be in a home so they can stretch their legs, and live a better life than this.

So like, there's definitely things about Ben and Devi's dynamic that I liked - that the challenged each other, were intellectual equals, funny banter, etc. But I don't know if I really think Benvi was superior to Saxton.

Paxton definitely wasn't perfect but there was something so sweet about how he grew into more than just the "dumb jock", and he constantly treated Devi was such kindness and compassion even when he really didn't have to.

Idk, yes either option could have been good for Devi but I'm a little miffed that she picked Ben.....couldn't she have gone off to Princeton single? You don't need to end up with your highschool boyfriend yunno

Other than that I feel like Devi had such incredible growth this season and honestly I was so incredibly proud of her and how she handled herself in her senior year. (also Margot can fuck all the way off)

I loved how much acknowledgement was given to Fabiola's intelligence this season. Hated Eleanor's storyline tbh, everything with wanting to be an actress and then breaking her and Trent up did nothing for me

Nalini was a gem as always an dim glad she's ready to start moving on - over all it was a pretty good season!

DeForest and Carolyn Kelley lived in a Ranch-style home in Sherman Oaks, California (an upscale section of the San Fernando Valley which is north of downtown Los Angeles). He purchased it around 1962. It was a 2 bed/2 bath home and was less than 1,300 sq.ft., but it had a big back yard with a pool. De once said “Small birds need small nests.”

The little heart above shows the area in Sherman Oaks where he lived. That’s the 405 freeway on the left.

Above was his street sign and his quiet tree-lined street. His address was 15463 Greenleaf Street, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403 and his telephone number was 818/788-1196 (at one time, his area code was 213, but it changed when area codes in Los Angeles expanded).

This picture (of De giving Myrtle the tortoise a shower, while Cheers the dog looks on) shows a bit of his back yard. Note the stairs where his lawn sloped down from the house (important to know for later in this story).

Here’s De playing darts. He had a huge barbecue in the far corner of his backyard. The stairs in the above photo lead down to the barbecue area. Oh to have had a cheeseburger made by De’s loving hands.

De and Carolyn on the diving board of their pool. The pool was situated on the opposite side of their yard from the stairs and barbecue in above pictures.

Sadly, after De’s wife Carolyn passed away in 2004 (five years after De passed), the house was sold and torn down (torn down!!). A two-story, 6-bedroom, 6,200 sq.ft. house (what is derisively called a McMansion) was built in its place.

Above is the back yard of the new house (from a real estate posting). The diving board was replaced with a jacuzzi and the larger house took away much of the yard (no more sloping grass and the barbecue in the far corner is gone).

It breaks my heart to know DeForest Kelley’s beloved home is gone. 😢

Landslide destroys Los Angeles home and threatens at least 2 others

A landslide reduced a Los Angeles house under renovation to a jumble of lumber, pulled the pool and deck away from a second home, and left the pool at a third residence on the edge of a huge fissure early Wednesday.

The slide occurred just before 3 a.m. in Sherman Oaks, a neighborhood of expensive homes about 12 miles (19 kilometers) northwest of downtown. An initial search found no victims, but several people were evacuated from one house, the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the landslide, but numerous slides have happened in Southern California due to drenching winter storms that saturated the ground.

Since Jan. 1, downtown LA has had almost 16 inches (41 centimeters) of rain, which is nearly twice what it normally gets by this time of year. By early February, the city had reported nearly 600 mudslides, had re-tagged 16 buildings as unsafe to enter and had yellow-tagged more than 30 others, limiting access to them.
