Some collages of my 2 MCs from IF games written by @justpked Fell Star and Beyond the Spider Lilies.

The left collages my Harbinger of Calamity, Thuban, wielder of blood magic and single monster mom to the Homunculus, Shian, post resurrection. It features her face claim, Lady Gaga, and pictures of some of Thuban's notable features like her red veil, horns, wings, 3 black eyes, and iridescent scales.

The collage on the right shows my Beyond the Spider Lilies MC, Princess Seleni Cereus Gaudare treasured daughter and heir of the Accursed King Aris. It also has her face claim, Dorra Zarrouk, and some pictures associated with her. The Red Spider Lilies and Night Blooming Cereus are the namesake flowers for both the story and Seleni. An albino Chimera for her pet, Baby's Breath, and pictures of gardens, a silhouette of a little girl holding her father's hand for her close relationship with her father, and a display specimen of a butterfly for her interest in entomology.

Some quick extra character lore: I decided to depict Seleni's pet as an albino Chimera as a little reference to my Harbinger since Thuban's Abyssal Beast form is pale and has many features similar to a Chimera like a lions mane, scales, horns, ect. As well as making her favorite butterflies the red blood drinking butterflies, Thuban can summon. At first, I was headcanon, maybe little Sece, curious about the Harbinger and wanting to learn more about her other than just what was officially recorded and started liking things associated with Thuban.

After falling into the Accursed × Harbinger Crack ship crossover, I now believe Sece loves those things because they remind her of beloved monster mommy (sure Thuban would technically be Sece's stepmother, but as far as Sece is concerned Thuban is the only mother she ever knew, doesn't matter if Thuban and Shian aren't related by blood or even human, family is family. )

Also, with the Beyond the Spider Lilies wip demo recently becoming available, it seems like another reason Sece wouldn't be frightened by Thuban's monstrous features like her wings, claws, teeth, ect. Is because Thuban probably reminds Seleni of her birth mother.🤔 I'm not sure if Sece even remembered much about her mother, considering she was still a baby, but considering the Mama's in game description, Seleni probably retained a kind of subconscious imprint about those features.

Because I got some writing done, I decided to do a two-for-one special regarding my MC’s for @the-kingshound demo release

On the left is Gwenvaël; he/him, 6′5″, stoic, reserved and in control. I’m thinking he’s gonna be my main Arthur romancer, slow burn style.

On the right is Gwenhael; she/her, 4′11″, emotional, open, but fierce. Because I adore height romances, I’m thinking she’ll be with Yniol or this will be an Arthur/Gwyar poly romance.

I know I’m not active all the time on here, and what I’m about to suggest could imply me leaving the BP fandom and Tumblr community for good (I ain’t never leaving 💀). However with BP: Wakanda Forever coming to theaters in like 9 days, and me getting hella into sims 4 again, I was thinking of writing a Black Panther story but in the sims 4 game? We could make it a BP community event too? Since it’s a large country with lots of culture. Also if y’all don’t play sims 4, then sims 3? Got home and I was so exhausted, I just showered and fell into bed pretty much immediately. However, I’m up for now and I decided to actually get to making these character Picrews like I said (in reality I said moodboard but I’m tired--). 

1.) Ri’en The Mistaken Divine

I'm off the deep end, watch as I dive in I'll never meet the ground Crash through the surface, where they can't hurt us We're far from the shallow now

My Elementalist. Sweet as sugar and protective of Shian, Ri’en casually adopted the homunculus, (or were they surprise kidnapped?) and escaped the facility with Ae-ri. Compassionate, humble, stoic and cautious, she fully plans to disappear from the world at first opportunity. It’s nice to be alive once again, but she’s done her part for humanity. 

Honestly, I think I ship her with Frieda. 

2.) Sirius The Eldritch Elder

Oh, my love What have I done? There's nowhere left for us to run And now I'm standing in the sunlight And I can't bear the sight of you

My Blood wielder. Stoic and proud, merciless and bold, but apathetic, he’s taken Shian with him from the facility, uncertain of his feelings regarding the fact that his heart resides in the homunculus. Literally lost control of his Abyssal form, chomped Amaryllis’ arm, and killed everyone except Ae-ri (the massive loss of control has this boy shook). Regardless of anything, it’s imperative that the child is protected, lest he expire again. 

I ship him with Meidh.

People on my posts tryna argue with me. //They deleted the comments because I’m spreading the truth

Legit reblogging and complaining in the comments, and thinking I’ll be quiet.💀 I can do this all day but I won’t since I have work in a couple hours. It still entertains me that they keep reiterating the same thing. Fanfics are literally created for this sole reason: if you disagree with what canon is, you can change it. I know some of y’all clearly enjoy complaining because the creators aren’t doing exactly what you the fans are wanting them to do but you know what that’s called?? 

Entitlement. 

This is a story that they write for themselves and we as fans get to enjoy it for free. It is not a group project. It’s a visual novel, some plot points are going to remain the same no matter how much you cry and ponder sending anon hate over. It is not an IF game where your choices actually can change the story, that is the difference.

My #1 post of 2022

Spoilers for Andromeda Six episode 6 under the cut. Don’t read if you ain’t finished and can’t handle an opinion.

Truth be told, I think I annoyed myself going in the a6 tag, expecting something different. I was tricked yet again. Some people would be happy Nerissa stayed dead???????? Her being alive erases us from the narrative? 

...Wut?

Did y’all forget that big ass post the creators made awhile ago saying that this is not a romance game? It’s mainly geared towards sci-fi and action/adventure, maybe with a dash slice of life and found family trope sprinkled throughout. That’s the whole reason the Traveler exists, that is the point of the story. The players getting to smooch the cute characters occasionally and get close is fan service and the story reads fine without any of that in there, regardless. 

So what the real problem is? 

I think y’all want Nerissa to be dead so y’all characters can be king/queen/ruler of the galaxy which is everybody’s dream, of course. There’s no guarantee that won’t happen anyway??? The FAQ suggested like 10 episodes, who knows, she could actually kick the bucket and die, Wanderlust could give us choices that lead to her being hurt, etc. and our Travelers still end up ruling anyway. 

If y’all don’t see foreshadowing with how the tyrant king became ruler after his family died, to the situation with the Traveler and Nerissa being put in similar situations, I don’t know what to tell you.

And all I can think of is a Harbinger who genuinely grieves the fact they were put in this position, a harbinger who mourns every time a human comes to face them. If they use lunacy, tricking themselves into believing that the laughing is real, between friends. Who is finally relieved when Asol kills them, who is grateful. Who smiles as they’re claimed by the abyss.

Who is filled with rage for being brought back. Even more so when finding out that the scientists used shian as a homunculus.

1. How were you first introduced to Fullmetal Alchemist?

Pictures of blonde red-cloak boy and giant armor warrior + the nina/alexander chimera jokes while surfing through the internet :V (I was in my ultra-Sonic-fanatic phase back then and was searching for fanart)

So when that scene came up the animes/manga, I was already de-sensitized to it through jokes long ago sadfzgfdhgjf

I finally got the basis to what it was about when my favorite Sonic fanartists started to make posts and analysis of it. I firmly remember the discourse of whether the ending of Conqueror of Shamballa was terrible or not, and me not understanding anything lol

 Still wasn’t an entire FMA fan at that time

2. Tell us all about your child your favorite character and why you love them to pieces!

BOY OH BOY, where have you been? *Points to Icon* That guy, over there (Does Greedling as an entity count)

Okay for real, so my first actual fave was actually Greed himself. I was looking at the FMA wiki and reading up on all the characters, and he caught my attention. So I was thinking, “Wow, this guy is part of the bad guys? But he’s not? And he’s actually nice!? What an interesting character! But he looked kinda like a villain beating up Ed...” 

Then he jump-started my motivation to continue watching the 03 anime and I cried over him and how he didn’t deserve to die ;v;.

Several days later, I remember there being some ~Asian Aesthetics~ In the brotherhood version after looking at a tumblr post (You know, that one where it compares Xing to IRL China). 

Went to the wiki again, and read up on all the Xing characters.

“That guy is also gonna be my fav I just know it.” And truth to behold, he is! There’s something about Comic Relief characters that are also secretly badasses that just gets to me ngh

When Greed gets tired, He gets tired

When Greed gets hungry, He gets hungry Etc. They feel everything with the same intensity. 

>Greed picked up minor Xingese during his body-share, but it’s really shitty broken sentences. He tries speaking it to girls in order to impress them. Ling cringes every time and disapproves of it. So when ling comes back to visit amestris for Emperor duties, he’s known as that guy with the broken language by some of the public :)

Greed, Greed, and Greedle!! THIS POOR GUY JUST BEEN THROUGH A LOT OKAY.

Plus he’s like....the most docile out of all of the homunculi, everyone else goes “PEH. Hoomans. look at these ants. Its pretty fun squishing them”

meanwhile Greed is the only one out of all of them that goes “Meh. I think they’re pretty okay. oH SHIT THIS ONE IS GONNA GET THEMSELVES KILLED!”

Greed survives with ling AU hands down

Of course, it can have two meaning.

One obvious meaning is the way MC considers Shian to be a child, a living individual who needs to be protected after being treated as a toy by mortals. Someone to deserves more than what was given to them.

The other meaning is how MC is finding it difficult to seperate Shian and their heart. Between Shian, a homunculus who acts and can be just like a living mortal, and MC's beating heart; which is more important?

Players will be able to choose how they feel about Shian with the growing chapters. As is Shian a breathing homunculus child deserving of life, or no more than just a vessel to dispose of when MC can finally get their heart back?

Was cleaning out my phone gallery, and I had forgotten that I screen shots saved of an Aris and Thuban from @spider-lilies-if @fell-star-if made on Heros Forge.

I could see Aris getting to know and bonding with both the Harbinger and Shian, wanting to help Thuban once he learns Shian "literally" holds her heart. He's a single parent he knows what it's like to want to go to any lengths to protect your child and give them a good life. Besides, Aris has enough knowledge about homunculus that he could probably figure out a safe way to give Shian a heart and return Thuban's.

Tbh there is something oddly romantic about the concept of a king who is capable of literally holding the heart of the Harbinger in his hands and chooses to give it back to her, because it would save her child's life.

Not to mention, it would definitely capture Thuban's attention, and it's fun to imagine Aris reaction when she starts showing romantic interest in him. Just the mental image of Aris losing his stoicism and becoming flustered when the Harbinger herself flirtatious tease him by saying "if you're so willing to return my own heart back to me without hesitation, would you also give me your heart if I desired it?"

Although considering Aris' personality, Thuban may have to clarify that she didn't mean his actual heart. Would be a hilarious misunderstanding, tho, Thuban trying to flirt with Aris and he's thinking oh well she is the Harbinger, makes sense she'd be more than capable of taking him out if he lost himself and became a threat. Not how Aris imagined dying, but ngl it would be a huge honor to have someone as experienced and awe inspiring as Thuban be the one to end his life. Until Thuban explains she wants to court him, she knows she's hasn't dated in a couple of centuries, but is she really so rusty? Also, it's kind of too soon to ask about a mercy killing. That's more the kind of thing you talk about in a committed relationship (Thuban might say this jokingly, but she's probably been around long enough that she may have had to end a loved ones life out of mercy).

Lbr Thuban is known as a Harbinger for a reason. Yes she can be charming and likes to dress elegantly but she's still a beastly eldritch being of blood and chaos. The fact that the scientists that resurrected Thuban thought putting her heart in a child homunculus likes Shian would be a good idea to keep her in check?!

For such educated folks Amaryllis and the others woefully under estimate Thuban for not considering the possibility of her imprinting on Shian and going full on Mama bear.

Good job morons you just made an ancient and powerful being even more dangerous by triggering protective Maternal instincts!

Finally figured out a travel look for my @fell-star-if Harbinger Thuban and Shian in their little fur trimmed jacket. I figure Thuban would wear a fur boa, both for fashion and to help comfort Shian when she can't have her tail or Lüri out in public.

Some concept art of Lüri, the six eyed void wolf a bloodmagic Harbinger can potentially summon in the @fell-star-if demo, and a few funny doodles of Thuban treating the great void beast as one of her kids. I figure Thuban adopting Shian probably isn't even the first time she got immediate emotionally attached to someone and took them in, especially considering how little Lüri was when they were first formed from the void. Though I guess that would technically make Lüri Shian's older sibling? 🤔

Eh adopting a six eyed wolf and a homunculus isn't the strangest thing. I mean look there are plenty of chaotic beings irl mythology, religion, and folklore that have both animal and humanoid looking offspring. Just look at Loki!

Still having more @fell-star-if @spider-lilies-if Aris x Harbinger feels, specifically blended family feels. Tbh I could see Aris and Thuban's family dynamics being similar to The Addams family, so I used a promo photo of The Addams Family TV show from the 60s as inspiration for this family portrait. Because lbr the Addams family motto of "We gladly feast on those who would subdued us" would be fitting for how the Accursed King and Harbinger of Calamity would raise their kids. Sure Aris and Thuban both want Shian and Sece to grow up happy, healthy, and safe but they're both still very violently protective parents.

The family portrait features the terrifying Accursed King Aris, the ethereal Harbinger of Calamity Thuban, the level headed automaton Ren, the devoted void wolf Lüri,the precocious homunculus Shian, the adorable little princess Seleni, and her pet albino Chimera cub Baby's Breath.

Still obsessing over @fell-star-if and came up with some possible wardrobe looks for my Harbinger and Shian. Also a comparison of my Harbinger Thuban's various forms (I couldn't decide if I should make her tall or petite, so I figured why not both? Besides the horns probably make her look taller)

Considering this is probably the first time Shian gets to learn how to make decisions for themselves, I could see them experimenting with fashion and gender presentation. Especially since Thuban would encourage it, she looks a lot differently than when she first was formed from the Void. She's had centuries to experiment and change her form until she decided she felt most comfortable identifying as a woman.
