You guys asked for it and I was happy to oblige !!! I finally got around to building this Sims 2 eclectic & cozy residential cottage as a match to the Paris Café & Bakery. It was quite a challenge to build a home that had the coziness of a small witches cottage, while still maintaining a mix of modern & Parisian elements. But here we are and its perfect!

At last here it is, two builds later, and I think I did a wonderful job! With this open floor concept you can still have that small cottage look, with out it actually feeling like a small cramped cottage. There is plenty of space to entertain, read, and smustle with other sims. The addition of the backyard patio gives you a nice area to garden, grill, and even do some yoga.

Cooke Corner | Sims 2 Residential Lot Download

This sprawling single-story ranch style home built on a 4x3 lot is the perfect abode for the sim who loves to cook. There are 2 separate kitchen spaces to create confectionary delights of all kinds!

This lightly furnished home will set your sim back §180,507. Let's take a tour and see what's included (aside from the kitchens)!

There are so many places to relax after a long day spent on your feet cooking and baking!

I've mentioned how I'm more of a builder, not so much of a game player, but at one point I built lots for most of the pre-made "lot bin" families that came with the game. This particular lot was especially for the Cooke family. I never did play long enough to find him a wife and start a family, so there's only 1 bedroom on the main level, but there is some extra space in the basement (thankfully there are no rules in the game about having to have egress windows) so a larger family can live here.

Speaking of which, let's take a look at the floor plan.

1st Floor: Clockwise from left: Dining room, kitchen, half-bath, back entryway and patio, laundry room, bathroom, bedroom, garage, living room, and front entryway.

Basement: Clockwise from bottom left: Chef's kitchen (with double stoves and double fridges!), guest bedroom/2nd bedroom, closet storage space, bathroom, and office.

Ok, so maybe you love the look of the house but don't have a family that lives to create Baked Alaska and Lobster Thermidor--no problem! Tear out the kitchen and turn it into a bedroom or maybe a craft room. It's up to you!

I’ve run this home through the Lot Compressor so any random references to sims that aren’t there should be removed. I have also run this lot through the Lot Cleaner to remove any bits of buggy code. This lot comes with a shiny custom thumbnail so it has even more curb appeal in your Lots and Houses bin! 😄

This home has 4 pieces of CC, 2 of which are Maxis "Lost & Found" items that you may already have in your game (used in the downstairs bedroom). These can easily be replaced or omitted if you don’t want them though.

I die! I die! 👻 ... literally passes out, because this has to be my best Sims 2 community lot build to date! And with only 6 custom content items, this was a feat that I did not think I would be able to accomplish! In fact, it took me about 4 months to complete this build; that's human months, not Sims months—haha. What a challenge! Available for download now!

The original house model that I used to renovate is here and it's really well done by a brilliant builder/designer called @plumbtales. Go check out their builds - they are amazing!

I'm finally sharing this lot some of you guys asked me about! It was previously occupied, so please keep that in mind, but I have cleaned it of all sim references and potential bugs. 🪳

It's a lofty type house with three floors (floor plan pics under the cut and also an unedited preview of the lot). I literally always forget to write down how much lots cost, so forgive me for that. 🤡 Please use Clean Installer!

Hope Court

Welcome to Hope Court! Former home of Mrs. Crumplebottom and her late husband Robert. The newlyweds first moved in shortly after their honeymoon and were a very quiet and private couple. After the demise of Mr. Crumplebottom, Mrs. Crumplebottom continued on in her residence, glaring at her neighbors when they displayed any affections. Children weren’t allowed to be rambunctious in her presence and flirting would get residents a handbag across the head.

The Landlord of Hope Court became overwhelmed by the flood of complaints and word quickly spread of the uninhabitable homes as fed up residents moved out. Not able to convince anyone to rent a space, the homes slowly began to lose value and become home to an overflow of squatters. The owner, Malcom Landgrabb III , eventually fired the Landlord and paid Mrs. Crumplebottom to relocated to the Downtown area where there is a constant flow of townies to terrorize.

Mr. Landgrabb invested millions of dollars to completely redevelop the area and bring back the beauty it once had.  A new, competent, landlord was hired and residents gladly moved in.

Hope Court has 8 townhomes ready to rent, furnished or unfurnished, with a rent fee ranging from $2,490 - $3,200 (unfurnished) and  $2,506 - $3,315 (furnished).

All homes have at least 2 bedrooms and modern appliances. There is a beautiful park at the end of the street with a refreshing swimming pool and lovely playground area.

So right before I finally built Veridia for real last year, I was slowly working on a Generic European-Flavor custom vacation hood for Middleground, and I built this giant hotel and never posted it:

I was trying to remember why I never shared pictures of it, but I realized I never totally finished the inside and that's probably why. It was meant to be, like, a manor house converted into a bougie hotel.

I spent so much time landscaping this lot. You can't tell, lmao.

It has a hedge maze. A neighborhood deco one, but it's there!

That awning was annoying/my favorite bit to build; the supports (struts?) are columns on an angled omsp and were so annoying to place.

I need to load it up next time I put my regular CC folders in, because I actually really liked that bar you can see on the ground floor.
