Why Mintcad Created Its Own 3D Printing Slicer?

Technically speaking, the 3D printing slicer converts the STL file (Stereolithography or Standard Tessellation Language) into the G-code that commands the printer. Parts of a Slicer Software
The slicing software has two major front end and back-end components i.e., the GUI and the logical algorithmic component respectively.
Front-End GUI

Back-End Logic

You can add a single outline known as skirt surrounding the object on the print bed without actually touching the object.
A brim made of a few concentric layers gets attached to the edges of the 3D model and extend from the print bed. It keeps the print in place preventing warping while the printer works on the part.
A 3D printing support raft is a bit wider than the first layer of the print and placed beneath the object to print. It functions as the base support of the print.
All three graphical elements are easily detachable and hence the output print is an exact replica of the input file.
You can further set various print settings like the layer heights, infill percent, speed of printing, optimized print path, temperature of the extruder, filament diameter, nozzle diameter, print bed shape, etc.

I downloaded this Old Paddle Wheel Steam Boat from prusaprinters.org and and used the new paint feature for the MMU2S in PrusaSlicer 3.4.0 Alpha1 to make a three color version. It worked impressively well and I printed it on my Prusa i3 MK3S with MMU2S by @josefprusa. And to answer your question... Yes it floats too. Check out the rest of the pictures. Presépio feito na minha #Stella2 da @boaimpressao3d com filamento Metall Azul Safira #Material3D . Esse é um exemplo do pq não gosto dos suportes do Meshmixer, algo sempre sai ruim. Neste caso a estrela, tinha suporte suficiente, e três buracos onde o suporte ficou agarrado literalmente, 1 no rosto de José e 2 na base. Prefiro gastar mais usando o do #Slic3r que saem legais do que usar do meshmixer. O velho ditado: o barato sai caro! Os outros 5 que fiz no slic3r ficaram perfeitos apesar da quantidade de suportes.
