These panels always get me feeling things because Law was given the angle to lie--all he had to say was the Strawhats were his subordinates and the Marines would leave them alone. It was called to attention for the readers too, through Caesar pointing it out. If he wanted to betray the Strawhats here, it would've been the perfect opportunity with an Admiral arresting them.

However, Law didn't lie and confirmed the alliance to be true. He also made sure to emphasize that the Strawhats and him are equals.

(I also checked the raw scans for this and Law says "麦わら" (mugiwara) which is up for interpretation: he could be referring to Luffy here unlike Fujitora who referred the Strawhats as a group "麦わらの一味" (mugiwara no ichimi). It's a small detail and Luffy is the captain of the Strawhats so it's association, either way.)

It's insane to stumble on discussions years ago about Law possibly betraying the Strawhats because this happened and instead of saving his hide, Law decided to buy some time for them.

Chapter 1121 may be the simplest or most direct chapter in the entire series up to this point.

Believing in wisdom and in science are noted as being important. And someone who Joyboy would approve of is mentioned.

I see this chapter as being centered around asking one question, "what will it take to become Pirate King?"

I think this will end up being subverted, though if the answer to that question for the Straw Hats is, "their captain has a special devil fruit," the same one Joyboy had, then the story becomes very different than the story it is for every arc prior to the current. It may be a while until we get that answer, though I think we will get it.

Buggy and Shanks knew Roger, who learned the story of Joyboy's life, though Roger having been their captain isn't really presented as something that gives them an advantage in becoming Pirate King.

Luffy has met Robonosuke, Joyboy's companion, which got me wondering if Roger and his crew learned of Robonosuke's existence, while they were on Laugh Tale.

Love Bonney getting her emotional catharsis of beating Saturn, that damn gyuki. Luffy encouraging her to face her fears, similar to how the crew did that for Tama and for Momo, is great to see as well.

Robonosuke is likely preparing to deal with the boar and the worm, leaving Nusjuro to be dealt with, if he continues chasing after the Straw Hats. The Cipher Pol drama is going to still to I imagine, and we may yet see a proper follow up/reaction to Atlas's actions in 1120.

That's what I'm looking at for the remainder of this arc, now that the broadcast really seems to be winding down, and showing some characters(Hi Marco! You're new in this lineup of broadcast listeners, I hope you are doing well,) we've seen listening a second or third time.

i think more worldbuilding should include more numbering systems. like obviously when creating a fake world or language our first thought is to take the basic 0-9 and make a representation of those, but does it actually make sense for your people here to be using base 10? what about base 2, base 16, other systems we use and systems we dont commonly use? what would make the most sense in the context?

Well, it is not a real """enemy""", hence why I used three whole pairs of quotation marks and not one x) And it is a singular, not plural.

The problem with BB fandom is that it is like... in a crisis? Not only the truly active part of it is like, same 20 people for years now, but also there is a hegemony of the same characters, same ships, same takes, same headcanons, same designs for unseen characters... People that join in the fandom see what fans are up to, but since most of the activity is the popular girls (gender neutral) of the school who are all tight mutuals group doing the thing of the week they share (usually when it happens you can blame a Discord server), these new people assume that this is what will fly, also that this is what is "canon". They're yet to discover that there are different interpretations, different possibilities, alternative ships..... but they now will not, because they already got swayed by influence. The cycle continues.

The """enemy""", that I only call such because we seriously didn't get along as people and not because they did something bad, is very different though! They are not annoying! They appear to be an individualist, they are touching ideas and characters fandom practically abandoned, they draw what THEY like and not what is a current set fun trend, they do not try to throw a bone to the community-

It is just refreshing to see something unique and interesting! I am the type that actually goes insane if I have to see the same thing over and over. I'd start hating my favorite ships if I never could see alternatives, ffs! My idea of ideal small fandom is various individuals doing cool stuff and simply sharing with each other, rather than there being a "core" that sets the trends and everyone outside of these trends being passively-aggressively ignored for "wrong" takes, "wrong" ships or "characters no one will care about". There should be more users that radiate such strong individuality and creativity instead of resorting to being just another gear in the machine! I would not be as petty as to wish for someone actually interesting to leave the fandom over personal things. My real enemies, on the other hand, are not creative at all. Well, one of them used to be but completely lost the spark.

in terms of true fanfic, i'd have to say thats asomatous . that fic absolutely reconstructed how i go about writing, since it really just turned out Right.

but, if i bend it a little to include some of my more. original-but-still-inherently-fannish works, then i mean. i have to point to where the dust settles (which i swear im working on its not abandoned ive just been plagued by terralith)

Still a WIP but I've been working on making Reena's formal wear outfit for the sims 4 from this beautiful art I commissioned and my reference art for it.

I converted the "Celeb dress" from cyberpunk 2077 with edited/custom textures, and added some more bands to the legs and lekku.
