Androbesity
BHM Weight Gain / Masculinization
Just chapters 1-4 for now.
Chapter 1: The Campus
Nestled in the arid desert between Las Vegas and Palm Springs, far from the prying eyes of the world, lies the Androbesity Campus. A sanctuary designed for a singular purpose: to normalize and encourage obesity in adult men. This secluded haven, reminiscent of a luxury resort, is an ambitious social experiment aimed at redefining societal norms and offering a new perspective on health, community, and self-worth.
The concept of Androbesity was born from the minds of visionary thinkers who saw an opportunity to challenge the pervasive stigmas surrounding obesity. They believed in celebrating the intelligence and unique attributes of obese men, providing them a space to thrive without the constraints of a society that often judges them harshly. Thus, the Androbesity program was established, inviting one man from each U.S. state and territory, including Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, and American Samoa, to live on the campus for four years, from ages 22 to 25.
Each year, 54 men are selected based on three criteria: high intelligence, significant obesity, and a commitment to fully participating in an experimental community. These men are chosen not just for their physical attributes but also for their potential to contribute intellectually and socially to the community. By the end of the four-year cycle, the campus hosts 216 residents, creating a diverse and dynamic environment.
Located in the harsh, sun-baked desert, the Androbesity Campus is a self-contained oasis where no one needs to venture outside. The campus is also a hub for research into supporting the complications and modifications required by an obese adult population. AO Corp, the organization behind Androbesity, is developing products designed to promote obesity and make it more socially desirable. Their efforts extend to media development, including informational programming, reality shows, and scripted series, all aimed at making an obese lifestyle more visible and accepted. Some former AO Men have already transitioned into careers as paid actors for AO Media, becoming the faces of this new movement.
The men arrive at Androbesity with varied backgrounds, each bringing their unique perspectives and experiences. They are introduced to a world where their size is not just accepted but celebrated. Here, they live and work remotely, supported by state-of-the-art facilities that cater to their every need. The campus is equipped with luxurious living quarters, expansive recreational areas, and cutting-edge technology, all designed to foster a sense of belonging and well-being.
Upon arrival, the new residents are greeted by a welcoming committee of peers and staff who guide them through the orientation process. The campus is a self-sustaining ecosystem, with each resident contributing to the community through remote work and participation in communal activities. The emphasis is on building a supportive network where every individual feels valued and empowered.
Among the new cohort are diverse individuals such as:
- Malik from New York, a talented musician whose creativity flourishes in the supportive environment of Androbesity. His initial skepticism about the program gives way to appreciation as he finds himself inspired by the communal spirit and the freedom to express himself without judgment.
- Joshua from South Carolina, a dedicated software developer who finds the campus’s advanced technological infrastructure ideal for his work. He discovers that the environment not only enhances his professional life but also provides a supportive community that encourages personal growth.
- Diego from Puerto Rico, an innovative entrepreneur who sees the potential in AO Corp’s mission. He brings his entrepreneurial spirit to the campus, collaborating on new product ideas and enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded individuals.
- Matt from Wisconsin, a former athlete whose journey to obesity has been one of both physical and emotional transformation. He finds solace in the acceptance and understanding offered by the Androbesity community, allowing him to redefine his identity and embrace his new lifestyle.
The gates of Androbesity symbolize a threshold to a new way of life, one where these men can explore their potential without societal pressures. The campus, with its lush gardens, sparkling lakes, and modern architecture, is a place of beauty and tranquility. It is a closed society, with strict privacy measures in place to ensure that the residents can live freely without external scrutiny. Visitors are allowed only on designated visiting days, twice a month, ensuring that the integrity and serenity of the community are maintained.
As the first chapter of this epic unfolds, we follow the journey of these men, each from a different part of the United States and its territories. Their stories will delve into their daily lives, their interactions, and the unique social structures that develop within this experimental community. It will explore how Androbesity reshapes their identities, fosters deep bonds, and creates a space where they can redefine what it means to live fully and unapologetically as obese men in modern America.
Through their stories, we will witness the power of acceptance, the strength of community, and the profound impact of living in an environment free from the limitations imposed by conventional societal norms. Welcome to Androbesity, where a new chapter in the lives of these remarkable men begins.
Chapter 2: Guaranteed Gains
From the moment they step through the gates of Androbesity, the men are enveloped in a sense of liberation. Here, their obesity is not just accepted but embraced, and they are encouraged to explore the fullness of life without the typical societal constraints. Yet, hidden within the layers of welcoming gestures and luxurious amenities lies an unspoken truth: weight gain is not just an expectation, but a requirement.
Buried in the fine print of their contracts is the clause that binds them to a pact of inevitable transformation. Each year, the Board of Directors of Androbesity convenes in a secret meeting to determine the minimum weight gain for that year. The specifics vary, depending on the scenarios the Board wishes to explore and the occupations of the men. This calculated approach ensures that each individual’s experience aligns with the overarching goals of the experiment.
The men are never informed of the exact minimum weight they are expected to gain. Instead, they are monitored closely, and if they fall behind, they are gently but firmly guided back on track. Monthly assessments by Androbesity’s team of specialized doctors ensure that every resident is progressing towards the unseen target. The corrective actions are subtle yet effective, tailored to ensure compliance without overt confrontation.
Resistance is not uncommon. Some men, buoyed by their newfound freedom, may attempt to assert control over their bodies, choosing to eat less or even trying to lose weight. These periods of rebellion are anticipated by Androbesity, serving as opportunities to test and refine their methods for countering diet resistance. The doctors at Androbesity, known as AO Doctors, never argue or confront. Instead, they employ a range of psychological and physiological strategies designed to ensure compliance.
For example, Malik from New York, a talented musician, initially resists the constant indulgence. His strict regime soon falters under the relentless hospitality of Androbesity. Meals are tailored to his tastes, abundant and irresistible. The supportive environment subtly reinforces positive associations with overeating, making resistance increasingly futile.
Joshua from South Carolina, a disciplined and health-conscious software developer, tries to maintain his previous eating habits. However, his environment soon proves too tempting. The campus's advanced technological infrastructure and social activities make it easy for him to lose track of his calorie intake.
Diego from Puerto Rico, an innovative entrepreneur, views the mandated weight gain as a challenge to his autonomy. His initial attempts to maintain his weight are met with increased social activities centered around food. The pressure is never overt, but the implications are clear—he is expected to participate fully in the culinary culture of Androbesity.
Matt from Wisconsin, a former athlete, struggles with the psychological aspects of his weight gain. His competitive nature drives him to challenge the system, but the community's acceptance and understanding begin to erode his resistance.
As the year progresses, each man’s journey towards the mandated weight gain becomes a testament to Androbesity’s underlying mission. The methods employed to ensure compliance are meticulously documented, providing invaluable data for the Board. These strategies, once perfected, hold the potential to extend beyond the campus, influencing societal norms and promoting universal male obesity.
The men, immersed in their lives on the campus, become living experiments in a controlled environment designed to reshape their identities and physicalities. The careful balance of freedom and control, indulgence and discipline, creates a unique dynamic where resistance is met with gentle yet unwavering redirection.
Chapter 3: The Call
The camera panned over the serene, sun-soaked landscape of the Androbesity campus, capturing its pristine beauty before cutting to a close-up of Malik, seated comfortably on a plush armchair in his well-appointed room. The setting was warm and inviting, designed to put him at ease as he prepared to share his story with the world. The AO Media team had set up the perfect ambiance, with soft lighting and a backdrop that highlighted the modern elegance of the campus.
Malik took a deep breath, his dark eyes reflecting a mix of emotions as he began to speak. "When I got the call from Androbesity, it was a moment of pure disbelief. I mean, how often do you get a call telling you that you’re both incredibly intelligent and, well, significantly overweight?"
He chuckled softly, the sound tinged with a hint of irony. "It’s a strange combination, right? Society doesn’t often put those two things together. You’re either seen as the smart guy or the fat guy, rarely both. But here I was, being recognized for my intelligence and my size. It was surreal."
The video cut to scenes of Malik’s life before Androbesity: a cluttered apartment in New York, stacks of music sheets on a piano, and glimpses of his bustling life as a musician. The narration continued over these images, providing a glimpse into the world he had left behind.
"I was always torn between my passions and my appearance," Malik explained. "Music was my escape, but my weight was always this shadow hanging over me. When the call came, it felt like someone had finally seen me for who I really am—a talented, intelligent man who also happens to be obese."
The video shifted back to Malik in his room, his expression growing more introspective. "There’s a conflict that comes with that call. On one hand, you’re flattered and excited. Androbesity is prestigious. It’s an honor to be chosen. But then there’s the other part of you that questions it. Am I really that fat? Can I really leave my life behind for four years?"
He paused, his gaze drifting as if recalling the moment vividly. "But then you think about the opportunity. The chance to be part of something bigger than yourself. To be in a place where your size isn’t a burden but a badge of honor. And the more you think about it, the harder it becomes to say no."
The scene transitioned to Malik walking through the campus, interacting with fellow residents, and engaging in various activities. The sense of community and acceptance was palpable, a stark contrast to the isolation he had often felt back in New York.
"Androbesity isn’t just about living with your size," Malik continued. "It’s about gaining perspective, gaining confidence. Here, you’re not just accepted; you’re celebrated. Your intelligence, your talents, your size—they all matter. They all make you who you are."
The camera zoomed in on Malik’s face, capturing the sincerity and depth of his words. "So, why don’t you say no? Because deep down, you know this is a chance to be part of something revolutionary. To challenge the norms, to embrace who you are fully. It’s not just an experiment; it’s a new way of life. And that’s something you just can’t walk away from."
While Malik spoke passionately about the community and acceptance at Androbesity, he never mentioned the weight gain explicitly. This unspoken rule was well understood among the residents. Discussions about their weight and the expectations surrounding it were kept private, shared only with trusted friends and the AO Doctors. On camera, the focus remained on the positive aspects of their experience, maintaining the program's image of empowerment and self-discovery.
The video ended with a panoramic view of the Androbesity campus at sunset, the sky ablaze with colors, symbolizing the dawn of a new era for men like Malik. As the screen faded to black, Malik’s final words resonated in the silence: "This is where we redefine what it means to be smart, to be fat, to be human."
Chapter 4: The Bottomless Plate
Matt sat at the long dining table, the last of his fellow residents having long since left. He speared the final piece of roast beef from the platter in front of him and savored it, wondering if tonight would be the night they told him he couldn't have more. The thought gnawed at him, almost as much as his insatiable appetite.
In his former life in Wisconsin, Matt was accustomed to being told when enough was enough. At every buffet and family gathering, there came a point when someone would gently suggest he’d had his fill. But here at Androbesity, things were different. No one had yet told him to stop, and the abundance seemed limitless.
"Can I get more of that dessert?" he asked a passing server, pointing to the now-empty plate of chocolate cake.
"Of course, Mr. Matt," the server replied with a smile, heading back to the kitchen without hesitation.
Matt leaned back in his chair, his belly pressing against the table. He glanced around, noting the discreet cameras mounted in the corners of the dining hall. He knew they were there, but he didn't realize their full purpose. AO Media captured every meal he consumed, creating timelapse videos of his expanding stomach. These videos were studied in board meetings, analyzed for insights into their subjects' growth and behavior.
While Matt feared the day they might say no, AO Corp had no intention of letting that happen. His voracious appetite was precisely what they wanted to encourage, a living testament to their philosophy. The more he ate, the more valuable his data became for their research and media content. They were always prepared to bring more food, always ready to satisfy his cravings
Yet, the staff maintained the illusion of potential limits. They never outright offered more food unprompted; they waited for Matt to ask, ensuring he felt a sense of agency and uncertainty.
As he waited for his dessert, Matt pondered his peculiar situation. "They'll have to cut me off someday," he mused, half to himself. "No one can eat like this forever without someone stepping in."
But the truth was, the staff had no plans to curb his consumption. The more Matt ate, the more compelling his story became for AO Media, and the more data they collected on his extraordinary growth. His gradual transformation was a critical part of their secret plan to understand and promote the acceptance of obesity.
The server returned with a generous slice of chocolate cake, even larger than the last. Matt's eyes widened with delight as he dug in, savoring every rich bite. The cameras recorded his every move, capturing the subtle changes in his body with each meal.
"Enjoy, Mr. Matt," the server said warmly before leaving him to his feast.
Matt wondered how long this unlimited bounty could last. He finished the cake, feeling the familiar mix of satisfaction and curiosity. But for now, there were no limits in sight, only the promise of more.
And so, he continued to indulge, blissfully unaware of the true extent of Androbesity's plans. The staff remained ever accommodating, refilling his plate as many times as he requested, ensuring that Matt's journey of growth would never be interrupted.

Pentagon said it fully supports Turkey's acquisition of F-16 fighters

The Turkish Air Force may soon have new F-16s in its fleet, with the Biden administration giving full support to proceed with the sale.
“The U.S. Department of Defense fully supports Turkey's modernization plans for its F-16 fleet. These plans are underway," Celeste Wallander, Deputy Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs of the Pentagon, said on Wednesday.
She said that the U.S. "sup supports the modernization of its fighter fleet by Turkey because this is a contribution to NATO security and therefore to American security."
Ankara sent a formal request to purchase 40 new F-16V Block 70 jets and 80 modernization kits in September 2021. The contract should reach US$ 6 billion. Turkey hopes to develop its own jets; but in the meantime, it is late to retire its F-4 jets and wants to upgrade its F-16C/D fleet as a provisional measure.

Wallander's comments come shortly after Turkish President Erdogan abandoned his opposition to Swedish and Finnish proposals to join NATO, bringing the alliance closer to strengthen his eastern front with Russia.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham announced his support for the U.S. decision to upgrade Turkey's F-16 fighter fleet.

"I support the Biden administration's decision to support the sale of new F-16s to our NATO ally, Turkey," Graham, who represents South Carolina, wrote on Twitter.
"Although we have differences with Turkey, they are allies of NATO and it is in the interest of U.S. national security to strengthen their capabilities in a problematic region," he wrote.
He added that the update of "Turkish aviation capacity will benefit Turkey, the US, NATO and regional security".

In May, the Biden administration asked Congress to approve a separate sale of weapons and equipment upgrades to Turkey's F-16 fleet, which is expected to exceed $500 million. Informal reviews submitted to Congress include the proposed sale of AMRAAM missiles, Sidewinder missiles and software and hardware updates to the F-16 cockpits already in Turkey.
Erdogan is now seeking to capitalize on a relatively positive atmosphere in relations with the alliance and the U.S. after a period of icy ties over the purchase of Russian S-400 air defense systems by his government. This led the Pentagon to remove Turkey from the multibillion-dollar program to buy - and help build - F-35 Lightning II fighter jets. Washington argued that the S-400s can be used ?? by the Russians to collect information about the poaching jet.

FLIGHTLINE: 170 - MITSUBISHI F-2
Developed from the Lockheed F-16, the F-2 is a multirole aircraft in the Japanese Air Self-Defense force, replacing the Mitsubishi F-1 in the 1980s.
In the early 1970s the JASDF began acquiring the F-1 ground attack/anti-shipping aircraft based on the Mitsubishi T-2 supersonic trainer. The F-1 served Japan well through rest of the 1970s, but by 1981 a replacement was being contemplated, with a formal study being initiated in 1985. The Japanese government, defense agencies and contractors were all highly desirous of the new aircraft being designed and built domestically in order to grow the Japanese aviation industry. US officials, meanwhile, became concerned that an internally designed and manufactured aircraft could be of inferior quality, and might in fact damage US-Japan relations. A co-produced, or at least co-developed, alternative based on the American F-16 or F/A-18 were proposed by the Pentagon instead; pressure against Japan for this bilateral development project increased as mid-80s 'Japan-bashing' peaked with the Toshiba-Kongsberg Scandal, in which it was discovered that Toshiba sold propeller milling machinery to the Soviet Union in violation of sanctions. After months of negotiations, a joint project to develop and produce the new aircraft was announced by the Regan and Nakasone administrations. Later revisions to the MOU restricted Japanese access to flight and weapons control software and ensured that any new technology developed during the project was shared with the US.
AGILE FALCONS, INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
One of the variants of the F-16 explored but not produced was the so-called "Agile Falcon", which would have had had a larger wing, more powerful engines, as well as extensive avionics upgrades, color displays, an electronic warfare management system, reconnaissance pods, AIM-9X Sidewinder infrared air-to-air missile integration, and helmet-mounted sights. The aircraft was offered to the USAF as a low-cost alternative to the ATF program, as well as to NATO allies as a competitor to the SAAB Gripen or Dassault Rafale, but there was no interest in the plane. General Dynamics resurrected the idea as a starting point for the new JASDF strike fighter, variously designated FS-X or SX-3. The basic wing and fuselage designs remained the same, but the engines and avionics were updated and Japanese-made components were substituted whenever possible. Costs for the FS-X were split 60/40 between Japan and the US. In 1992 General Dynamics' aviation division was sold to Lockheed, making the latter company the prime US contractor. Lockheed Martin supplied the aft fuselage, leading-edge slats, stores management system, a large percentage of wingboxes, and other components. Kawasaki built the midsection of the fuselage, as well as the doors to the main wheel and the engine, while the forward fuselage and wings were built by Mitsubishi. Some of the avionics were supplied by Lockheed Martin, and the digital fly-by-wire system was jointly developed by Japan Aviation Electric and Honeywell (formerly Allied Signal). Contractors for communication systems and IFF interrogators included Raytheon, NEC, Hazeltine, and Kokusai Electric. The fire control radar, IRS, the mission computer, and the EW system were developed by Japan. In addition, the flight control computer, the flight control laws and related computer software were essentially all developed and integrated by Japan. Final assembly was done in Japan, by MHI at its Komaki-South facility in Nagoya.

DESIGN AND SPECIFICATIONS
Although based on the F-16, more than 95% of the Falcon's engineering drawings were changed for the F-2. The wings of the new plane were 25% larger, with thee skin, spars, ribs and wing caps were made from graphite/epoxy composite in order to cut down on weight. In addition to the larger wing and tail, the nose is longer and wider to accommodate the J/APG-1 active electronically scanned radar (AESA) (the F-2 was the first operational military aircraft to carry one, beating the F-22 Raptor). The intake was also enlarged, feeding more air into a GE F110 turbofan. The F-16's single piece bubble canopy was changed to a three piece unit. The F-2 is equipped with a drogue parachute, similar to one fitted to certain export models of the F-16. Given its multi-mission role within the JASDF, the F-2 is capable of carrying four ASM-1 or -2 anti-ship missiles, free-fall bombs (with or without imaging infra-red seekers), JDAM bombs, JLAU-3/A rocket pods, and AAM-3, -4, -5, AIM-9 or AIM-7 air-to-air missiles. FLIR and Sniper laser-designation pods can also be fitted. A 20mm cannon is also carried.
Two models of the F-2 have been produced, the F-2A single seat model and the F-2B trainer, though both are the same dimensions. F-2s are 15.52m long, with a wingspan of 11.125m (10.8m not counting wingtip missile rails) and the wing has an area of 34.84m2. Max TO weight is 22,100kg, including 4,600l of fuel (just less than 4,000l for the F-2B). Combat range of the F-2 is 833km, increasable with drop tanks or aerial refueling. Maximum speed of the F-2 is Mach 1.7 at high altitude, and max ceiling is 18,000m.

PRODUCTION AND INTRODUCTION
Maiden flight of the F-2 was on 7 October 1995, with four prototypes and two static test airframes completed. An initial order for 141 aircraft was signed in 1995, but this was later cut to 130, with deliveries completed by 1999. Structural deficiencies in the prototypes delayed introduction until 2000. During this time, the order was cut again, down to 98 aircraft (including the four prototypes). The last F-2 was delivered on 27 September 2011, at which point Mitsubishi closed the line. F-2s were delivered to five squadrons or groups within the JASDF, the first being the Air Development and Test Wing at Gifu AB.

Training is conducted by the 21st Fighter Training Squadron, 4th Air Wing, at Matsushima AB. As a result of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, 13 of the 21 F-2Bs assigned to the 21st were damaged, and 5 destroyed. Repairs to the F-2s was completed by 2016, and was estimated at 80 billion JPY. Two other F-2Bs have been destroyed in accidents, one in 2007 as a result of faulty wiring after a refurbishment and a second in 2019 for reasons that have not been released.

There are three operational units of the F-2A: the 3rd Tactical Fighter Squadron, 3rd Air Wing at Misawa AB, and the 6th and 8th TFS, 8th Wing at Tsuiki AB. In addition to strike missions, the F-2 has proved to be adept at interception and escort missions, as the JASDF proved in 2013 when 4 F-2s were scrambled to intercept a pair of Russian Air Force Su-27s near Hokkaido on 7 February 2013. On 22 August 2013 F-2s were again scrambled to intercept two Tu-142 Bear-F aircraft near Kyushu.

THE FUTURE
The F-2 is scheduled to be replaced by the Mitsubishi F-X (unofficially known as the F-3 Godzilla) some time in the mid-2030. The F-X will be a sixth generation, domestically developed stealth aircraft, currently anticipated to have its maiden flight in 2028.

Rafael and Hensoldt will develop electronic warfare capabilities for German Eurofighter jets
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 10/22/2022 - 14:00 in Military
Rafael, from Israel, joined the German company HENSOLDT to offer a solution to the requirements of the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) for airborne electronic warfare capabilities with initial operational capacity (IOC) in 2028.
The exclusive partnership agreement was signed in Tel Aviv on October 18, by Thomas Müller, CEO HENSOLDT, and Maj. Gen (retired) Yoav Har-Even, President and CEO of RAFAEL.

RAFAEL and HENSOLDT agreed to embark on a joint effort to integrate and improve RAFAEL's Sky Shield electronic air war pod as a mature and ready-to-use Escort Jammer (ESJ), with HENSOLDT's latest national sensitive electronic air attack (KALAETRON Attack) technology. This new capability supports the Luftwaffe's decision to adapt the Eurofighter Typhoon to an electronic attack platform. The new EA pod uses the existing Litening Pod interfaces, already proven in combat in Typhoon, significantly simplifying integration efforts and saving invaluable resources.
Together, RAFAEL and HENSOLDT bring the necessary experience not only as solution providers for ESJ, but also in the Eurofighter program environment and related integration and certification processes.

HENSOLDT has developed the "Kalaetron Attack" air interference system that recently confirmed its effectiveness against several enemy air defense radars. It is part of HENSOLDT's fully digital 'Kalaetron' product family, which is used in self-protection and signal intelligence systems in the German armed forces. In addition to the elements of cognitive software, the core comprises a fully digitized broadband sensor and a jammer defined by electronically controllable software.
Metallic 3D printing allowed a condensed design of electronic components so that the jammer can be easily integrated into commonly used pod formats ?? around the world or directly on bodies of various flying platforms. The effectiveness and responsiveness of the system are also based on artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, which allow the classification of unknown threats in the field and the rapid evaluation of large amounts of data.

RAFAEL's Sky Shield Escort Jammer is a ready-to-use military solution already delivered to several customers around the world, thus allowing easy integration into fast jet platforms. By using Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) technology, the only broadband interference pod covers the present and future high frequency band, providing a high effective radiation power (ERP). The Sky Shield is capable of generating simultaneous transmissions of interference and deception against various threats. Some of RAFAEL's airborne solutions are in service in Germany, including the LITENING and RECCELITE Electro-Optic pods in the Luftwaffe Eurofighter Typhoon.

im learning a lot from you but i have a question. one of my friends currently lives in Japan and there was an alarm gping off because north korea launched a missle and could possibly it japan. now i have a feeling that north korea doesnt intend on killing people at random like that. can you explain the whole situation?
The Japanese government and affiliated nationalist organizations utilize the missile tests of the DPRK to build support for the continuing military build-up within Japan as support for the projection of imperialist interests grow. We must not forget that Japan, a state which brutally occupied the Korean peninsula over 70 years ago, still has strained relations with both the North and South concerning this topic and their refusal to admit any substantial wrongdoing. The Japanese government has taken a far more aggressive stance against the DPRK than the RoK has in decades. When maintaining and developing a missile deterrent, tests need to be conducted to ensure capability and to demonstrate said capability to aggressive foreign powers. Tests allow a state to ensure new software and hardware functions, allows a state to ensure older systems are still capable, allows a state to catch any possible flaws which may reduce the effectiveness of said missiles, and make tweaks to their arsenal in response. The DPRK has fired missiles into the East Sea for decades, not as a move of “intimidation” against Japan so much as firing into the sea being incredibly standard practice for any state testing ballistic missiles. If a failure occurs, the debris is far less likely to come crashing down on civilian areas, while spent stages will fall into the sea rather than into fields. The only tests which could truly be considered “aggressive”, the two Hwasong-12s fired over Japan and into the Pacific, only occurred after Japanese (and u$) aggression reached its highest levels in years. We must remember as well that the two firings over Japan occurred only a few weeks after the u$ tested a Minuteman III ICBM, firing one 6,800 kilometres Westwards from Vandenberg AFB to Kwajalein Atoll. Hypocrisy and the build-up of fear among their populace is the game of the u$ and its allies, Japan included. The DPRK has continuously shown their focus on military targets in a potential engagement far more so than civilian ones. A deterrence plan must involve a focus on both tactical targets (such as military bases) and strategic targets (such as cities) yet even then the DPRK has primarily focused on tactical rather than strategic targets. For an example, their threats against Guam are often painted as simply ‘threatening u$ citizens’ despite the existence of Naval Base Guam (which contains substantial assets of the u$ Navy Pacific Fleet) and Andersen Air Force Base (which is the only base in the Western Pacific which can permanently host B-1, B-2, and B-52 bombers). Even within and around Seoul and Busan, the known and believed primary targets for DPRK missile forces are military, and not only military but u$ military. Primary targets within the RoK have been identified as Camp Humphreys, Osan Air Base, Camp Casey, Yongsan Garrison, Camp Red Cloud, Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae, Camp Carroll, Camp George, Camp Henry, and Camp Walker. On the other side of the East Sea in Japan, primary targets have been identified as Iwakuni Marine Corps Air Station, Kadena Air Base, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Camp Zama, Yokota Air Base, Misawa Air Base, and Sasebo Naval Base. Across these bases are hundreds of combat aircraft at any given time, with the capacity to operate thousands, alongside dozens of warships, and nearly 100,000 u$ soldiers (with the capacity to field several times that number.) Often ignored as well is that it is suspected that the u$ military command in both Japan and South Korea are believed to possess arsenals of tactical nuclear weapons, largely in the form of cruise missiles. The point of all of this is that the u$ is the primary enemy of the DPRK, not the RoK or Japan despite their aggression. Unless the u$ and its allies begin carpet bombing the DPRK, there is no threat of the DPRK attacking civilian targets in Japan, the RoK, or even the u$, regardless of how desperate the warhawks are to convince the people otherwise.

The Briefing: US Sues Facebook And Gets Reply, Cleo Raises $44M For Finance Bot, And More
US sues Facebook for monopolistic practices, gets reply
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission filed suit against Facebook, alleging that the company is illegally maintaining its personal social networking monopoly through a years-long course of anticompetitive conduct.
The filing follows a lengthy investigation in cooperation with a coalition of attorneys general of 46 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam. The suit alleges that Facebook has engaged in a systematic strategy—including its 2012 acquisition of Instagram, its 2014 acquisition of the mobile messaging app WhatsApp, and the imposition of anticompetitive conditions on software developers—to eliminate threats to its monopoly.
In its online response, Facebook called the charges “revisionist history,” given that regulators had signed off on these acquisitions years ago, arguing that “this is simply not how the antitrust laws are supposed to work.”

Wouldn't NoRK chemical weapons be met by US tac nukes? Do you think Rocket Man is crazy enough to make that gamble?
Yes, their chemical weapons would likely be met by tac-nukes.
I’ve posted about this before, in fact. The punitive strike against Syria for their use of chemical weapons against their own population demonstrates just how seriously the United States takes the need to keep the WMD genie in the bottle. Deterrence is useless if it’s not credible - people must believe that using WMD will end very, very badly for them, otherwise the massive power it offers will be impossible to pass up. This is so serious that the United States openly threatened to use tactical nukes against Iraq in retaliation if they dared to fire chemical weapons at our troops during the Gulf War. As you say, chemical weapons are Weapons of Mass Destruction, and the same rationale applies - you hit me, I hit you back.
In that older post I cover the massive power of the B-61 tactical nuclear bomb - and how that power could be exploited to swiftly and brutally smash North Korea’s own delivery systems for WMD (namely the artillery near Seoul.) To wit, our tac-nuke use wouldn’t simply be punishment to enforce deterrence, but would fill an actual operational requirement to swiftly and brutally suppress the WMD threat. As you can tell from my recent big post regarding artillery-delivered WMD on Seoul, I’ve since come to believe we’ve got an excellent chance of wiping out that artillery so fast, with conventional weapons, that even their use of WMD wouldn’t change the casualty math... but if they did dare to fire chemical artillery at Seoul, the use of B-61 bombs would not only be justified, but highly effective at saving South Korean lives.
I covered the basic mechanics of why in the older post, but two highly significant things have come to my attention since then. You may recall the hullaboo about Bush Jr. wanting to develop “nuclear bunker busters” and the ensuing [AUTISTIC SCREECHING] from the pacifist leftist cunts aghast at the prospect of bombs that release less fallout.
Well, guess what? That program was never cancelled or shelved, it’d seem - it was just rolled into the B-61 upgrade program. This has some significant consequences. In any nuclear scenario you want to limit fallout as much as possible - especially when the goal is to protect Seoul, not 30nm south of the DMZ, rather than irradiate it. Fallout happens when a nuclear blast irradiates - and then atomizes - a shitload of dirt from the ground. Thus, an airburst creates almost no poisonous fallout, whereas ground-bursts can kill a lot of people with the aftereffects. I previously noted that a B-61 set for maximum yield (340kt) airburst would produce a 20psi overpressure in a 1.2nm radius - that’s enough to level even heavily built concrete buildings (in other words, any DPRK artillery shelters/HARTS would have a very bad day if their gun ports were open, and the rest would be staying buttoned whether they wanted to or not.) The map’s software’s been updated, so have an updated link showing the calculations - as you can see, there’s no fallout. That you can “bust a bunker” without requiring a ground burst is credible - I’ve seen studies on airbursts and destructive effects, and this dynamic also exists for ICBMs - there’s an altitude at which the destructive force of the weapon is almost undiminished, and the fallout is still marginal, which is a huge consideration when you remember that most of Russia’s nuclear silos are both near Moscow, and upwind. Unfortunately, that “golden altitude” is narrow enough that nobody’s going to gamble on it when failure leaves a nuclear missile alive to kill one of your cities, and you’re working with 1980s tech trying to hit a millisecond-wide timing window after undergoing massive g-forces and re-entry. A B-61 bomb, however, doesn’t have any of these problems and is moving much slower.
The ground-penetrating bomb is still much better though. For starters, airburst effects are tricky - the optimal altitude calculations are difficult (there’s a link on the nukemap page that goes into detail,) because the shockwave hits the ground and reflects back into the blast. At some altitudes the interference is destructive, weakening the effect, and at other altitudes it’s constructive, strengthening it... and that’s just for flat ground. The very steep, mountainous terrain of Korea, especially near the DMZ, will play merry hell with blast reflections and the like, and that’ll rule out many targets. Plus, there’s some places with multiple above-ground concrete bunkers that will be efficiently slaughtered by one B-61... and there’s many that are simply dug straight into the mountainsides, and those are more problematic. In short there’s a ton of caveats to the bombs use in airburst mode, and that’ll limit its effectiveness.
The ground-penetrator has none of those issues, of course - by burying itself in rock first, it transmits shockwaves to the buried bunkers much, much more effectively, allowing for much lower yields to be set to hit the target. That also means that no bunker would be out of reach, and the shockwaves could still collapse entire bunker/tunnel systems, even deeply-buried ones or caves in mountainsides.
What the consequences for fallout would be is tricky to determine. Nobody seems to know for sure and everyone arguing either way has an agenda or an axe to grind. Going off underground could greatly limit the fallout - or greatly increase it, depending on how much of the blast escapes the crater, and that depends on the variable yield of the bomb, the local geology, etc. Planning ahead to mitigate these factors are what target planners and other high-paid military nerds do all day - I have no doubt many of them are doing this right now. This nuclear bunker-busting ability has serious consequences in a more strategic context for North Korea, of course, but just limited to defending Seoul, it definitely opens up even more options and flexibility for employing these bombs without killing a hojillion people with fallout and without setting them to full devastating rock-and-roll yields.
The second - and even more significant - factoid happened very recently, at the end of August. The next-generation version of the B-61 - with that bunker busting upgrade and the GPS guidance kit which will allow it to be applied with the precision that makes all that lovely bunker-busting, no-fallout shit I was talking about above possible - was put through a full-scale test. And apparently, it worked just fine. Now there’s a lot more to “operational” status than “worked on the test range with an army of vendors on-hand,” but when you’re talking about employing nukes, mobilizing an army of vendors and the better part of a test-range’s personnel to an overseas staging base like Guam is definitely a possibility. It’s not an exaggeration to say we probably have some limited operational capability with the new and improved B-61 right now - it’s certainly not outside of our ability to deploy now, assuming some foreknowledge/warning/planning and a concerted effort to ready the capability in-theater. Launch platforms might be limited - the F-35 is s l o w l y acquiring new weapons as the scads of software integration it requires are rolled out to the fleet, for example - but given our vast conventional capability, we can guarantee access with whatever platform we want or need to use.
It’s not often that using nukes can save many more lives than abstaining from them - but this latest iteration of the B-61, utilized against strictly military targets in a fashion that minimizes or eliminates fallout, may do just that.
I sure as hell hope our planners are seriously considering the option.
