─ .🌷✧˚Everyone’s Extra, But You’re My Dollface
˚🎀༘⋆ || katsuki bakugo x reader, pure fluff
Bakugo’s world was full of noise—explosions, egos, too-loud classmates, and quirks that screamed for attention. Everyone was extra, in his words.
Too flashy. Too talkative. Too soft. Too annoying.
So he labeled them.
Names like badges of mockery. Nicknames that clung to them like soot after one of his blasts.
“Shitty Hair,” for Kirishima.
“Half-and-Half Bastard,” for Todoroki.
“Deku,” for Midoriya—his oldest rival.
“Pinky,” “Electric Dumbass,” “Four-Eyes,” and so on.
They were insults, sure—but they stuck. Like gravel in scraped knees. That was just Bakugo.
And yet… for you?
You weren’t “extra.”
You were the quiet in his chaos.
The still moment between his heartbeats.
And so, you got something no one else did.
“Dollface.”
The first time he called you that? It slipped out during a mission debrief. Everyone was talking over each other—Mina rehashing her hero pose, Kaminari laughing at nothing, Iida trying to restore order. Bakugo sat in the corner, arms crossed, brow twitching.
And you—calm, thoughtful you—were bandaging a scrape on his arm without saying a word. Like it was nothing. Like touching his scars didn’t scare you.
He didn’t thank you. Of course not.
But when you finished, he muttered under his breath, just loud enough for you to hear:
“…Thanks, Dollface.”
You blinked.
“What did you call me?”
His ears turned red, but his glare dared you to challenge it. “Got a problem?”
“…No,” you whispered, cheeks warm. “Just... didn’t expect that.”
“Tch. Don’t get used to it.”
Spoiler: you did. He just didn’t stop.
One morning in class, you sat quietly, tracing the rim of your coffee mug while Aizawa droned on about combat strategy. Everyone else, naturally, couldn’t shut up.
Kirishima was cracking jokes, Denki was trying to get Todoroki to laugh, and Midoriya was mid-infodump when Bakugo’s pen snapped in half.
“Goddamn it—every single one of you is extra!”
The room went still.
“You—Shitty Hair. You—Spark Plug Idiot. Deku—don’t even get me started.”
He swung his eyes to you.
Then, without warning, his entire tone shifted.
“You good, Dollface? You need a new pen or what?”
The silence was deafening.
Everyone’s heads slowly turned to you like you were some kind of endangered species.
You blinked.
“I’m… I’m fine. Thanks.”
He grunted and looked away. Like it was nothing. Like he hadn’t just sucker-punched the entire room with affection.
You cornered him later that day behind the gym, heartbeat jumping.
“Bakugo.”
“What?” he barked. “You gonna yell at me for calling you somethin’ now? Don’t start—”
“I’m not mad. I just… why ‘Dollface’?”
His eyes narrowed—not angry, just calculating. Then, like a fuse lighting slowly, he exhaled.
“Because you’re not like them.”
You frowned. “Like who?”
He looked away, jaw tight.
“Everyone. All those extras run their mouths, act like they know everything. But you…” He met your eyes, and this time, his voice dropped. Quiet. Honest.
“You’re calm. You don’t take up space like they do. You’re sharp. Real. Strong, even when you’re soft. Like a porcelain bomb that knows how to hold back.”
You didn’t say anything, unsure how to breathe with your heart pounding that hard.
He ran a hand through his hair, grumbling. “It’s not an insult. I call you that ‘cause you’re... somethin’ else. Got a face like a doll and a heart like a grenade.”
“…So I’m not extra?”
Bakugo snorted.
“Yup, you're extra, extra mine. ”

God, the media would have a field day.
Charles can already picture it — grainy zoomed-in photos from some nosy tabloid bastard, Lando wrapped around him like a second skin, collar visible, hickeys blooming like sinful little flowers up his neck. Headlines screaming in every direction:
“FERRARI’S FINEST CAUGHT IN COMPROMISING POSITION.”
“ALPHA LECLERC AND OMEGA NORRIS SPARK OMEGAVERSE OUTRAGE.”
“F1’S SCANDAL COUPLE: INSIDE THE PIT LANE ROMANCE ROCKING MARANELLO.”
He almost laughs, right there between Lando’s legs, but swallows it down in favor of another long, indulgent lick over his lover’s slick folds. The image is too damn good, though — Lando, dripping in red racewear, scent glands flushed, post-qualifying glow on his cheeks, and Charles with his gloves still on, fingers curling possessively around his waist as they disappear somewhere they really shouldn’t be mid-paddock.
“God,” Charles mutters against his cunt, voice muffled and soaked in reverence. “Can you imagine it, amour? Us, right there in the Ferrari motorhome. You bent over my locker, still wearing your suit, and me—so desperate I don’t even bother unzipping. Just push in and pray no one hears.”
Lando whines, legs shaking around Charles’s shoulders. “They’d lose their minds. PR would combust.”
Charles chuckles darkly. “PR can suck my cock.”
“You’re such a menace.”
“And you love it.”
He slips his fingers back inside with practiced ease, and Lando gasps, his whole body jolting like he’s been plugged into a live circuit. The way he clenches around Charles’s fingers, desperate and soaked and wrung out from his last orgasm, sends a fresh wave of possessive satisfaction through Charles’s veins. This is his. His omega. His teammate. His biggest threat on track and his favorite toy in bed.
“Know what I’d say if they caught us?” Charles asks, licking lazily at Lando’s inner thigh, teeth grazing soft skin.
Lando, barely coherent, blinks blearily down at him. “What?”
“I’d say—” Charles presses a kiss to Lando’s hip, smug and shameless. “—'At least now you know why I keep finishing ahead of him.’”
“Fuck you!” Lando half-laughs, half-sobs, clearly scandalized and aroused in equal measure.
Charles grins, wicked and unrepentant. “Already are, baby.”
And then he flips them, effortlessly shifting Lando until he’s on his front, ass up, wrists still tied and cheek pressed into the sheets. Lando groans, hips arching instinctively, back flexing in the most mouth-watering way.
“Look at you,” Charles murmurs, kneeling behind him. “Ferrari’s first omega driver. Such a badass on track. And here you are, so fucking pretty and pliant. Ready for me.”
He lines himself up and pushes in slowly, savoring the way Lando stretches around him. The omega mewls, head tossed back, eyes fluttering as Charles bottoms out.
And then, soft, reverent, right in Lando’s ear: “My omega.”
The knot will come later. The scent-marking, the lazy aftercare where Charles lets Lando babble about strategy and tires while he pets his hair. But right now? Right now is just for them.
Let the press talk. Let the fans gossip.
Because Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris are more than just teammates.
They’re a goddamn force of nature.
And Ferrari’s never seen anything like them.

A Father's Resolve - Ch 7
Ingo returns after a decade - with two extra cars in tow. Years later, his kids are swallowed up by time in the same way he was. Will he be able to find them? Will they be able to make it out alive?
Word Count: ~2300
"Come on, Rei, we should battle! See what our new teams can do!" Akari begged.
"Isn't there a request from someone in the Diamond Clan that Laventon mentioned?" Rei asked.
"Yeah but this won't take long! Promise!"
"Fine," he relented, "but I'm bringing Spark Plug with me. I know you'll just spam some new water move on Campfire."
"Telling me your losing strategy already?" his sister teased as he gathered up the pokeballs.
They trekked to the pastures to make a better team for themselves as they considered what they would bring. It was so odd to see their captured, but not in use, pokemon playing together in the fields. The townsfolk avoided this area.
Then they set off for the dojo that Laventon had pointed out the night before. It was caged in by a half-wall, with a dirt patch set up like a fighting arena. It was small, but it would definitely work.
"Let's do this," Rei breathed. They hadn't properly battled in weeks.
They both sent out their starter first, Rei with Campfire and Akari with Riptide. Unfortunately, Rei knew exactly where this was going. “Campfire, return!” He threw out Spark Plug, the little Shinx meowing in challenge. Akari smirked. As Rei fired off a Thunder Shock, she sent out Bonnie the Ponyta, who took it like a champ. Rei gritted his teeth.
“Bonnie, Stomp!” Akari called. Rei flicked his wrist. The horse stomped onto thin air as Spark Plug dodged with blinding speed, setting off in a Quick Attack, which hit the horse square in the chest, sending it skidding back a few paces. It still stood its ground.
“Spark Plug, one more Quick Attack!” The cat responded with a speedy headbutt that the horse did not have time to respond to. It fell to its knees with a mournful whinny as Akari recalled it, sending out Riptide once again. She gritted her teeth.
“Tackle! Now!” Oshawott screwed its eyes in a glare and ran at Spark Plug, throwing its entire body into its opponent. It was a critical hit. Spark Plug fell quickly. Rei hurriedly sent out a different pokemon as Akari smirked- and then her face fell. It was not Campfire that Rei had sent out.
An Eevee stood on the field, it's body in a battle stance. He was hoping for the best with this. He watched as Akari scanned the field. “Swift!” Five white stars shot from Eevee, locking onto Riptide and following it even as it tried to run. The water pokemon tripped as it took the brunt of the attack, but it still stood back up. It managed to shoot off an Aqua Jet and took out the fragile Eevee. Rei recalled it and sent out his final pokemon. He needed to end this. “Quick Attack!”
“Aqua Jet!”
Both twins watched with bated breath as the wounded Oshawott and the disadvantaged fire type both carried out their commands, both colliding a with each other and bouncing back, residual ocean spray and dust kicking up and blocking out any vision and making Rei blink away debris until-
Only one pokemon still stood. Cyndaquil, its body coated with mud as it's back flames flickered for a moment before glowing brightly once more in triumph. Riptide was laying in the mud on its back, unconscious.
Rei whooped and ran over to his little pokemon, lifting it up by the armpits. “You did amazingly, Campfire! I'm so proud of you!” The fire-type smiled at him and whistled in excitement as the swung it around in the air. He set the baby back down as his sister was approaching her pokemon, bringing the Oshawott back to consciousness. “You did really well, too, Riptide.”
“You sure did, bud. Get some rest now.” It disappeared into the pokeball in a flash of light. Akari turned to Campfire and patted him on the head. “And good job to you! It's impressive that you could bring down a pokemon of a type that has an advantage over you!” It hummed at her as Rei recalled it and helped her to her feet, brushing off her pants.
"Oh, so you're the rookies everyone's been talking about!" Rei jumped at the booming voice and turned, his smug expression wiped clear off his face. Before him stood a tall, muscular woman. She was broad, with a red tunic emblazoned with the Galaxy Team logo. Her fiery red hair was pulled up into a flowing curly mane on top of her head. "Name's Zisu. You two have some fight in you. I wanted to stop by and give what advice I could." She grinned and slapped his back, making him see stars.
How was she this tall? She had to be at least 7 feet tall. She towered over Rei, her hands relaxing on her hips. "You know, if your pokemon masters a move, you can use it in different styles!" Rei tried to listen, he really did, but his ears were ringing. He remembered something his father had mentioned a long time ago.
"Daddy?" Rei picked up his Lillipup plush and stared at it, making it hop up and down.
"What is it, little cub?" Dad had asked, turning his head to gaze at his son over the paperwork he was filling out.
"What was Mommy like?" The boy's silver eyes had laid upon his father's as he awaited an answer. His sister had looked up from her playing as well, her small hands that gripped her dolls pausing in their actions.
"Well," he had said, sitting up and pushing away the paper, "she was a fighter, for one thing. Loved pokemon battles, almost as much as your uncle," he chuckled. He stared out the window, his eyes misty. "I wouldn't be surprised if you both grew up taller than me."
"Why?" Rei had asked, hugging his plush to his chest and cocking his head.
"Your mother was very, very tall," his father said. "Towered over me and just about everyone else. She was good at pokemon battles and wrestling." He looked between his twin children. "I do wish one of you had gotten her red hair," he lamented, ruffling Rei’s hair and making him giggle, "but this way you two get to match!"
"She's the one who wanted to name us, right Daddy?" Akari had joined them at the table, her small hands grabbing the edge and standing on her tiptoes to see them.
Ingo had taken her into his lap. "That's right, cub. The heros were the only ones to ever beat her in a pokemon battle."
"Wow," Akari said in wonder, her silver eyes sparkling, "she must have been really good."
"She was very good," their father had said. "Very very good."
Rei locked eyes with his sister, who looked just as shocked as he did. She'd figured it out, too.
"... and if you need any cool new moves for your pokemon, just let me know!" Zisu boomed, her grin wide.
"Y-yeah, we will," Akari stammered. "We should probably go, uh, check with Laventon about the Diamond Clan stuff now." Rei nodded in agreement, his wits slowly returning to him.
"I'll see you two around, then," she waved as they made their escape.
"I didn't think she'd be here!" Rei whispered in Unovan to his sister.
"I thought she'd be someone from the Pearl Clan!"
"I did too!"
"What do we do?" she whispered to him, her hands shaking. "Our dead mom is just living in the village! With us!"
"She doesn't know yet," he pointed out, "we haven't been born yet. And she's not dead. Here. Yet. Has she even met Dad?"
"I have no idea," Akari whispered.
"I say we just pretend everything's normal. Maybe we can get to know her a bit," Rei said.
"How? She might figure it out!"
"That we're her kids from the future that she had with a member of a different Clan? I don't think that's the first conclusion she'd jump to," he retorted. "Look, it's weird, yeah, but if we pretend everything's fine, then everything's fine. We're essentially strangers to her. We don't even really look like her."
Akari sighed. "It just feels so weird."
"Oh I agree," he remarked, "but I mean, what do we say? We need to do our jobs and she has things we can use, like training. I think that's gonna be a rare thing out here. We can't just say we refuse to see her just because."
"Yeah," his sister sighed. "You're right."
"I know I am," he smirked. "Now let's go see what this mission entails."
They met up with Laventon, who informed them that they should go meet with Mai, a Warden from the Diamond Clan, in the Obsidian Fieldlands. That was easy enough, Rei thought. The sun was up and out, the sky almost unbroken blue. There was a light breeze, but not much to complain about. They trekked to the Fieldlands, the now-familiar tents beginning to come into view as they came over the hill.
“Boo!” Rei jumped at the voice suddenly behind him and whirled around. A head of blonde hair bobbed in laughter. “Did I get you? I bet I did. Just wanted to come by and wish you guys luck. You know about the Back Strike Technique? It's a bit of a secret.” Rei breathed a sigh of relief. It was just that merchant from the other day.
“Oh- uh, yeah, thanks, Volo,” Akari stammered. “We best be on our way…”
“Of course, don't let me keep you up!” He waved at them jovially and set off in the opposite direction down the path. The twins looked at each other and shrugged. They kept walking.
Laventon waved to them from the camp and pointed to the bridge. “Down there is where Mai is waiting. She said she needed help with something important. I'm sure you'll be the perfect folks for the job!”
The twins bobbed their heads and immediately set off, making sure to give any Shinx a wide berth lest they get a repeat of yesterday.
—-----
After their spat, Elesa had insisted on taking the trio out for dinner. And in order to do so, showers were in order. Emmet had gone first, allowing Ingo and Elesa some time to themselves as he scrubbed himself clean. His hair regained its light silver hue. He shaved and scrubbed and cleaned for well over half an hour before finally emerging, a towel over the bottom half of his body and wet hair dripping into his eyes.
“You'd better not be dripping water all over the carpet!” Elesa shouted from the kitchen.
“You don't even pay the mortgage here!” Emmet cursed to himself as he shivered.
Arceus. It was cold out here. He hurried to his bedroom to get clothes on.
He heard Elesa arguing with his brother and a few short minutes later, the shower turned on again. Emmet rolled his eyes as he threw on a t-shirt and some pants and ruffled his hair with the towel. He'd left his hairbrush in the bathroom.
“Who's in the bathroom?” he asked as he approached the door.
“S'not me,” came Elesa's reply from the kitchen. Emmet opened the door without any hesitation. The steam was the first thing to hit him square in the face, warm and humid. Then Ingo's shout as his gaunt face poked out of the shower curtain, his hair in his eyes, still with shampoo in it.
“Hey! I'm showering here!”
“As if we don't have literally the same junk. I'm grabbing my hairbrush, ya big baby.”
“I've heard of this fantastic new phenomenon called knocking!”
“Oh! You'll have to show me sometime, I must not have gotten the memo.” Emmet stood stubbornly in the bathroom, the door still half open as he brushed his hair in the foggy mirror, smirking.
“Oh my Arc, get out. You're letting in the cold air.” Ingo flung water at him, forcing him to make a tactical retreat as he sniggered.
Emmet brushed his hair and made himself presentable as the shower shut off. Elesa was scrolling her phone on the couch as she waited for the twins to finish up. “How do you feel about Carthey's?”
“That sounds fine to me.” He knew Ingo also like Carthey's well enough. Emmet adjusted his button-up, popping the collar and making sure the buttons were all fastened. Before long, his brother appeared in the front room as well, looking identical to Emmet. “One of us is going to have to change,” Emmet grinned.
“You've been recycling that joke for over thirty years.”
“And it's funny every single time!”
“I beg to differ.”
“Then beg.” Ingo squinted at Emmet, who was grinning like an idiot. He scoffed, but Emmet could see the twinkle returning to his eyes. Good.
“Ig? Carthey's? Yay or nay?” Elesa cut in.
“That sounds lovely tonight. Been awhile since we had it.” Ingo was popping his own collar and smoothing out his shirt. He looked worlds better than he had the night before. He was still struggling, that much was obvious; the bags under his eyes were still there and his fingers still shook slightly with exhaustion. But the shadows were not as consuming, his shaking had reduced to tremors, the lights in his eyes had somewhat returned. Emmet knew from firsthand experience that he would not be okay until he got his babies back, but in the meantime, Emmet was happy to see his brother back from being a walking corpse.
“I'm willing to bet it's been awhile since you had anything. I'm ready to go whenever you dorks are.” The trio crowded out the door and Emmet locked it behind them, telling Haxorus to watch over the house while they were gone.

The Truth Lies (In An Unmarked Grave)
Chapter Four
(Ao3 Link)
In which Rex continues to have a very bad day.
Rex goes back to his room.
He does not go to sleep.
Instead, he gets out a datapad, makes a new document, and starts to write. He writes in the code that Cody taught him when he was still a cadet on Kamino– it’s not a perfect solution, but he doesn’t have any access to flimsiplast, and he needs to get his thoughts in line, needs to put things down somewhere that’s not his head.
He wants to scream. He wants to throw his datapad at the wall. He wants to march back out of his room and demand that General Skywalker listens to Fives’ concerns. He wants to demand that Fives explains what the kark is up with those chips. He wants to demand that Fives tell him what he was thinking when he spun that story in the warehouse, because the story Fives gave before his death couldn’t possibly be real.
He does none of those things.
Using his datapad is surprisingly difficult– there have been several updates changing the layouts in the last couple years, and it takes a moment for his brain to recognize the one they’re on. It takes a few more moments to remember how to navigate it– why was the edit button ever on the left– but soon enough he’s getting in the flow of it.
Bothawui, JanFathal, Rodia. Maridun, Orto Plutonia, Naboo. Those are just the first six he can remember, and that’s after wracking his brain for memories. He remembers this part of the war, sure, but… it’s not the clearest. It’s mostly through the memories of death that he’s been able to piece anything together at all.
And isn’t that depressing, a timeline remembered by people lost. Rex sighs, and gets back to work.
He sits back once he’s written down everything he can remember, stares at the datapad. Three years of his life, condensed down into four and a half pages of coded notes. The bare bones of it all, the minimum needed to hopefully spark memories in the future. Efficient. Productive. Cody would approve.
Force hells, he wants to talk to Cody so badly.
Rex allows himself a glance at his comm, grants himself a brief mental indulgence of the wish to pick it up and call Cody. Imagines Cody picking up, imagines confessing everything. Taking the weight off his shoulders, and letting Cody carry part of it.
But he can't. He can't put Cody at risk like that, not when they don't know what caused this, not when everything is so up in the air. This could be a Separatist plot. The Seppies could be watching. Calling Cody might put him in danger he wouldn't otherwise be in.
The war is dangerous enough on its own. Rex doesn't need to help it out, doesn't need to give the Seppies a free target.
Fierfek. He's going to have to lie to Cody, isn't he? Maybe it's best that they aren't in the same system right now— Rex can try and shore up some skill in lying before he has to do it to the brother who knows him best.
He thinks, bitterly, that he hasn't liked the person the war has been turning him into for a while now. Lying to Cody is just— what's the natborn saying again? The one General Kenobi uses sometimes?
The… frosting on the cake? No, that's wrong. The icing on the cake, that's it.
Lying to Cody is just the icing on the cake of bad decisions the war has forced him into. Nothing that can be done about it. Not by him, anyway.
(Sometimes he thinks of Cut and his family and his farm and aches.)
They reconvene in one of the more secluded breakrooms in the morning after breakfast to formally talk strategy.
“Will we even be able to find Skytop Station again, sir?” Rex asks. “Last time, R2-D2 transmitted the original coordinates to us, but…”
He trails off, makes eye contact with the General. The General nods, getting what he’s going at.
“But we didn’t memorize them,” General Skywalker finishes, “we just plugged them into the navigation system, and let the tech do the work. I think I remember it being located in the Ruusan system, but I don’t know anything more specific than that.”
And yeah, the Ruusan system sounds about right to Rex.
“We can give that to Republic Intelligence as a starting place, at least.” Rex says, “a listening post in the Ruusan system. Anything else we know?”
General Skywalker slowly shakes his head, then stops. "The droid," he says, "the droid that's assigned to me after I lose R2, R3. It's a Separatist spy.”
“Right,” Rex says slowly. “Should we put in a request for a new droid to try and get it here regardless? Then we’ll be able to watch it, and the moment it acts, we can report it.”
“I mean, we could do that, or we can just call them and tell them that the droid’s a Sep.”
Rex stares at the General. The General stares back.
“Sir, we can’t just call up the people in charge of distributing supplies and say that their droid is a Seppie spy without proof.”
“Why not?” General Skywalker asks with a shrug. “I’ll say that the Force told me. That’s not how the Force works, but I doubt that they’d know that. And it’s not like they’re going to bring it up to another Jedi to double check.”
… Right. He… should’ve expected an answer like that, in all honesty. And if that works, well, it's a clear enough way to get rid of that problem…
"If I'm remembering the way Ahsoka said it last time correctly, the droid had just freshly shipped out when he got here, right? So we'd need to call whoever distributed him to us."
"Yessir," Rex says, then pauses, thinks. There’s something that’s been bothering him about this whole thing, something he thought of last night and hasn’t been able to reason away yet. "Sir, if the droid had just freshly shipped out, when did it become a Seppie?"
"What?"
"If the droid came straight from the factory to here, it presumably should’ve only had contact with Republic operatives. So when did it become a Separatist? How does it know where to send data?”
General Skywalker freezes in place. Only for a moment, though– it’s General Skywalker, after all. Then, his right hand rapidly starts tapping on the table as he thinks, a familiar gesture even in this strange time.
“You think there’s a traitor in manufacturing?”
“Yessir, there, or somewhere else in the delivery chain,” Rex says with a nod. “As far as I know, droids don’t just radicalize randomly. There had to be some kind of trigger to send it down that path.”
“Hm,” General Skywalker replies, frowning. “You make a good point, Rex. Maybe we shouldn’t call it in, then– we don’t want to tip ‘em off that we’re onto them.” He pauses to pace back and forth for a moment, staring at the ground. Rex waits. “Maybe we should just request R3 specifically, then, to make sure that we get him. Then, once he’s here, I can access his memory logs to see who, exactly, convinced him to turn traitor.”
Rex nods. That seems as solid of a plan as any. Now, t’s just time to wait until they arrive at Bothawui and face down General Grievous.
His General looks confident in their plan. Rex wishes he could echo that feeling. But he remembers the blood this ended in last time, and even though General Skywalker seems certain it will go better this time, he can't shake the doubt that's crawling up his spine and making a home in his brain.
He has faith in his General. He trusts his General. He does. It's just—
Well. The memories of Fives's death are still ever present in his mind, even with the man alive, mere rooms away from him. And while Fives's death certainly wasn't the General's fault— Rex knows damn well who exactly pulled the trigger, who looked him in the eyes afterwards and said, voice cold as can be, that it was a regrettable turn of events, but I was just following orders, Captain, just like you should. Now get the hell out of my office before I make you— still, the General's role in Fives's death was, well, not nonexistent. It's a fact that tastes bitter every time he tries to swallow it, and it always clogs up his throat instead, refuses to go down.
It's not that Rex doesn't trust his General. He does. He trusts him with his own life more than he's trusted anyone with anything, save maybe Cody.
But his brother's lives?
After so many failures, Rex can't trust himself with those, nevermind the General.
But he has to trust the General, and he has to trust himself, because that is what the war demands. And if there's anything Rex knows he was made for, it's to be exactly what the war demands.
They spend the next two hours actually planning the technicalities of the battle. What they're going to change, how best to fight back the Seppies— there's just one problem.
Their original plan was a good plan. A solid plan. The best plan they could've come up with considering the amount of men they have at their disposal.
But Rex knows it won't be enough. They'll win the fight, sure, and that's what really matters in the end, but—
He can't stop himself from asking the unthinkable anyway.
"Is there any way we could retreat?" he asks finally, after they spend a solid twenty minutes arguing about a single formation. Retreating is, after all, what General Kenobi will suggest when he calls in just under an hour. "I know that means we will lose Bothawui, but—"
"We can't lose Bothawui, Rex," Anakin shoots back. "If we lose Bothawui, the Republic loses its hold on the sector, and we can't afford that. That will give the Separatists a foothold in the Mid Rim that would be devastating for us."
Rex bites his tongue hard enough that he can taste blood in his mouth. The General is right. He knows that to be true. Their victory at Bothawui is one of the few overwhelmingly successful victories they have throughout the war— destroying all of Grievous's Munificent-class star frigates is no small feat, after all. The casualties they suffer are nothing in light of that. As long as the General doesn't try to hunt down Grievous alone this time, he shouldn't lose R2, and Bothawui should be a roaring success.
In the end, it's for the greater good. It's so they can win the war, eventually. Even if there's a part of him that's beginning to believe the war will never end, that they'll never see the results of these actions.
He's four years in the past. Force. How is he meant to deal with that?

Air Filter Replacement: Replace the air filter every 25,000 km. A clean air filter not only promotes proper air intake but also enhances fuel efficiency—your Kicks will appreciate the fresh "breath."
Spark Plug Inspection: Check the spark plugs around the 40,000 km mark. Properly functioning spark plugs are critical for smooth ignition and effortless starts.
By following these maintenance tips, you can proactively address common engine issues, ensuring your Nissan Kicks remains reliable for your daily adventures.
Fuel Efficiency Optimization
With a power output of 124hp, your Kicks isn’t just about spirited drives; it’s also designed for impressive fuel economy. Enhancing fuel efficiency can save you money and extend your engine's lifespan. Here are some effective strategies:
Use OEM-spec Fuel Injectors: Ensure the fuel injectors meet GCC standards. This consistency in parts translates to reliable performance.
Maintain Proper Tire Pressure: Keep tire pressures at 33 PSI for the front and 32 PSI for the rear. Correct tire pressure reduces rolling resistance, enhancing fuel economy.
Throttle Body Maintenance: Clean the throttle body annually to promote better airflow, which directly correlates to engine efficiency.
These measures will ensure your Nissan Kicks performs optimally, even amidst fluctuating fuel prices in the AED/SAR markets.
Technical Specifications Breakdown
Understanding your engine's specifications can guide effective maintenance planning. Here’s a snapshot of the 2018 engine performance metrics:ParameterSpecificationDisplacement1498 ccMax Power124 HP @ 6,300 RPMTorque109 lb-ft @ 4,400 RPMFuel SystemDirect Injection

Being aware of these numbers can help you gauge engine health and anticipate repairs.
Common Repair Patterns: 2018-2024 Data
An analysis of common repairs reveals essential insights for planning:
About 23% of vehicles required throttle body cleaning by 60,000 km.
Approximately 15% reported needing ignition coil replacements before hitting 80,000 km.
Average repair costs ranged from AED 1,200 to AED 2,500.
This data assists in budgeting and preparing for potential repairs over time.
Long-Term Reliability Factors
Your Nissan Kicks is designed to tackle varying climates, especially in hotter regions like the UAE. To enhance long-term reliability, consider the following:
Use High-Temperature Coolant: Opt for coolant rated for temperatures above 50°C to prevent overheating during sizzling summers.
Upgraded Radiator Caps: Installing radiator caps rated at 1.3 bar can maintain optimal cooling system pressure.
Shade Matters: Whenever possible, park in shaded areas to avoid prolonged heat exposure.
Tumblr media
These straightforward adaptations will ensure your engine withstands local environmental challenges.
Software Updates Available
In today’s high-tech environment, maintenance includes software! Nissan dealers are offering updates that can enhance your driving experience:
ECU Remapping: For smoother acceleration and refined engine response.
Transmission Control Unit Optimization: Ensures efficient gear shifts.
AC Compressor Cycling Adjustments: Helps run the engine cooler under load.
These updates can subtly refine how your Kicks interacts with you as you drive.

Why Your Sales Team Needs a Content Marketing Specialist More Than You Think
Tumblr media
When most businesses think about content marketing, they picture blog posts, social media captions, and SEO strategies run by the marketing department. But here’s the truth: your sales team needs a Content Marketing Specialist just as much if not more than your marketing team does.
Why? Because content isn’t just for clicks. It’s fuel for conversations, follow-ups, and closing deals.
In fast-moving sales environments, reps don’t just need product knowledge they need tools that spark trust, answer objections, and guide prospects through the buyer journey. That’s where a Content Marketing Specialist becomes a secret weapon.
1. Sales Conversations Are Content-Driven
Every buyer has questions. Great content answers them before the rep even gets on the call.
A skilled Content Marketing Specialist knows how to:
Create sales enablement materials like one-pagers, case studies, and pitch decks
Write email sequences that drive opens and replies
Build objection-busting blog posts and whitepapers
Align messaging with the actual language your prospects use
Instead of having reps reinvent the wheel on every deal, content provides consistency and confidence. When your sales team is backed by the right words, they close more.
2. Follow-Up Without Value = Dead Air
Let’s be real most sales follow-ups are painfully generic.
“Just checking in…” “Circling back…” “Any updates on your end?”
Now imagine if your follow-up included a fresh blog post that directly addressed your prospect’s hesitation. Or a short guide that speaks to their industry pain point. Or a testimonial video that makes their decision easier.
That’s what a Content Marketing Specialist brings to the table. They create follow-up ammo that adds value, not noise helping reps stay top of mind without sounding desperate.
3. Shorter Sales Cycles, Smarter Buyers
Today’s buyers do their homework. By the time they talk to sales, they’ve already:
Visited your website
Read (or skimmed) your blog
Checked out reviews and competitors
If your content doesn’t tell the full story or worse, doesn’t exist your sales team starts on the back foot.
A Content Marketing Specialist makes sure the right information is available at every stage of the funnel. That way, by the time a lead hits your sales team, they’re informed, aligned, and ready to move.
4. Content Powers Personalization at Scale
Every sales leader wants personalization. But most sales reps don’t have time to write unique intros or dig through blog archives before hitting “send.”
Enter the content specialist.
They create:
Industry-specific resources
Persona-based messaging
Modular templates that reps can plug into their outreach tools (think: HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach)
With the right content system, your reps can personalize quickly without slowing down.
5. Your Competitors Are Already Doing It
If your competitors have a stronger content presence, better materials, and clearer messaging, you’re already behind.
A well-trained Content Marketing Specialist gives your sales team a competitive edge by:
Aligning your brand voice across all touchpoints
Ensuring your sales materials actually match what your website promises
Giving your reps the firepower to pitch with clarity and conviction
In a noisy market, great content isn’t a “nice to have.” It’s what separates winners from everyone else.
Final Thoughts: Sales + Content = Growth
If you want your sales team to close more, faster, and with fewer headaches, give them what they really need: a Content Marketing Specialist embedded in their world.
At Cadre Crew, we train and place content pros who understand both marketing strategy and sales execution. They don’t just write they build revenue tools that drive real business results.
Because content isn’t just about traffic.
It’s about trust.
And trust is what closes deals.
Ready to give your sales team the support they deserve? Let’s build your content engine.

Why Sri Lankan Vehicle Owners Must Prioritize Preventive Engine Maintenance
Tumblr media
For vehicle owners, keeping the engine in optimal condition is essential to ensure longevity and performance. Neglecting regular maintenance can lead to costly breakdowns and extensive repairs. Whether you own a car, van, or truck, finding reliable engine repair in Sri Lanka can become a challenge if issues escalate due to lack of preventive care.
Preventive Engine Maintenance's Significance
Regular inspections, prompt servicing, and the replacement of crucial parts before they fail are all part of preventive engine maintenance. It is a proactive strategy that guarantees smooth operation and fuel economy while assisting in the prevention of expensive damage. Because of Sri Lanka's hot and muggy weather, engines are more prone to wear and overheating, which makes maintenance even more important.
Principal Advantages of Preventive Maintenance
Increases Engine Life An engine's lifespan can be considerably increased with routine coolant top-ups, air filter replacements, and oil changes. Ignoring these easy activities might result in irreversible harm and cumulative wear.
Increases Fuel Efficiency A well-kept engine uses less fuel overall because it burns it more effectively. This results in a more ecologically friendly driving experience in addition to fuel savings.
Avoids Unexpected Failures You can become stranded on the road if your engine suddenly fails. By identifying wear early on, preventive maintenance enables repairs to be made before a breakdown happens.
Cuts Down on Expensive Repairs When neglected, minor problems can grow into larger ones that need costly repairs. Checking belts, hoses, and spark plugs are examples of basic maintenance procedures that can reduce repair expenses by thousands of dollars.
Crucial Advice for Preventive Maintenance
Frequent Oil Changes: Internal components are lubricated and protected by engine oil. As advised by the manufacturer of your car, change the oil.
Check Coolant Levels: Engine damage is frequently caused by overheating. Maintain the proper fluid levels and make sure the coolant system is operating as intended.
Examine the belts and hoses: Serious engine problems may result from worn-out belts or damaged hoses. Periodically inspect them and swap them out as necessary.
Maintain a Clean Air Filter: A clogged air filter uses more gasoline and decreases engine efficiency. To ensure ideal airflow, replace it frequently.
Pay Attention to Strange Noises: Serious engine issues may be indicated by knocking or rattling sounds. To prevent more damage, take quick action in response to any strange noises.
The Effects of Preventive Maintenance Over Time
Automobile engines are intricate devices that need constant maintenance. Ignoring minor problems might cause irreversible harm, shortening the vehicle's lifespan. Sri Lankan car owners can enjoy a dependable and comfortable driving experience while avoiding needless expenses by giving preventive maintenance first priority.
Dimo Engineering Solutions provides comprehensive solutions to keep engines operating efficiently for clients looking for professional advice and servicing. Vehicle owners can avoid future expensive issues by investing in routine engine maintenance now.
