The Complete Timeline of Splatoon

Five years have passed since the release of Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch. At long last, the third game is right around the corner. In this video, I want to give you a comprehensive overview of the series so that you’re more than ready for the big splash when Splatoon 3 releases on September 9th.

This project started out as a simple Splatfest overview where I share my pick for each one. But as per usual, I couldn't stop my self from making the video more elaborate. I ended up making an entire timeline, lore and games overview video.

You may notice that much of the script is copied from the Splatoon Wiki. This was to save time so I have enough to make the Splatfest picks videos before Splatoon 3 comes out. Huge thanks to the Splatoon Wiki for the information! Links can be found further down.

Hopefully, I won't be too burnt out from making this video to actually make what I initially planned, haha! In any case, please give my Twitch channel a follow, as I'll be streaming a lot of Splatoon soon!

If its not, and I just remember from Mandela, obviously its best I know. Its about how Octo Canyon and Octo Exp. take place simultaneously, or at least basically the same time. I looked through some of the interviews in your document, but no joy. If I’m right, please direct me, if I’m wrong, you can just tell me.

I think this is a question that i see pop up a lot. this was something stated by Nogami in the Splatoon 2 first anniversary Octo Expansion interview. Nogami: The events in Hero Mode and Octo Expansion take place on the same timeline. Therefore, the stories of Hero Mode and Octo Expansion don’t interfere with each other, and you can play either one first. However, with the release of Octo Expansion and the increase of Octolings in the city, the time in the world of Splatoon 2 has moved forward a bit. But if you haven't played Octo Expansion and are just looking at Inkopolis Square, you'll think, "Wow, there are a lot of new hairstyles.” The Inklings are so hedonistic that they don't even notice the coming of the Octolings (laughs).
