[remember-to-dream]

In the echoes of the court, where dreams take flight, I see you, a star ablaze in the night. Your laughter, a melody that dances in my mind, In your flight, my heart is forever confined.

With every dribble, my pulse quickens, fast, In your presence, moments stretch, yet fade too fast. Your gaze, a fleeting brush, a spark, a flame, In this arena of giants, I whisper your name.

I stand in the crowd, a face among many, My love, a secret, in silence buried gently. You, the comet I’ll never touch, nor hold, In this game of fate, a story untold.

I wish you love, beyond the roar and cheer, A heart to hold, to banish every fear. May health be your ally, strength your guide, In every victory, with pride by your side.

Success, I pray, be yours, in every stride, In the symphony of your life, let joy abide. Though I'll never have you, my star in the sky, I’ll love you from afar, until the day I die.

On the Run from yourself

You hit the open road,

The place you aim for is a mystery,

Only carrying a travellers load,

Tomorrow is already history.

Right here and now is where it’s at, 

Just you and your favourite jogging hat, 

Whilst running is on your mind you wont be using your feet,

You can sprint at 100 miles an hour with your bum fixed to the seat.

In a car with no brakes but your not thinking of stopping,

The car has no space but your not planning on shopping,

The next stop is wherever,

The destination is a mystery,

The time of arrival is don’t care,

The rest is now History!

Wild Card by Juan Carlos Solis

In ‘45 is when they last appeared -  a curse that is no longer seen as truth. The team that will forever be revered acquired greatness with a group of youth. A tragic franchise now had hope: the kids were thought to need a year to win; instead they fought and did not quit. There were some skids but rallies - late heroics only fed their ever growing self-esteem. The thrills of winning drove their earnest play-off thirst. Was long, the hunt for Blue October. Chills swarmed fans when bottles of champagne were burst. There’s still one game to play that must be won. To win is but a journey just begun.
