if one wanted armour only for aesthetics, but is of an unusual fit (bit short, enormous legs) where would you suggest looking? either mail or plate, i expect mail is easier for the oddly proportioned? also, do any places blue their steel? the anti-corrosion is nice but i just love the colour.

So we're looking for metal armour, but aesthetics only, no combat, preferably blued.

Metal armour is always going to be less forgiving and more expensive than the cosplay and larp alternatives of: foam, plastic, and leather.

If you get custom fit armour, regardless of if it's plate or mail, it should fit whatever proportions you are. Mail is easier to tailor yourself, but it still doesn't stretch.

I would imagine you would prefer to not pay for a custom suit by a master armourer. But those would definitely be fitted to you and could be either head blued or chemically blued. Like this suit by Rene Kohlstruck:

What comes to mind first is Armstreet's Dark Wolf and Stars of Steel collections.

These are their spring steel collections and when using spring steel the armour is blued in the tempering process (so blued is the default because sanding it off is extra effort). I've noticed @knightwithakay owns several pieces from this collection, so perhaps you might ask them about their Armstreet armour buying experience.

Other than gauntlets, I have not ordered armour from Armstreet so I cannot say how accurate the fit will be. I've had mixed results on shoes/boots from them. But they do have a return policy ("except where the item is faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to us"), so in theory if you get something that doesn't fit you can exchange it. What I've done when getting something that doesn't fit is to find a friend who does fit it, so I haven't tried returning anything... yet. They do ask for measurements though, so regardless of how you are shaped, the armour should fit. Example:

Since you're not worried about function, poking around LARP stores is going to be the most straightforward (and LARPers are going to know more about that than me). You are going to end up with a more fantasy aesthetic, unsure if that is a problem.

Epic Armoury sells LARP armour, including metal (mostly thin mild steel). They do not do custom fitting and they seem to make armor in only a couple sizes. I see their Visored Barbuta all over the internet and it does come in "dark":

You can also chemically blue steel (stainless, mild and spring all react to the bluing they just don't all come out the same shade/colour), look into "gun bluing."

If you're open to DIY options (that don't involve building your own armoury), chainmail is the place to go. Because you don't need it to function for taking hits, start with butted chainmail. There lots of colours/metals to choose from. Start with a small project to see if you like doing it (maybe a bracelet or a coif). There's probably decent tutorials out there.

If you find you like making chainmail, maybe graduate to riveted mail (or not if you're happy with butted).

I have a few predictions/possible stuff that could happen in Smg4 this year (or next) or just in general lol I need to think these lol

Smg4 might get some sort of villain arc or reveal he has issues with the events of IGBP or something and still feels guilty about it all. maybe even all the way back to WOTFI 2020. I just know he aint fine after all that, and there's proof Peaches castle bothered him right before the Puzzle Park song. Like YES Cannon Smg4 DOES have issues with that and isn't just 'fine' :)

There's some sort of like big character development arc in the background. Like Smg3 becoming good and overcoming the issues he has with Smg4 or something and ofc my favorite, Villan Smg4 (I like the idea a lot-)

IDK if any of you guys heard of the 'Shadow man' guy from a couple SMG4 videos, but I think he's going to be the next BEEEG Villan in the series (Like WOTFI25 stuff) Since I'm assuming Marty will be like the Spring and Summer arcs cuz he's been around. But the Shadow Man gives me Death from Puss in Boots vibes, since he's always in the background like him. But mainly he gives 'we're gonna get a mystery genre this year' or like magic or ghosts or something, cuz he's a ??? shadow guy. Seems like he'd be like a mystery genre kinda guy. All Murder Drones people lookin. But I think he's gonna have a big effect on the show and us as the viewer's :) cool. :0

What's a CTF? -> Capture the flag competition. Typically the challenges have the goal of finding a secret code (the "flag") in a file or environment you're given. Problem Example: if you're given an .jpeg image, there might be a secret code inside the file if you open it in a text editor.

How long does this competition take? It is a month long, broken down into 4 rounds, all covering the same topics in each round. The questions do get trickier as the rounds progress. But, you won't get booted if you don't complete every problem. You can work on it when you want to up until the deadline for that round. The training gym will be open for at least a month after the competition if you want to revisit and learn the topics! Gymnasium: One week long, learn new skills, low pressure, guides and tutorials available Practice: weekend long, practice what the real game will be like, answer key provided Individual: weekend long, the real game, only solo, solution discussion boards open after the deadline Team: weekend long, with your team mates, solution discussion boards open after the deadline. You can form teams before the game starts, I would recommend your class mates from the same school! For more info on how teams work, i'd check out the site for the full timeline and breakdown of these rounds

How are we scored? Each problem contributes to an overall accuracy and completion score for that round. So the individual and team game scores will be evaluated for prizes! You can get prizes if you're in the Top 500 I think.
