REMINDER: The clocks move ahead an hour tonight. That means more daylight, more sunshine, and more wondering why we still do this.

First things first: do you like spring? I think so, it’s always nice to go from the cold temperature to the warmer ones. 

What is your favorite thing about spring? That it’s no longer freezing. And working outside isn’t so harsh. 

What is your least favorite thing about spring? Hm, probably the bugs that start to come out of hiding. Or the pollen. I don’t have bad allergies but sometimes it makes my nose and ears itch.

Do you have a vegetable / produce / fruit garden? No way, I have a brown thumb. I think it’s probably best that I stay far away from any gardening! 

How about flower beds, or things planted in the house? We have some plants around the house. Sometimes I like to surprise my wife Lynn with a bouquet of flowers. 

Regardless of what you do or do not plant, are you good at growing plants? have a green thumb? Absolutely not!

What's your favorite flower or plant? I’m not really a plant or flower kind of guy, but I think cacti are kind of cool

What's your favorite scent that you associate with spring? Fresh linen or lavender if I’m being honest

Is there a sound that you associate with spring time? I’d have to say either rain or birds chirping

Do you prefer sunny mornings or rainy afternoons? Sunny mornings when working, but I don’t mind a rainy afternoon if I am home and by the fireplace. Bonus if Lynn and my kids are home

Favorite thing to do on a sunny, warm spring day? Probably to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Maybe have a nice picnic with Lynn and the kids

Favorite thing to do on a rainy, chilly spring day? Stay in bed! 

Do you celebrate Easter? any traditions you follow for it? Not the religious side of the holiday but having the kids paint the eggs and then Lynn and I hiding them around the house and yard.

Regardless of if you do or don't: favorite Easter candy? Solid chocolate anything!

What other springtime holidays do you observe? Does Mother’s Day count?

Favorite place in Merrock to visit in the springtime? Probably the countryside or the hiking trails

The spring bugs are coming out: do you rescue them and let them out of the house, or grab the nearest shoe? I grab the shoe, Lynn grabs a cup to rescue them!

Are you a big spring cleaner? Sometimes, I think it depends on how the year before went. If we bought or acquired a lot of stuff then maybe. Otherwise not too much.

Do you switch over your wardrobe from cold weather to warm weather clothes? Not really, my clothes are all sort of intermixed in the closet. 

How about the house: does your decor change for the spring season? Do you rearrange furniture? Not really. I think it’s maybe happened once or twice since living with Lynn?

What color makes you think 'spring'? Anything pastel

Describe your perfect spring outfit: A pair of jeans and a nice sweater. Maybe a pair of sneakers or loafers. 

Most adorable looking baby animal that you ever did see? I’m kinda biased, but my dogs as puppies were pretty damn cute. Otherwise baby sheep are also cute.

What's a drink that makes you think of spring? Maybe like a peach ice tea

How about a snack? Either strawberries or granola bars
