It is absolutely insane that the House hasn’t passed the Sunshine Protection Act. Free us from the biannual shackles of stupid time changes that are associated with more accidents and health issues, have nothing to do with farmers, and also aren’t even occurring country-wide! I know there are more important things to be worried about, but this thing passed the Senate in a unanimous vote two years ago! And, yeah, I think the fact that it was presented to the Senate like two days after we switched back to DST absolutely had something to do with the unanimous vote, but I don’t care! They voted it through! The time changes have more negatives than positives! We have gone off DST more than once as a country before! No one even did this prior to WWI! Get rid of the time changes! I don’t even care which time we stay on! Just stop making me switch my sleep schedule!

Losing a whole hour of sleep makes Mom and me both extra GRUMPy, but a little less so this year because we have an exciting new clock to look forward to! Some time ago, we backed a @kickstarter for the Author Clock, and now our clock is here! 🎁🐢

Every minute (or less frequently if you choose), the Author Clock displays an actual quotation from an actual book that includes the actual time! 📖 We chose to include approximate quotes (like the Edward Marston quote I booped here), but there is also an option for only exact time quotes and an option to include a digital clock at the top. A novel way to tell time indeed! 📚😉
