Does anyone else have trouble with Google analytics? I'm certain I added the code right, but I might configured some stuff wrong when I first set up the admin account, which I have no idea how to log back into. The app just takes me to the demo account. What? Do these people moonlight at GitHub or something? Anyway this is anal idiots compared to Statcounter.com

Stat Counter: Traffic General Analytics tool.

I feel like I should explain this tool in a general sense.

Stat counter is a tool you can use on your blog or website for data analysis for traffic.

However, there is some people who believe because if you use this tool, people are sending anonymous asks.

However, it will show who is visiting, the referral link, the Ip address which is public information.

It doesn't confirm on who is sending anonymous asks to any blog at all.

It shows who is visiting even with people who use a VPN. (I don't care to use a VPN).

If anyone is being accused of sending anonymous asks because stat counter says someone visited and you are suddenly getting asks sent to you? It's because your blog is getting traffic and in doing so it's because its public not hidden like a side blog here on Tumblr is.

What I can tell you is that accusing people of sending Anons without any proof of evidence is wrong.

What can you do to stop the anonymous asks?

Keep it off your blogs and don't turn it back on. Peace will be gained, and freedom will happen.

Reddit and other sites say stat counter provides data on anonymous asks but i never once have seen it do that for me, it only has shown who visited my blog here on Tumblr.

Traffic doesn't equal anonymous activity; it equals on data visits of your blog being public unless it is in dashboard only mode which prevents visitors on your blog if people are not logged into tumblr.

This is what i have gotten on my blog for the last two weeks. Barely any traffic besides the popular posts on my public blog here. The traffic is from here on Tumblr and referring websites like reblogs or other social media like twitter as an example.
