Yanno in how Taylor says “I used to think that love would be burning red/its golden/like daylight”?? Well we all know that that is OBVIOUSLY refering to Red right?? Well I relistened to the intirety of both the song daylight and the song Red and realized:

In Red Taylor sings about how she sees it all in her head and it’s all red and she can’t let go of it.

In Daylight Taylor sings about how she sees everything differently now, and everything is golden, like daylight. And now she can step into the DAYLIGHT (love), and let it go (whatever it was that was hurting her).

-This album is so special in SO many ways...while i was listening to it, it was like a marathon of emotions and attitudes and it felt...weird but at the same time amazing cause the songs portrayed EVERY situation perfectly..im not gonna say which is my favourite and stuff (AFTERGLOW) but all im gonna say is that the last song and the last line of this album left me speechless. I think “Daylight” is the most meaningful and true “last” song of an album that Taylor has ever given us. “You Are What You Love” she said...in words not singing as she closed the album with the famous phrase we all have learned by now....”Step into the daylight...and let it go”
